Nkwazi striker Augustine Mulenga has rejected the offer to play for Nkana.
Nkana secretary Ken Mwansa said Mulenga is not joining the 2013 FAZ Super League champions as earlier revealed.
The two clubs had concluded negotiations before the youngster changed his mind.
“We have cancelled the contract with Nkwazi so he is not joining us,” Mwansa said.
“He is not willing to come to Kitwe,” he added.
Late last month, Nkana announced that they had signed Mulenga on a loan deal.
Meanwhile, sources close to the player say his handlers have advised him against joining Nkana after a named Lusaka based Super League side offered him a contract.
“You know, he is a Lusaka boy so his family does not want him to move to the Copperbelt,” a source said.
Go to kitwe and get exposed Nkana will next year start playing continental games, lusaka boy that is an opportunity which you will remember once you miss it.
I hope that kid Mulenga goes to school in Lusaka
