THE National Council for Construction (NCC) has with immediate effect, restored all registration certificates for Yangts Jiang Enterprises Limited which was de-registered on December 12, this year for alleged non-performance.
NCC executive director Stephen Mashamba said the company was registered with his organisation and should be allowed to continue carrying out construction activities.
He said the lifting of the de-registration came in the wake of a meeting that took place between NCC, Energy Regulation Board (ERB) and Yangts Jiang Enterprises.
“We would like to inform you that the de-registration of this company has been restored. We would like to confirm that they are registered with NCC and they can continue doing construction activities,” Dr Mashamba said.
Yangts Jiang Enterprises Limited had allegedly failed to meet contractual obligations towards the ERB for the construction of its headquarter offices.
The NCC said it had on many occasions engaged the contractor to resolve all outstanding defects in the building but to no avail.

There was definitely a directive from way above after the Chinese Embassy stepped in.
LT, it’s Sylvester Mashamba, NOT Stephen Mashamba.
By the way, Black Coffee’s comment may not be far from the truth!!
