Patriotic Front (PF) Eastern Province chairperson, Lameck Mangani has advised the people of Eastern province to continue embracing the cousinship that President Michael Sata enjoys with them.

Reacting to Post Newspaper reports that President Sata ordered him to leave the Mfuwe airport over the weekend, Mr Mangani said the reports were blown out of proportion.

Speaking when he addressed a meeting in Mambwe district yesterday, Mr Mangani said President Sata enjoys traditional cousinship with people of Eastern Province.

He said people should not take offence and lose focus because of the cousinship.

Mr Mangani stated that the opposition should not take advantage of that to think that there is confusion in the ruling party.

He urged the PF members not be destructed by doing so the opposition will take advantage.

Mr Mangani added that it is not true that President Sata is no longer interested in the aspiring PF candidate for Mambwe.

He said instead party members should remain steadfast as the party has roots on the ground as evidenced by the scooping of Nsefu ward.

He also encouraged the people of Mambwe to work extra hard, adding that the President was impressed with the two meetings he held in Eastern province.

Mr Mangani said the successful holding of the two meetings in the two districts of Mambwe and Vubwi is an indication that the party is growing in the province.

The PF Chairperson has further clarified that the President did not come for campaign but to inspect developmental projects and took advantage of the trip to introduce the candidates for Vubwi and Mambwe.

    • Chamba mundala behave?. Why did he say Kambimba and GDM should also go to Chipata and campaign together. Why did he tell same people on both occasions to vote for PF if they wanted development?

Do not think people are F000ls. ayi.

    • Mangani should not blame the Post.Let Mangani deny that the President ordered him out of his sight and actually instructed Police to remove him from Sata’s face.Mangani should merely comment on this episode.

  1. That is a silly concluding comment – why go to the constituencies with potential bye-elections to inspect projects, and kill two birds with one stone, if there was law abiding in the PF? Development by bye is not what we want. The president must visit every part of the country, byes or no byes in the offing.

  2. Lomba ni kunkala tyala smiley or Zii even if akutukana a Sata in public in order to continue avoiding being sued for nkongoles.

  3. that is true mangani, u are areal man. to hell all the haters. ku bantu takwaba chisuma, who ever wil be president of zambia will be insulted. people are people, that why they are called people because they are people.

  4. mangani is like a mopping cloth which, after use it is thrown away. he is a serious bootlicker to gain protection from inkongole which he has to pay

  5. Enjoys cousinship!! He is supposed to be head of state and should enjoy respect which comes with good leadership. He can enjoy cousinship in his own personal capacity. Mangani you are a shameless dog.

  6. Truth be told: We are living in a dictatorship! Even though some politicians like Mangani may not admit it, Zambians have lost their freedom and dignity under the rule of the PF thugs. He should save his lies for his children, not everyone is fooled by his lame explanation. That man has no respect for him or any Zambian

  7. The Post has has a nasty habit of twisting stories. I was suprised to read its headline Story of Monday 16th December in which the falsely accused KK of having said he SINGLE HANDEDLY negotiated the release of Nelson Mandela. I watched and listened to KK at Madiba’s funeral. KK said that he he met Vorster for 3 days and Botha for 12 hours without success. He then met FW De Klerk and realised/said that ” This a man I can do business with”. Does the sentence ” This a man (De Klerk) I can do business with” translate to SINGLE HANDEDLY negotiated for the release of Mandela?

    • yes it does. KK didn’t credit the people of Zambia. His speech was I, I, I, and I did this and that. Nothing like the people of Zambia sacrificed a,b, c. yes he said (implicitly and explicitly) that he single-handedly negotiated the release of Madiba. Tanzanian president speech was about how Tanzania helped ANC whereas Kaundas speech was about how he himself influenced events

    • @Peter Njobvu. You & The Post are putting words in KK’s mouth. At what point did he use the word single handedly or singularly? Produce the verbatim. Joyce Banda spoke well/sense! As for Kikwete yes he spoke about Tanzania but overall his speech was a letdown talking about boots left behind by Madiba & if Mbeki had returned the Tanzanian travel documents? Yet this was a man who had time to prepare his speech at least KK who was called unexpectedly & was speaking off the cuff revealed his stubborn nature and opposition to apartheid and believe me the South Africans loved it & as a Zambian I am proud of the old man. Did you want him to say after 3 days & 12 hours the “Zambians” did not achieve anything? He is the only Zambian so far who has spoken and the whole world listened. I am proud of…

    • I am proud of any Zambian who achieves something NOT being petty, jealousy & cynical! (Think about it, two votes of thanks one of which (KK’s/impromptu) the ANC could not avoid due to pressure from key delegates)

  8. Just what is this moron saying? That his being ridiculed, insulted and vilified was nothing but a cousinship issue? But why is it that it is always the Easterners that have to bear the brunt of the insults? I have always stated that the Easterners’ Muzungu aikonde attitude is what has led to Bembas use them when convenient and afterwards discard them liked a sucked oranges. The relationship between the Bembas and that of Easterners is that of the rider and the horse and as long as their attitude does not change, this situation will obtain in perpetuity.

    • and what tribe are you yourself? If Tonga, then how do you explain the like of Nkumbula, VJ and Munkombwe? if Lozi, how do you explain Mongu voting PF because they thought they would recognise the Barotse agreement? if NW province, then how do explain Masumba and Taima being dumped like a finished broom? Avoid tribal discussions. just call mangani names and not label the whole province!
