Kabwata Member of Parliament given Lubinda has said that he is deeply saddened by the resignation of Defence Minister Geoffrey Mwamba.
Mr. Lubinda has told Qfm News that he failed to drive his vehicle when he heard the News of Mr Mwamba’s resignation.
He said that he has known Mr Mwamba to be a hard working person.
Mr Lubinda stated that President Michael Sata and other senior members of the party will greatly miss the services of Mr Mwamba.
He stressed that Mr. Mwamba’s resignation has come as a shock to him especially that he did not expect a senior Cabinet Minister to resign in such a manner.
Mr. Lubinda said that it is unfortunate that his good friend went straight to the media to announce his resignation.
Mr Lubinda has since wished Mr Mwamba the very best in his future endeavours.
He has also wished President Sata the best as he looks for one to replace Mr. Mwamba.

No doubt, GBM and People like Mathani have some percieved element of crookedness in them, but one thing you can’t take away from these two businessmen is their skill and ability to assess risk and place the right bets. This has made them survive through various regimes.
Might look like GBM stands to lose, but going by history, I think he has hedged his risk and placed the bet where he thinks the future is. It is not in Michael Sata.

For GBM to have to the press before submitting his letter of resignation has exposed his political immaturity and ignorance: these will come to haunt him in future when the real political fight starts. Don’t spit into the well you have just drunk from, before you are sure that where you are going there is water. He could have resigned in a dignified manner. The only reason he has not submitted his letter is because GBM we know is a coward and attention-seeker: it won’t surprise me to hear that he has reversed his resignation after discussions with elders and he will just return to his job since he didn’t even submit the letter. Not everyone should be resigning in the style of Lubinda. Lubinda was scandalised and spat on hence the way he kept quiet about everything was the best in his situation. GBM’s situation is different; don’t lawyers say every case is decided upon its own merits depending on the facts. Imagine been belittled by your boss using the phone of a person belonging in your enemy’s camp. Tax is not even issue. This guy never dodged taxes and may even have overpaid because he is not educated. But that is not to say that he is not clever! In my considered view, Mwamba is far more clever than Sata, Kambeba and Gay Sco.ttish put together.

When you notice signs you are about to get fired the best thing to do is resign quickly. This way you can control the information flow and you do not look as battered and humiliated as happened to Lubinda. GBM did the right thing to preempt his firing and now to most people he looks like a hero because it shows that he can control his own destiny unlike Lubinda who showed that his only way of survival was through a political appointment. 3. FAILURE BY THE PRESIDENT TO REPLACE HON. CHIKWANDA WITH A YOUNGER, MORE VIBRANT AND MOTIVATING MINISTER OF FINANCE.
