Ambassador in PF govt threatening 73 year old woman to get off her sons land

Share

My name is Pezzy Kudakwashe, born and bred in Zambia. Born in Chililabombwe in 1968 and raised in Lusaka until I moved to the USA in 2001.

Thank you for giving me a chance to share my story.

I have been in the diaspora since 2001. I have lived here first as a visitor, secondly as a student and after that,I worked as a missionary with an Assembly of God church in the state of Maine called Crossroads Community Church(CCC).After working with CCC for six years I was able to switch my status to permanent residence. I now live in Texas .I remember, I was young when I came here at age 33. I carried all my dreams from Zambia to fulfill them here.

Here is my problem, over the last twelve years I worked so hard and undertook various jobs and projects, my desire was to raise money and be able to build something home for my children and those that will follow after.I forsook some of my dreams so I could leave behind a legacy, one that will carry my name.

[pullquote]

stop harassing my 73-year-old mother with these, ” we are in government and have the power”, gimmicks.

[/pullquote]I managed to complete the purchase of a piece of land in Chamba Valley from late Hamweela Chitambala.

The land is known as subdivision C of Subdivision 24 of subdivision E of farm # 609 Chamba Valley Lusaka . Hamweela Chitambala had just inherited the land through the passing if his dad, late politician, Frank Chitambala.Mr Chitambala was adviser to Kenneth Kaunda in the first republic .The paperwork was formalized by the family administrator Mr Peter Mukuka Chitambala who is also like an elder brother to me.

There was a pending squatter problem that was resolved through the courts and the verdict was in our favor together with the Chitambalas. The squatters refused to move out and continued to live on the land defying and ignoring every injunction and contempt presentations.

But recently, a team claiming to be PF party cadres, thieves, invaded my land with impunity. The ring leader is ambassador Hamphrey Mwenya . They have vowed not to move out of the land. They have illegally built houses there and they claim nothing can happen to them because they are in power.

I personally communicated with Mr Mwenya who is deputy ambassador in Zimbabwe and explained to him that my land was not for sale, it is for my children. He promised to get back to me but never did. I called him three times and sent him emails too.

He has no legal papers or any document from anybody. His electricity and water bills are under my plot number. He is illegally living on my land and currently working with a lawyer to fight me off my land.He is a thief, with intentions to reap where he never planted. He has forcibly taken part of my land that I sweated for years to make a payment. This is not right. This is evil and this evil shall be stopped at all costs.

I know that these are not the goals and aspirations of the PF party and it’s leadership , at least from what they say .

Humphrey Mwenya who is supposedly representing our great nation Zambia in Zimbabwe, cannot be trusted. He has hired a lawyer to fight me over my land. I am paying in thousands of dollars to defend my own land. Is this what we voted for, is this the kind of leadership we worked so hard to put in power.

No, he is one of those that need to be kicked out and be trashed for ever.He needs first of all to be recalled, and be tried by the law for stealing my property. He needs to move away from my land with immediate effect and stop harassing my 73-year-old mother with these, ” we are in government and have the power”, gimmicks.

People of God and fellow Zambians, please help me fight these unruly thieves not just from stealing what belongs to me but from representing us in foreign nations.

Pezzy

In Christ’s love

    • You are born in 1968, you probably have grandchildren, stop moaning

Get a job, and prepare for a pension

nonsensical letter if you ask me, absolutely no sympathy from me

      Thanks

    • We thank you for exposing corruption by PF. Zambia is ours. We cannot tolerate a family tree to destroy it. The coutrs will rule in your favor if they follow the rule of law and have not yet been bought. Let us put someone else in state house in 2016.

  1. Pezzy, since this guy is just a deputy ambassador, get your story to Sata and he will get rid of him quicker than quick. He is a non-entity and so can be easily replaced. I think on this I have confidence that the president would act.

  2. Mr Pezzy, do you have Title Deeds to the Land? Could be the people you bought land from double played you. Its best to buy land directly from the city council not individuals, Zambians are crooked individuals when it comes to such. All the best.

    • You are completely out of order!

Do you know what context means? Better still ask if you did not understand that the person speaking is Zambian.

You and I have concealed our names here because we use aliases. It might be true that you may be called by a family name originating in another country, or in the case of a married woman, she may have her husband’s family name.

Sympathy and solutions are what the author is asking for.

  3. Those are the pipo sata is looking for, busy using PF for reaches No Way, report him to his exellence king cobra and u will see

  4. But do you have the title deeds? What about the people you bought from can they be trusted? Just go to state house and report this thief, I know HE MCS does not tolerate such nonsense.

Peace and Prosperity to Mother Zambia.

  5. I’m sure you know that we have several Acts that govern land administration in Zambia and as such you do not need to go through the press to fight your battle unless your story is fictitious. Contact an advocate and your problem will be resolved. We have the Sheriff’s Office which upon being ordered by a court of competent jurisdiction, can remove the squatters from your land. Good Luck!

    • You are living in la la la land.Don’t you know that Sheriffs,Police, supreme court justices etc bow down to cadres and the ’emperor’. The law of the land was suspended in September 2011 …expiry date 2016 pending review. Right now the only way people are heard is through social media.Ask GBM or better still the Egyptians

  6. Pezzy,

Please send me your email address and will show you how another of my friends solved the dilemma similar to yours. He had squatter on his land and sued them. She won the case about two months ago. Please do the same.

    • @John Daka
Ru sure? I have 20 acres between Ibex and Chinama golf club that I lost to squatters. I live in the USA. From what I have heard, squatters can be near impossible to remove. Since am not there, I just gave up. But if people have won their land back thru the court, may be it is worth looking into still.

  7. Some of you wit-nits need to grow up. This guy may have a Zimbabwean name but he is a Zambian by birth. The guys trying to grab his land are doing it in the name of PF, one of the most indisciplined political party that Zambia has ever seen.

  8. You have to be a beneficiary of these illegal so called cadres to have a problem with this post. Its probably true and that is why it has come out in the media and facts have been given. This needs to be taken seriously and well meaning Zambians must learn from this and stand up for what is right.

  9. Such squabbles are common in Zambia despite the abundance of land. Complicated as your story may sound, there is absolutely nothing to worry about if you’re in possession of the necessary documents to show that you are the rightful owner of the land.

Instead of writing to LT bloggers, I would advise you to consult an attorney who will handle the case professionally for you. Once the necessary paperwork is done, the courts should be able to issue a warrant of distress directing the squatters to vacate the premises. If this court order is ignored, a warrant of eviction/ arrest to authorize police to put you, as the land owner into full possession of your property may follow.

  10. we are not citizens of zambia because of the sound of our names. abash primitivity. we all came from somewhere outside zambia, apart from tongas, according yo history. fortunately tongas are too civilised to boast. i am not tonga.

  11. I have similar issue in mushe milling area..i have tried for past 5 yrs to remove them but no joy.
Is their any good lawyer i can engage who can help me remove these squatters…please some one help as i also spent millions to buy these land and i have been paying ground rent every year..

  12. No Sympathy here……why on earth do you think your “supposidly” legal land will remain idle in prime area for 15 years why you work 2 jobs flipping burgers. We need development in this country and any idle land laying idle for 20 years near chainama or chainda will be occupied. Come back and build if you want to secure your property not just crying foul from a foreign land…quiters
    !!
