Chilombo quits Forest Rangers

Share

Hector Chilombo has again resigned as Forest Rangers head coach weeks afte being heavily linked to the vacant top coaching job at FAZ Super League side Napsa Stars.

Chilombo rejoined Forest last August after a spell at Power Dynamos where he was an assistant to Beston Chambeshi before the duos’ dismissal in July.
Forest vice-Chairman Richard Kalasa revealed that Chilombo resigned last week.

The ex-Zambia defender’s one and a half year contract at Dola Hill is expected to expire this July.

“Yes, he has resigned but he has no blessings from Forest Rangers,” Kalasa said.

“His contract is supposed to expire in July this year so we are not happy,” he complained.

Following Forest’s demotion from the Super League last November, Chilombo claimed that he was staying at the Ndola club.

“I am staying at Forest, I have a contract,” he told LT Sports in November.

Meanwhile, Napsa are this month expected to name their head coach – who will take over from dismissed Peter Kaumba.

  1. Hector is a let down. I don’t understand why Forest even brought him back after what he did to them earlier. When he left Forest for Power Dynamos, he went with 4 good players and destabilized the team, this time around he has done the same by going to NAPSA with 5 good players from Forest. Shame on Hector.
