MMD President Nevers Mumba has described the PF cabinet as the most irresponsible and morally bankrupt group of people Zambia has ever raised.

Dr Mumba said members of the PF cabinet are irresponsible and morally bankrupt for allegedly failing to advise President Sata properly.

He was speaking on Tuesday when he successfully addressed a campaign rally in Katuba ahead of next Tuesdays by election.

Dr Mumba stated that members of the PF cabinet are merely interested in eating than providing leadership to the nation.

“I have never seen a group of people interested in eating and filling their stomachs than this PF cabinet,” Dr Mumba said.

He charged that President Sata’s administration is full of confusion because he is allegedly receiving bad advice from his cabinet.

Dr Mumba said it is sad that even Vice President Guy Scott who originates from England is failing to offer proper advice to President Sata on key national issues.

“It is shameful that even Dr Scott, a man whose origins are in England is today behaving as if he comes from Chitulika village.”

He added, “The President is fighting everyone and his cabinet is just watching. Ba Sata is fighting Chitimukulu, he is fighting the Barotse Royal Establishment, he is fighting with the Church, NGOs, opposition leaders and ordinary citizens and his Cabinet members can’t advise him because they want to eat. This is the most irresponsible and morally bankrupt group of people Zambia has ever raised.”

And Dr Mumba said that people of Katuba have a chance to redeem themselves by saying no to the PF lies during next Tuesday’s by election.

He charged that he has never seen a President anywhere on earth who lies as much as President Sata.

Dr Mumba said Zambia is currently being governed through deceit adding that President Sata tells lies every day.

“The people of Katuba made Zambia proud in 2011 by voting for MMD. When everyone on the Copperbelt, Northern and Muchinga Provinces was singing about the boat, you people here stood by the clock and you can do the same this Tuesday by voting for our candidate Cecil Homes,” he said.

Dr Mumba made a passionate appeal to the electorate in Katuba to vote for Mr Homes to enable the MMD carry on the developmental projects initiated by late MP Dr Patrick Chikusu.

He said Mr Homes is a hardworking and well respected former diplomat who has shown exceptional leadership in all the senior positions he has held in public office.

“You know this man. He is a son of the soil. He has done many great things for Zambia. He worked as Presidential Minister at State House and also has a diplomat and he brought a lot of companies that contributed to foreign direct investment to Zambia, “Dr Mumba said.

[pullquote]Ba Sata is fighting Chitimukulu, he is fighting the Barotse Royal Establishment, he is fighting with the Church, NGOs, opposition leaders and ordinary citizens and his Cabinet members can’t advise him because they want to eat.[/pullquote]

He warned, “I’m warning you not to make a mistake of voting for the UPND. The UPND has never been tested before, this is the same mistake you made when you voted for the people and now look where we have found ourselves today. Vote for the MMD because we have a good track record of delivering development.”

Dr Mumba bemoaned the poor agriculture policies of the PF government which has resulted in late delivery of farming inputs.

He regretted that Katuba constituency which is predominantly an agriculture area may experience crop failure due to the late delivery fertiliser and seed.

And speaking after he was introduced to the electorate, Mr Homes who spoke in the local Lenje language appealed to the voters to cast their votes on the MMD to ensure development in Katuba.

He bemoaned the poor state of the road network in the constituency especially that Katuba is not very far away from Lusaka, the capital city.

The Katuba by election occasioned by the death of area MP Patrick Chikusu will be held on Tuesday, February 25 2014.

  1. People who live in glass houses shoudn’t throw stones! MMD were voted by all the points raised. In 2016 we shall give HH our votes. Out with the old and in with the new.

    • Munkombwe said politicians who were fond of regionalism would never form government in Zambia because they needed to have a national following.
“If they can speak about you in one-and-a-half-provinces, then I don’t know if you can afford to be in government. You can win the whole Southern Province and have a few seats dotted around the other provinces, but you are very far from being recognised as a national leader,” said Munkombwe. Who will ever vote for HH and his Monze tribal party? We will never vote for him, never!

    • Am with Nevers on this one. Disappointed that instead of being a source of wisdom, a very OLD MAN will be a POT of LIES.

Extremely disappointed to say the list.

    • HH and his provincial party cant govern the country until they reform and become national in character and genuinely (not for expediency) embrace people who come from other parts of the country

In their current state, coupled with lack of a development agenda, who would waste time voting for them?

One province cant never deliver the presidency to ant political party.

Reform or be in opposition for eternity….. Your choice

    • Dr Mumba is right. It’s better to vote for the tested Leadership who have also learnt a lesson than going for trial and error again.Once beaten twice shy.Sata’s campaign among other things was called man of action, and some one today is being called Economic Manager, managing what Mazoka created at a diminishing rate.

    • @Bo Sipopa

I totally disagree with you on the need to vote for recycled politicians. What achievements has Dr Mumba made both at personal and political level?. This is the man who was part of the regime that did not listen to the cries of many Zambians. So what do you think he will do differently this time around? He remained mute for sake of his belly when people expected him to be their voice.

Have not seen enough of the effects of recycling leaders under Sata and his PF regime? Sata fired Doctors when he was in MMD, has he changed now that he is the presidnet? Big no , he has again resorted to old ways of intimidation and treachery. He has fired over 1000 nurses this time around. Doesn’t Sata ‘s actions now remind you of old adage ;”old habits die hard”

      Zambia needs HH and…

    • Tested in what? In corruption just like PF? Is it not just an issue of missing the kind of life the thugs now are enjoying in Govt?

    • In UK and USA,voters there have decided to rotate government in the hands of Labour Party and Conservatives ( UK ),Democrats and Republicans ( USA ) this is despite the existence of many small parties in both countries.Zambia has now tested UNIP,MMD and PF.In my opinion, this country will lug behind if the experiments of trying new parties at every election will continue un abetted. It is therefore time that voters may now settle for what we already know.

    • hmmm, ba mumba, are you saying that if someone originates from england then they are smarter or better and therefore are expected to think faster or better than the zambian or in this case as you put it,chitulika village. Yashani iyi kanshi? what kind of self hatred is this? this is why i always emphasize, education, no matter how many PhDs you can have, without thorough knowledge of self only serves as a detriment to oneself and his society. Your statement ba mumba implies that we as zambians are not as good as the english (white person).

    • @george – did you know that there is no democracy in the countries you seem to emulate (UK and Britain)? there is only an illusion of democracy. The more the people think, the things are changing, the more they stay the same. Democrats and republicans always end up doing the same thing. nothing changes. Even Mr. Change you can believe in only realised later that he could not change things as he hoped(Guantanamo still open e.g),because he is only a facade of the true people ruling the country behind the veil. they are the ones who decide what happens in the country. And since they are always the same people, nothing changes. Democracy is an illusion in these countries, to keep the weak minds content that they are actually deciding for their future when in actual fact they are not!!!!

    • Wenzula,I know you don’t know Dr Mumba personally and you may not understand the postive spiritual impact Dr Mumba has brought in Zambia. For your own info.briefly,Dr Mumba started the Victory Ministries from the scratch. Most of the current Churches/Ministries are going thru what he had done.He did a Hummer-Mill Project in the Gwembe Valley/Sompani in the Southern Province under the Ministry Zambia Shall Be Savd, this improved school attendance of children. The so-called Govt.Forum Radio Programme is Dr Mumba’s brain child when he was VP.There’re so many behind the scene things he did which now Sata’s govt.is utilizing without being grateful.

    • @Bo Sipopa.

If you were born yesterday to see a saint in Dr Mumba then I forgive you. I know Dr Mumba even before he got his correspondence PDH in Bible studies(theology) when he had just started his victory ministries. This man decided to join politics when tithe dwindled in his church.

He got a lot of money from the poor worshippers who he gave a promise of a good life. The question he needs to answer is how much of that tithe money he collected went to good causes and helping the poverty stricken members of his congregation? If non of such was done with the tithe, then Dr Mumba is not a man to trust with instruments of power. I am saying this because I know for all intent and purpose the church is a charitable organisation.

My advice to you is shelf that praise for Dr Mumba…

    • Let’s talk economics now.MMD is one of a handful administrations, if not the only one on the continent to have handed over a surplus of foreign reserves to an incoming opposition.$3billion is serious money. Its been squandered by Chikwanda & Sata in unthought-through projects.we’re back on a spiral of unsustainable debt to feed their insatiable greediness for commissions in the name of development projects. For the first time in many years,Zambia has been downgraded by all credit agencies as risky destination for investment.Cracking down of media freedom,Political uncertainty and human rights violations are forces leading to where we are today.MMD lost 2011 elections only because PF lies sounded better than hard MMD facts. It wasn’t even a loss to write home about, it was very close.

    • @George

Your use of USA and UK as examples in you mediocre analysis is hugely misplaced.
True as it may be that it is the two parties in both the USA and UK that dominate politics in these countries, it is not recycled political leaders who are at the helm of power, but totally new leaders who have not held a cabinet political post in the past. This is the current trend in these countries to avoid the chances of elected leaders falling back on the old ways of doing things under the previous regime.

    • What we can’t afford is take another risk to elect HH and his UPND,they have no record to show.I will tell you why no one should even contemplate for the HH presidency. He has frightening similarities with Sata. His style of leadership is one of quick reaction on emotions with little thought. In the process he loses respect and engages in vicious language far below standard of a party leader, and so is Sata.He rarely smiles, which means he takes things personally and traps his anger inside. It reveals his intolerance, low confidence and instability around others,So is Sata. That’s why there are never-ending swearing-in of personnel.Tension already exists in the country, the incoming president should be a sober, thoughtful and uniting figure to restore sanity. It can only Nevers Mumba and MMD.

    • Like I have always stated on this forum, it’s nothing to do with tribe, but style and personality which must go hand in hand with his occasional substance. The fact is HH simply doesn’t have it.Deep down he knows it, his henchmen and hangers-on know it yet would rather push him on and see what happens, just in case.More attractive for this crew is his bottomless pockets, the Munkombwe culture we’ve come to know in our politicians.HH doesn’t need fundraising activities to run UPND, Privatisation commissions did it for him, so they love him. They forget that you can’t rule Zambia banking on Mazabuka, Choma and villages in between. It should be much more than that brother HH.voters let’s be realistic and not waste votes, give them Cecil Holmes.MMD is preparing for 2016 to finish off the…

    • Ba Wenzula as I said, you don’t know Dr Mumba, please don’t mislead pipo.I’ve known Dr Mumba close to 31 yrs now.Early ’80s,he was sponsored by Reinhard Bonnke at CFaN for 2yrs.He started EBOZ which later changed to Victory Ministries. He did crusades and a Zambia Shall Be Saved TV programme. He started the Victory Conferences at Mulungushi in 1993,where Bonnke attended. He was awarded a PHD in 1994 by Dr Fletcher of the University in USA.Please live Dr Mumba alone and run your own race if at all you have got one.

    • @WU

What economics are you trying to talk about here. HH is one of the few Zambian economist who has put into practice what he learned at school. If there is to be a competent president who understands how to manage the country ‘s economy its HH.

Upto now he is still offering competent advice to multinational.

  2. The photo is misleading, the caption says Nevers Mumba at ‘a’ campaign rally and not at ‘the’ rally in Katuba. Please be accurate

    • Ba Black Coffee, the Photo says ‘File Photo’.Don’t you know what this means?.It’s a ccampaign photo which was taken sometime back and not necessarily Katuba. What misleading is there?because 08:29:59 has acknowledged as a File Photo.

  3. ENGLAND IS BLAMING MULTICULTURALISM FOR CORRUPTION.
THE ZAMBIAN PASTOR IS BLAMING THE BLACK RACE FOR CORRUPTION.

    ANOTHER INFERIORITY COMPLEX PHENOMENA!

I WOULD RATHER VOTE FOR A FELLOW WITH WEIRD PIECES OF ADVICE SUCH AS, “We people from North Western Rhodesia should unite. If we give power to these Bemba’s, we’ll never get it back?”

    • Luapula Premier, you really suffer from an inferiority complex. No wonder you cling to bemba which is not your native language, and have characterized your Luapula languages as iron age languages, what shame, very uncivilized mindset.

    • Booted ka u da out.
Brought inflation from over 200% under km to bellow 8%.
Stabilised the kwacha not the fake re based one.
Built reserves to nearly U $ 3 bn.
Embarked on a planned developmental road map SHOP.
Planned roads, schools , clinics, sustained bumper harvests, timely delivery of farming inputs. The list is endless.
You cannot say the same for Chumbu govt. Which operates from behind a computer keyboard -Facebook. Chumbu rules like a chief or village headman.

  4. “It is shameful that even Dr Scott, a man whose origins are in England is today behaving as if he comes from Chitulika village.” And one day this ‘distinguished’ gentleman will go and campaign in Chitulika village looking for votes

    • You and Kolwe, above, are so right.

When are we going to love and respect ourselves? Pheee!

Always, always, mzungu ni mkubwa! What a people!

  5. Upto now I feel da frustration I went thru under useless RB u f.o.o.l.s shud stop cheating yoself u’l neva bounce back 2 power. How do u condem leaders finishing da money coz they are contructin roads u f.o.o.ls were building hotels 4 yo wives in Malawi kantangala iwe

    • What frustrated you during LM/RB rule? Where you frustrated that inflation was dropped to single digit at 6%? or that we had bumper harvets for three consecutive years with increase number of farmers being on FISP,or that even with subsidies on maize and fuel , roads, schools, hospitals, football stadiums were being constructed ? Is it the Kwacha which was stablised with increased reserves? Is it the creation of a middle class income group which now is being destroyed? Is it the tolerance and understanding of one who was day in day out insulting his opponents and calling the cabbage, sick, red lip, trousers failing to fit? What is it man that frustrated you? Or may me you were one of those that bought the song and lied to by the Post for their selfishness. Is it LM/RB were more national?

  6. Imwe ba Pastor, aren’t you somehow from a village too? This is what Mwinelubemba essentially itemised in his last blog – KNOW WHO YOU ARE else u end up making a fool of yourself…is being a villager equal to being Muzungu Opusa sana? By God there is sooo much gibberish in the farts of most of these politicians – ONLY YOUNG ZAMBIANS shall change the downhill marathon Zambia has inadvertedly pig-backed….just try UPND bane!

  7. And you Nevers, are the most irresponsible, deceitful, hypocritical, power-hungry, money-loving, stuppid pulpit-monkey the nation and the world have ever seen. You are so focused on the seat of power that you have thrown all sense and sensibility out the window. You are a great fo0l and you have no respect for Mr. Sata who is a father of the nation. You are failing to honor your father and mother which is a teaching from the very books that you claim are your moral guides. If you cannot respect your elders Nevers then neither can we. So f! you with a capital F.

  8. ka Nevers the PF is here to stay till 2031. MMD is a gonner. and what about the day there will be a bye election in Chitulika you are going to ask for votes from there? think before you talk ka pastor.
Your advise to the Katuba villagers on UPND is the only plausible thing you have said here. UPND is the party where the famous quote by its leader
“We people from North Western Rhodesia should unite. If we give power to these Bemba’s, we’ll never get it back?”
is evidence of a tribal cattle clown who should be forever rejected in all forms of elections.
thanks Luapula Premier for reminding us

    • @Kudos it’s vital we are honesty and objective in our blogs unlike talking from without, are you PF is not a northern party?

    • Can you prove this quote? I never heard anyone say this. In any case who said bembas are the ordained rulers of Zambia. You base your debates on rumours and expect support? Go on dreaming as the author of any leadership is God. He raises even those that no considers to leadership. If HH’s destiny is state house, no amount of Bemba tribalism will prevent it. Thanks

    • Kudos,
You will surely FAIL to take Zambia backward with your PF maniacy. There is no chosen region to rule Zambia. We have tried your chosen regions and we are in this mess. Forget about your dreams. Next time we will not read your comments because they are useless.

    • A normal person can never vote for (HH). So if you support or vote for ka (HH) you and the Tonga bigot both smoke dried cow dang.

    • “Ba Sata is fighting Chitimukulu, he is fighting the Barotse Royal Establishment, he is fighting with the Church, NGOs, opposition leaders and ordinary citizens and his Cabinet members can’t advise him because they want to eat”.

    • I never knew and imagined that, in Zambia today in the 21st Centutry we can have this character Chatsha with such a ‘sewer mouth’.God deliver this fellow from these sewer demons before innocent souls are infested.

    • MMD was voted out because Zambian are easy to dupe.PF took advantage of this and Zambians fell for it and they got into government with all the consequences Zambians are experiencing. Now another dupe is coming on the scene claiming redemption after the exit of PF in 2016 and some gullible Zambians have already fallen for the hook. Watch out!!!!!!

  9. Politicians are like diapers they should frequently be changed.

Problem pa zed we rely on the same old diapers over and over.

  10. Nevers Mumba and MMD should be reminded that the bad state of roads in Katuba are a creation of negligence by his party. 20 good years was long enough to have seen Katuba in a better shape.

    • @PIO, I can see that you are too too young and still smelling milk. Do you know what the state of roads in this country at the time MMD took over in 1991?

      Kafyone amamina. Shaa!!!!

  11. To begin with, Scott does not hail from England, he hails from Scotland. Number 2, MMD was also dead rotten with corruption, that is why they were booted out of power. As for Mumba himself, he looted mission coffers in Ottawa and this is the i.d.i.o.t who would get his drive to drive two days from Ottawa to Vancouver to receive him there. He was the shortest lived and most useless vice president whose wild, unfounded, erratic and psychiatric outbursts almost caused war with Congo DRC. He should just shut up, we do not need another Bemba political sangoma from Chinsali in office.

  12. Sata has modeled his leadership on Kaunda and Mugabe style, where one man rules the country single-handedly. Advice from others is construed as an insult to the president’s intelligence. As far as Sata is concerned he knows everything, therefore all his ministers must toy his line or else.. That’s why intelligence and professionalism are not prerequisites when hunting, or being headed-hunted for a job in Sata’s or Kk’s government. All the qualifications you will ever need to get a job are to have a shameless character, a readiness and willingness to be humiliated and above all, to sing Sata’s praises at all times and venues.

  13. The writing is on the wall, this time UPND is appealing to many Zambians but as usual the Bemba mafias are resenting the change. God has healed the land of Zambia and will provide leadership through UPND. UPND will provide high level of leadership that has never been given b4 in Zambia and it will be difficult for the illiterates to govern Zambia again.

    • Malasa,
You speak well. Tell all other people loudly. Elaborate you point and guide people to
Vote PF-OUT asap, time is gone.

    • Malasa. The problem is that since the late Mazoka HH/UPND have failed to groom their own cadres, they’re just in the habit of poaching weak souls. They ‘ve only managed to groom the MPs in Southern Province.Outside S/P,they’ve failed, hence now just resorting to canibalizing from MMD,which has a National Character and appeal.PF is a Tribal Party and UPND will just continue to be tribal. From ‘Bemba’ to ‘Tonga’.PF should be the last mistake the Zambians made.

  14. MMD overstayed in power, as a result development slowed down. Biblically, Lottie was told not to look back.. UPND is our only hope

  15. i just look at all these isues only God knows who will win in katuba i wish poor farmer short period of time to govern this country i wish 2016 is today so that they can pack there bags those useless mps with entire paya farmer

  16. Unfortunately voters got duped and voted into office some mafia types with revenge in mind and only interested in the trappings of power even though they had nothing to offer to zambians.

  17. For sure PF has failed pipo are being killed and they’s no order in the country it’s like everyone in PF is fighting for something on this one you are very right brilliant Nevers Mumba.

  18. @Wanzelu @Ulimbi @Malasa etc

YOU SEEM TO HAVE ISSUES WITH NEARLY ALL POLITICIANS WHO ARE NOT FROM YOUR TRIBE.

WHO THEN DO YOU WANT TO BE OUR NATIONAL LEADER BECAUSE THE OTHER YOUNG LEADER PUBLICLY & UNASHAMEDLY PREACHES TRIBAL POLITICS, SUCH AS, “If we give power to these Bembas, we’ll never get it back?”,

AN UNFORTUNATE QUOTE OR ALLEGATION WHICH HE HAS NEVER DENIED AT HIS NUMEROUS PRESS CONFERENCES!

DID CHILUBA PASS ON THE LEADERSHIP MANTLE TO HIS TRIBESMAN, LEVY?
DO YOU REALLY EXPECT A NORMAL THINKING BEMBA SPEAKING PERSON TO CAST A VOTE FOR THIS LOOSE CANON?

    • People should look beyond this cattle clown’s wealth, youth and state of health. The chap is a useless tribal element who can cause chaos in our peaceful nation. We are better with our current crop of leaders who can actually target the whole country for development. (HH) Humsula Huwangombe can divide the nation if given the chance. He can even force free masonry upon us. one look at his red eyes tells it all. powerful potent southern smoke.
“If we give power to the southerners we’ll never get it back for sure?”

    • KUDOS NO MATTER HOW YU TALK ILL OF HH .PIPO ARE ALREADY RESOLVED TO VOTE FOR HIM.THIS TONGA THING IS OUTDATED.WE THE MIXED BREED LIKE OBAMA ARE MANY IN ZAMBIA.REGIONS DO NOT MATTER NOW IN ZAMBIA.WAKE UP AND ACCEPT THAT HH IS THE PRESIDENT OF ZAMBIA.

    • @Luapula

As usual such tribal comments are highly expected of you when you lose the argument. Typical PF behaviour.

In my bog on this topic, there is clearly no where I have mentioned tribe. In my first comment I said Zambia needs to consider either Chipimo or HH this time around to avoid recycled failed politicians.

Now that you have poked my intution, let me tell that I personally do not trust the OLD CROP of Bemba Political leaders any more. Lets try the young who are switched on and well interacted with other tribes across Zambia. I dont care which tribe the young politicians will come from as long as they can articulate real issues affecting people up down the country.

This time around we need consider new political players in the arena. Those who have not been part of…

  19. KENNETH KAUNDA SLOGAN, ONE ZAMBIA, ONE NATION
A Nation where Varied ethnic groups of Zambia come together to form one nation.

TRIBAL LEADERS’ SLOGAN, ONE TRIBE, ONE NATION
A Nation where “People from North Western Rhodesia are urged to unite against Bembas. If we give power to Bembas, we’ll never get it back?”

    • Zambia is a State and NOT a Nation. That slogan of “One Zambia One Nation” is bogus because KK had and agenda of vanishing Barotseland.
Its One Zambia (Northern Rhodesia) a State and One Nation Barotseland this is in accordance to The Barotseland Agreement 1964.
No wonder the majority of NR’s don’t know who wrote the Zambian Anthem. Its a pity. Even that “Christian nation” tag is there to blind people of Zambia from revealing the corruption in the country. A Christian nation full of thieves period. Corruption is now a Zambian culture embedded in peoples blood.
At universities, schools, govt offices’ and public places in Zambia, it STINKS of corruption. Only in Zambia, Christianity and corruption are BEST FRIENDS.

    • It’s only MMD which has no owner.Anybody of any tribe can be President. In UPND if you’re not Tonga you can’t.Sejani said it already that UPND will never be led by a non Tonga. So no more tribal Parties.PF is the last mistake we made.HH is really fighting an up-hill battle.

  20. “It is shameful that even Dr Scott, a man whose origins are in England is today behaving as if he comes from Chitulika village.” Dr Mumba said. Kekeke!
“Ba Sata is fighting Chitimukulu, he is fighting the Barotse Royal Establishment, he is fighting with the Church, NGOs, opposition leaders and ordinary citizens and his Cabinet members can’t advise him because they want to eat” expressed Dr Mumba.
GBM, Kabimba and Masebo seems to stage managed so as to divert people’s attention away from the constitution as well as PF’s pathetic failures.
Wake up people and opposition have the numbers to impeach these unreasonable and most useless MPs of PF. 2016 might be rigged and POA at their helm, they will be no more rule of law.
    When are people waking up?

  21. @1.8 George is spot on.

Good governance and Development in the nation will never ever come on account of a new party comprising of original corrupt people as is the case of PF government. A party with democratic principles of good governance, rule of law, transparency and accountability as crafted by a group of concerned Zambians in the 1990s that culminated into the birth of MMD as a nationally accepted party laid a foundation of multiparty in Zambia. These ideals never left its effectiveness as sound political party with a solid foundation. The original people left the party and in fact these are the people who soiled the party and today are in PF government where corruption has continued. People like Sata and Dr Guy Scott both had issues of corruption while in MMD.

  22. The man that sold the church, cheated God and his fellow opposition parties and then stubbed Mwanawasa on the back! He has the audacity to speak like that? Shame on NEVERS MUMBA, He is too much of a selfish, greed and untrustworthy individual. Listen to him at your own peril. How many times has he formed an party, sold it for a stronger one, booted out make another one and all that? Voting for him will be one BIG mistake this country will ever make

  23. The current MMD leadership is free from corruption and a few who have remained are facing court cases and will naturally fall off from grace and never vie for a position in MMD. So the old parties are undergoing a renewal process of self cleansing while new parties are embracing those discarded by renewed parties.
The leadership in every party need to change while the ideals remain. This has become true with MMD which is what happens in mature democracies in UK. Main parties in UK are Labour, Conservative and Liberal democracy. Leadership changes now and then whiles ideals of each party remain. Dr.Guy Scott knows this too well but fails to replicate this or at least just influence Zambian politics torwards this concept but only cares of his stomach as if also from chatulika village.

  24. @ Luapula Premier u will not annul wht GOD PUTS TOGETHER. YOU WiL JUST WITH YOUR IDIOCY.

This time we just need the EDUCATED like LEVY P MWANAWASA to lead Zambia, we dont want old Generation now. Nevers YOU are in the WRONG PARTY and the only BEST OPTION is Chipimo and HH and HH seems to b POPULAR.

WE need educated and young people arounf now.
    Viva HH Viva UPND.

    • Abena G yashani iyo? namusontakale but using Chipimo as a decoy.. HH hakaiteka Heka. until he revises his coments namely ‘“We people from North Western Rhodesia should unite. If we give power to these Bemba’s, we’ll never get it back”

  25. mr mumba, are you insinuating that there is something wrong with people from Chitulike village or that there is abject poverty in Chitulika village? On the contrary, the people that you should compare to are the ones in towns and cities, like you, who are struggling to survive.

    • Interesting interpretation, try this one. The current so called parliamentary democratic system was established in the U.K, and Guy Scott who originally hails from Scotland should have a more grounded understanding and as such encourage his friend MCS to do better. The accusation that he acts as though he is from Chitulika village suggests that, Chitulika village or any other Zambian village for that matter did not coin the “democratic model” we are attaining to grasp. Most people in the village do not have a firm understanding of how our government operates, and in most cases they have never needed too, . So the insinuation then is not an insult to the people of Chitulika, but a call for Scott to be more sincere about his background and the role his ancestry played in championing…

  26. It is time Zambians embrace ideals that will stand the test of time as a conviction to which they are persuaded to honour and cherish. This will help shape our society as principled people who believe in what they hold on as truth. If good governance, rule of law, transparency and accountability are truths of democracy, these additives of governance will never change in meaning with new parties. If they have been found failing with a group of people, all it needs is to change the people (players) because the ideals remain true. This is what has advanced mature democracies of Europe and America. We need to change our mind-set over party politics.

    • @Ozzy i absolutely agree with you. but as we debate this issue of party leadership AND governace. how many of elected MPs are actually disccusing ideals or policy, ideologies or principles in regards to one political affiliation- i may give an answer hardly any.

  27. No one can cheat God or sell the church. Read your bible again.
Nevers Mumba is certainly better than some politicians who lie everyday and about everything!!!

  28. • Bill Gates organized an enormous session to recruit a new Chairman for Microsoft Europe. 5000 candidates assembled in a large room. One candidate was Mulenga Musonda, a Zambian living in USA.
    • Bill Gates thanked all the candidates for coming and asking those who do not know JAVA programming to leave. 2000 people left the room. Mulenga said to himself, ‘I do not know JAVA but I have nothing to lose if I stay. I’ll give it a try.
    • Bill Gates asked the candidates who never had experience of managing, more than 100 people to leave. 2000 people left the room… Mulenga said to himself ‘ I never managed anybody by myself but I have nothing to lose if I stay. What can happen to me?’ So he stays.
    • Then Bill Gates asked candidates who do not have management diplomas to leave. 500…

  29. 500 people left the room. Mulenga says to himself, ‘I left school at 15 but what have I got to lose?’ So he stays in the room.
    • Lastly, Bill Gates asked the candidates who do not speak Serbo-Croat to leave. 498 people left the room. Mulenga says to himself, ‘ I do not speak one word of Serbo-Croat but what do I have to lose?’ So he stays and finds himself with one other candidate. Everyone else has gone.

    • Bill Gates joined them and said ‘Apparently you are the only two candidates who have all the required qualifications & experience I am looking for and speak Serbo -Croat, so I’d now like to hear you have a conversation together in that language.’
    • and…… Calmly, Mulenga turns to the other candidate and says `Mulishani Mukwai! The other candidate answers ‘ Yangu…

Eeehh mukwai, ndiwaku Chitulika Village, ngaimwe?…….

  31. IT WILL BE VERY VERY DIFFICULT FOR HH TO WIN GENERAL ELECTIONS IN 2016. PLEASE PLEASE LET THEM SELL THE PARTY TO NORTHERN, LUAPULA, MUCHINGA AND COPPER-BELT PROVINCES.AS AT NOW HERE IN NORTHERN PROVINCE WHEN PEOPLE HEAR THE NAME ATI HAKAINDE HICHILEMA THEY THINK THAT HE IS A LAME PERSON BECAUSE THEY DONT KNOW HIM. HH PLEASE PLEASE DONT CONCENTRATE IN SOUTHERN PROVINCE THAT IS YOUR HEADQUARTERS.IF YOU WANT TO BE PRESIDENT YOU AND YOUR PARTY SHOULD AT-LEAST WIN IN 7 OUT OF 10 PROVINCES CHAPWA AND IF YOU DONT DO THAT THEN IT WILL BE HH 2031 HH 2031. FOR YOU NEVERS YOUR TIME HAS PASSED KALE YOU ARE JUST MAKING NOISE NO ONE IS GOING TO VOTE FOR YOU AS PRESIDENT. YOU HAVE A CRIMINAL MIND LIKE CHILUBA THE LATE.

    • Your advice to HH is sound, but unfortunately he does not seem to grasp this simple strategy. People want change and in a hurry to crush the serpent. He could be president if he invested his time selling himself in the areas you mentioned. But no! He campaigns heavily and repeatedly in southern province and a little in lusaka and north west, the rest ati fikaisova kuntanshi. Now this is lunatic thinking. Mr HH, free priceless advice is dished out to you daily on how you can consign the repulsive PF party to the rubbish bin where they belong, you choose to ignore this and instead pursue a vigorous campaign strategy that guarantees you remain an opposition leader indefinitely. Focus on luapula, northern, cb, central and east and shock yourself with the results. Why is this so hard to do!?

  32. A party that has never been in power will be more refreshing in 2016. I enjoy watching youtube clips on Obama. He is so user-friendly. He dines, mingles, chats, plays games and takes ordinary Americans on guided tours of the white house. None of our leaders, past and present, have ever been free with ordinary people. They are always surrounded by paramilitary armed to the teeth. You dare not go near them but the same people will kneel down to beg you to go the ballot box and cast a vote for them. UUuumh. HH and tongas are Zambians. Unless we feel they are not part of Zambia no one has the right to decampaign HH and tongas the way people like Kudos does. Mr Sata originated from Chitulika village but other provinces supported him. There are also other parties apart from PF, MMD and UPND.

    • If you allow (HH) to mislead you this nation will surely fall. I hope that you are the only misguided follower of (HH) in Zambia

  33. @Kampukesa and Gen, you are both useless fools. The article is talking about the most irresponsible ministers Zambia has ever had and not H H. Mukanyela.

  34. UUuuhh, seriously I hope Kudos comments are not shared by anyone. If they are, then I fear for Zambia. Psam 91 on HH.

    • Rest assured my Bro, they are not.

Sensible bloggers have tried as much as possible to ignore Kudos, Anyoko and Luapula Premier.

  35. According to this survey by transparency international.
70% of respondents in Zambia felt that political parties were corrupt/extremely corrupt.
49%of respondents in Zambia felt that parliament / legislature was corrupt/extremely corrupt .
65%public officials and civil servants were corrupt/extremely.
The late President Mwanasa under MMD is credited with having put the fight against corruption high on Zambia’s political agenda, with initiatives like the constitution of a Task Force on Economic Plunder, the design of a corruption prevention strategy and the reinforcement of institutions such as the AG & ACC. the then MMD leadership tried to do something about this cancer of corruption but with small success. PF leadership does not have firm agenda on this issue of corruption.

  36. Ba Mumba next time you are in chitulika village you might find it hard to campaign. Why are you insulting us simply because we share the same village na president sata.

Come 2016, HH has my vote tribalism aside.

  37. I wait for 2016 when people shall commit suicide. The self proclaimed presidents of Zambia will be proved as such….Zambians shall decide who their leader will be. So no insults , but let us register and vote. Woe to the diaspora- people for they will not vote but keep on quarreling on the web. Alas to them for their preferred person will lose.

Peace and Prosperity to Mother Zambia.

  38. Interesting.

The day we starting voting and know it in our minds that the politicians we are voting for are going work in the future will be the interesting day.

Most of the politicians we have might have done well in the past but does it imply that they will change the future. It may be that time has past them and their capabilities are no long appropriate for current or future times.

We already have an example for that in the most high most.

It may also be true that a party that may be called regional today may be the most appropriate for the future.

In life we always import knowledge from other regions.

  39. You seem to have forgotten that you said the same things about UPND and HH just before the General Election.
You only blog but have only 500000 members.how do you increase your voters to 1,500,000 to un seat oldman Sata when he is now in Power.
    Lost the race already?

  40. Nibu CHUMBU MUNSHOLOLWA. What advice can chumbu take from who? Bonse alibasuula suuu!
Kuti abatukaula ishine ishine. Mwandini akulyeni fye.N

  41. Has Nevers Mumba got any brains at all or just lost his brain? Was it a mistake for the Americans to vote for “not previously tested” Barack Obama? Italy is, as from last week, under the reigns of “not previously tested”, 39 year old Renzi. Does Mumba want to tell us that this too is a blunder? Mumba must be drunk with kachasu or else he smokes marijuana.

And should “previously tested” be the criterion, how much of that does him, Mumba claim to have? Did we not see him fail and abandon the pulpit? Did we not see him fail and abandon his own political party? Did we not witness his failed and stinking record in Foreign Service? Which Zambian will have the courage to vote for a character like that? Aren’t Zambians tired of directionless recycled leadershi

    • Man Obama cannot be compared with your HH under 5. He was tested as a Senator. First time he lost, then second he made it. People saw potential for presidential position. We do not see anything of this sort in your HH.
