Former Solwezi MP Lucky Mulusa has apologised to MMD President Nevers Mumba for being part of a campaign that attempted to oust him from the helm of the former ruling party.

Sources at the MMD Secretariat revealed that Mr Mulusa requested to meet Dr Mumba’s lawyers at Makebi Zulu & Associates to render his apologies.

The source said Mr Mulusa is deeply sorry for joining the group fighting Dr Mumba.

“He is very apologetic after he reflected about his recent actions. He is likely to hold a news conference this weekend to announce his full apology and chart his next political course. He has realised that he was wrongly advised to pursue the route of fighting Dr Mumba’s leadership,” the source said.

The former Solwezi MP was a key architect of the recent MMD power struggles when he teamed up with Vice Presidents Brian Chituwo, Michael Kaingu and Dora Siliya to launch a campaign to remove Dr Mumba from the party presidency.

And Mr Mulusa took to Facebook to post what appeared like his first attempt towards apologising to Dr Mumba, the MMD and the nation for engaging himself in the recent fights against Dr Mumba.
Below is Mr Mulusa’s Facebook posting.

Dear all,
The past one week has been extremely trying for my family, friends and all those who came to appreciate the role I was playing in the Zambian politics. To all supporters or none supporters to whom discomfort has been occasioned, I wish to offer my sincere apologies. In particular your guidance has been highly appreciated and will be followed in my future political and personal decisions. As for the MMD issue the members’ decision will be respected.

  1. What is the motive?

There is always motives in these media apologies.

cant sincere surely? Why not ring the man instead of rushing to the media if you mean it?

    And who is he anyway?

    Thanks

    • MYBROTHER MULUSA,YOU HAVE DONE A WISE THING.YOU ATTARCKED THE SERVANT OF THE MOST HIGH GOD PUBLICLY AND PUBLICLY YOU HAVE APPOLOGISED.YOU WILL SEE HOW GREAT NEVERS IS FOR HE WILL FORGIVE YOU…

    • It's a worry(M'membe and the Post should be discredited for lying to the nation about RB) It's a worry(M'membe and the Post should be discredited for lying to the nation about RB) 🇬🇧

Mulusa has done the only think he can possibly do in view of the public (online) response to this evil scheme. Mulusa has shown a lot of promise as a principled young politician with a solid future on the national political scene. However this episode has exposed the usual greed that grips every Zambian politician. He like many others are too hungry for plot one and would ditch morality to edge closer. I would like to think that Mulusa was not part of the now “MMD cartel” that meets with M’membe and Kabimba was only drawn into the plot with the promise of being MMD President. He has done well to come out and publicly apologise and if I was Mumba I would wholeheartedly accept his apology and make (or urge) him towards the vice presidency (Politics) after kicking out Kaingu and Co.

    • That what noble people do, is to apologize.
I always tell Sata to apologize for insulting Zambians thathe are useless

    • Joining forces with people who have no credibility like Dora was a losing proposition and the beginning of the end of your political career. With all miscalculations, Muhabi Lungu continues to impress me for his principled stance.

If the stories being circulated by ZWD are true, jumping ship because of Kabimba and M’membe will really show your luck political judgement. We hope with this blunder corrected, you will stay out of the news for sometime because another miss-up will just sink you forever.

    • Baby Mushota, I don’t understand why Z..WD strips some politicians naked. Maybe politicians must not be into too much alcohol and women, do you think?

    • MUSHOTA WHERE DO YOU RESIDE REALLY? YOUR ENGLISH IS PATHETIC. YOUR THINKING SHALLOW! YOUR REASONING UNREASONABLE!

“THERE IS ALWAYS MOTIVES” (THERE ARE ALWAYS MOTIVES. THERE IS ALWAYS A MOTIVE).

CAN’T SINCERELY SURE? (WHAT THE HECK IS THAT SUPPOSED TO BE)

Why not ring (PHONE) the man instead of rushing to the media if you mean it (IF YOU MEAN WELL)?

I TOLD YOU LAST TIME AND WAS BLOCKED FOR SAYING IT. SOME PEOPLE ARE MEANT TO BE CRITICS WHILE OTHERS ARE MEANT TO OPEN LEGS!! I SUGGEST YOU ARE THE LATTER!!

      CIAO

    • Mushota, why can’t you just write in Bisa or Bemba? What are you trying to say my sister?

Your pitiable English and inharmonious way of thinking makes me wonder if you have an undergraduate degree.

Undergraduates from authentic universities write better English and reason better than you.

And you claim to be a PhD candidate, my foot, while writing and reasoning like a struggling diploma student?

Do you smoke weed mama iwe? Ulapapusha efyo you express ubupuba bobe in your postings.

You really take the wind out of your sails!

    • Mulusa is right, b’coz if u travel from Lusaka to Livingstone its better to get on a bicycle with punctured tires but heading towards Livingstone than board a TAZARA train ( Kaingu/Chituwo & Co.) in Kapiri Mposhi that is heading towards Dar es Salaam. Its a question of choosing a lesser evil between 2 devils.

    • PhD at its best lol. Just go and sleep iwe. Read what some bloggers have written about your pathetic reasoning and English. F00lish, uletusebanya iwe.

  2. Mulusa always changes colors like a chameleon. This guy is too unpredictable, unreliable and whimsical.Smh

  3. Hahahahaha!!! Lucky Mulusa has felt the heat of the Invisible Zambia watchdog. While!! Next time think before you act bwana. Muhabi Lungu and Lucky Mulusa are the only intellectuals in a sinking ship. Let them Just join UPND were there fellow intellectuals are.

  4. Thank you Mulusa people were very upset with being on the same side with Dora, next say sorry to the watchdog they are your friends.

  5. There is always a chance to redeem yourself if you are genuinely humble and repentant.
Step#1. Phone Dr Nevers Mumba and genuinely apology and repent, it’s called restitution. Important for future considerations. Life is a circle, you will need him tomorrow don’t be too proud to say sorry.
Step#2. Go ahead with the press briefing and redeem yourself from the negative perception because of your association with Dora, Kaingu and Chituwo. Admitt being misled and let the corrupt remain alone. You are too flesh to be dented so quick
Step#3. From now be patient Mulusa let life evolve to build you up, mature you and your maturity with invite your season for promotion to higher heights. Now it’s clearly Nevers’s time and there is nothing you do to reverse it. Accept and be blessed with it.

  6. ….I smell a rat here. From where I stand, I see a reliable source having revealed to Mulusa the truth about the agenda of Chituwo/Kaingu ‘secret’ meeting with the usual suspects….He must be in possession of a first hand info and picture of what is really going on…
I found it difficult to imagine Mulusa integrating with the usual suspects…..considering how critical he has been about the usual suspects. Will wait and see….

  7. Ok good first step.but this will take a while to shake off.Not so long ago, your name would be said in the same breathe as Muhabi Lungu, Nevers Mumba as people to drive MMD to the the next level and not as adversaries.Lately you lost that sparkle and put out some of your political lifeline.Fighting an individual like Nevers Mumba who doesn’t call anyone names as most politicians do is truly beyond most of us.Dr Mumba appeared in court for standing up to Sata over nullifications of Mwale,Dora and your Solwezi seat. but this will take a while to shake off.NotPolitically the man you’ve fought against doesn’t have a bad bone in him and it’s there for all to see.He may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but hey he’s still PF’s biggest headache given, he’s the cleanest high profile…

  8. I enjoyed Mulusa’s articles and his perceived steady political disposition. Not anymore if I am being honest,I can’t be bothered to read his writings anymore. Why? He’s a traitor. I don’t see a way back for Dora Siliya. I think she over rates herself. Both Kaingu and chituwo must step down or Nevers Mumba should fire them. MMD is undergoing self cleansing, and the remainder of party members should be the loyal ones to unite as party Candidates and members to put up a fight for 2016 elections.

  9. Quite frankly I find malice in this article! I apologised to my family and everyone to whom discomfort was occasioned and took time to offer advice. I went to Makebi Zulu to discuss the Wynter Kabimba tribunal for which we as petitioners have not received copies of the report yet. I left the Mumba issue to the general membership and my posting is very clear!

  10. Mulusa you have done yourself a favor. You must be sorry for yourself. Go ahead and apologise properly and be good to the leardship.

  11. Mulusa just discovered all their back door dealing exposed, thank God for
Zwd, careful next time you know you can’t sell yourself without people knowing
about it, just merely meeting kabimba and membe is bad enough, you are better
off with nevers , right now people don’t like membe and kabimba

  12. Thumbs up Mr. Mulusa. That is the only way to go. I personally posted on your Facebook page to register my disappointment and withdraw the respect I had for you. The curtail trying to hound Nerves Mumba has been heavily funded by PF to destroy MMD. MMD is currently under going self cleansing. The bad elements are now exposed. MMD need people with fresh ideas and I really counted on you Mr Mulusa as architect of change management. Thank you so much for making this bold decision. God bless you in your political career.

  13. Mulusa ,DORA siliya and Andrew bamba also hav a hand in sposoring women to remove mangani as PF chairperson for eastern shame on you

  14. Bottom line is that people hate any schemes to do with Kabimba/Membe. Even if your call 4 Nevers’ leadership style was genuine, it died spontaneously the day this cartel was involved/mentioned. Nevers has come out with more credibility, thanks to Kabimba/Membe (fake political engineers). Isn’t it ironic also that the evolving heroes of MMD include Bowman Lusambo & Muhabi Lungu. Timing of actions & reading the political mood is critical in politics.

  15. As 4 Nevers, relook @ your leadership style. You have survived your (delayed) probation appraisal, but you need to set your performance objectives understaing what people’s concerns are. Do some genuine work with HH because his priorities for Zambia look promising. As for Dora, Chituwo, Kaingu et al, if they unrepetant, do some divide & rule (pick those more influencial on the ground with less bargage).

  16. Good that you listened to voice of many people that admire you. We all make mistakes, and its good that you realized very early that you were going in not only a wrong way but a very dangerous one. Good luck bro!!!

  17. NOW distance yourself from the evils (kabimba /membe) and lets fight the useless PF together. Sata will be out of state house soon and so dont be misled by anyone that he will be there fore ever. Also stop attacking the media as you pursue your politics. ZWD makama have serious data about us all. Thank you and we accept that appology.

  18. I hope this apology is genuine and not just due to a backlash from people over Mr Mulusa’s conduct. Like many I have been disappointed by Lucky’s behaviour. For me he looks like his true colours were exposed by events of the last few days. I think he has been a f@ke like how Fred Mmembe f00led everyone all these years that he was a principled man.

I mean if indeed he was misled why did he rush to conclusions c0ndemning Nevers Mumba instead of taking his time to understand what really transpired. I think he really sold out his soul with a promise to be allowed to recontest his former Solwezi seat. I think I will never view him in the same way I did before this s@ga.

  19. Mulusa made a very serious blunder in thinking that he had already reached the political stratosphere. My brother, you are still learning, take your time. Align yourself with people who have been in this game for a while and not the likes of Dora. This lady acts on impulse, she will lead you to a precipice from which there will be no return. However, all is not lost. Stay away from ‘trouble’ in the meantime and say sorry to your president. Do not cross the watchdog again.

  20. Good to know that you are back to normal. What is doubtful for sure is your political career. The other thing you did wrong was to fight that ZWD, those people can inflict misery my friend, hopefully your family is still intact. Good luck with your future undertakings.

  21. Mulusa you have always been my hero but from the time you heartlessly ganged up with membe, dull kabimba, chituwo and Dora to hound Nevers Mumba, out of power, you became my worst enemy. You have just done what noble men are capable of doing and i too accept your apology. To hell with Kabimba and Meembe.

  22. That is the way to go Mulusa, what must be clear, is that this country is not for CROOKS!

  23. People you are putting words in Mulusa’s mouth. The man clearly said, as for the MMD issue let the general membership decide. Where is the apology to Nevers Mumba there? Chizungu guys chapita apa.

  24. My advice to Nevers is that, never trust someone who has been meeting Fred Mmembe’s cartel. Shaka Zulu said never leave your enemies behind. The bible says forgive 70×70 times. The decision is yours.

  25. Mulusa hope you have realise the mistake of ganging up with Dora. Her corruption and arrogance made MMD lose terribly. Keep away from thieves and spineless people. After RB lost elections they went into hiding and now they think it is ease. How many times has NM been in and out of police cells for even meeting chiefs or meeting provincial and district MMD officials.

  26. Pipo MMD is coming back to power with support of the cartel. Watch.dog is acting funny. It is running with the hare and hunting with hounds. It is on the payrolls of Mahtani who is playing games with Sata, Nevers and HH. Beware pipos. Decide carefully who do you vote for Presidential Elections to be held by first half of 2015. Cartel has done its homework and is upset with the rise of Sata’s son Mr. Mulenga Sata. Mahtani gave K200,000 to Kabimba on tuesday last week for the exercise.
