WEEKEND SCORECARD: Chabinga- Pressure is a Mighty tradition

Share

Coach Manfred Chabinga says expectations have always been high at Mighty Mufulira Wanderers.

The nine-time champions and most decorated cup side are currently enjoying their best form in nine years in the 18-team FAZ Division One north.

On Sunday, Mighty beat Zesco Luapula 2-0 at home to open a one-point lead at the summit of the table after 14 games played ahead of second placed Kalulushi Modern Stars.

“The pressure has always been there at Mighty. When we were not doing well the pressure was there; we are doing well the pressure is still there,” Chabinga said.

Meanwhile, Mighty travel to 14th placed FQM Mining Operations FC and victory away in Solwezi will see them stay top with two more games before the midway point.

Mighty have languished in Division One since 2005 when they made a brief return that season following their debut demotion in 2002.
