MMD President Dr Nevers Mumba says former PF Secretary General Wynter Kabimba should take the blame for the costly and unprecedented by election the country is undertaking.
Dr Mumba accused Mr Kabimba of scheming to deplete the opposition seats in Parliament.
He said he was happy that Mr Kabimba had been dismissed saying this has put a stop to his ill intentions.
He was speaking in Mkushi South constituency where he addressed a meeting to drum up support for MMD candidate Sydney Chisanga in Thursday’s by election.
“Mr Kabimba wanted to kill the opposition in Parliament, I am grateful that his ill intentions have been killed since he was sacked by President Sata,” Dr Mumba said.
Dr Mumba said the MMD has fought hard to preserve the country’s democracy which he said was under threat with Mr Kabimba at the helm of the PF.
Zambia has held over 20 by elections since 2011, majority of them occasioned by court nullifications of election results.
No they were caused by rampant corruption in the MMD during the 2011 poll. Please give Wynter a break. He’s going through enough at the moment.
It is not Kabimba who nullified your corruptly acquired seats.
When USA president Obama took office in 2009,he wanted to prosecute the Republicans who stole alot of money meant for rebuilding Iraqi but it would be costly and eventually president bush will be held responsible,this would have set a bad precedent for future administration.there is no benefit to the Zambian citizens on these by elections either socially or economic benefit.it has been a drain on the treasury.pf will not make the majority in parliament.the new constitution will address such power hungry ruling political parties.
If that is true, then good riddance. However, what the once omnipotent SG did campaign for was a one party state; and that party would have been PF with
the WK its hallowed leader.

By extension, Sir Nyambe, you are saying it is the courts that are corrupt. Those guys were thrown out of their seats by due process of the courts. It was not Suntwe. Take Kabimba to court for the K25000 donation then comment after that.
So, @Sir Nyambe, you actually think our court are not corrupt? Even the ACC only prosecutes people who are out of favour with the President. Be real. We know how these courts change their tune when the government changes. Chiluba could only be convicted under Mwanawasa’s reign. After that, the papers start missing or just rotting because there is a new president. Same with KK, RB, Mmembe, Nchito brothers etc. Let’s not pretend when we know that prison is a place for the enemies of the state and the poor.

Lets stop blaming Kabimba for every problem in Zambia. We all know creating non-stop by-elections is Sata’s brainwave and modus operand. Next we will be heaping blame on Kabimba for Zambia’s poverty stricken and stunted economic status. Leave the man alone.
This MMD President speaks like a PF insider. Was Kabimba the urinary? Why is it that every problem is being blamed on him?

These by-election are a sheer waste of resources which could ve been used more productively 4 the good of the nation. The leaders should feel ashamed @ the continued useless exercise they have subjected us to. Further, the elections have had a serious toll on the tired politicians. No wonder they are ever tired and failing to work. If 2011 elections were wrong, lets have fresh General and Presidential elections once and for all to correct things so that we can move forward. We are tired of these futile unending useless by-elections. We want medicines in hospitals, labs in schools, research against diseases i.e Ebola & HIV, cheap mealie meal, affordable electricity & petrol, ZNBC without showers, cheaper beer, farming inputs distributed timely, safe homes not parking ur car @police…

‘MMD Dora Siliya’ loves to insult Nevers. Any normal thinking kperson that Kabimba’s strategy was to completely annihilate the opposition and went first after MMD and then went after UPND. Those with good remember when MCS said, “I have now ammunition to completely finish MMD.” This was after swearing in the DPP, Attorney General and somebody else. If it wasnt to sestroy MMD how did PF adopt the same ‘corrupt’ candidates e.g David Phiri in Mkaika, and the Chama candiidate and the Mangango candidate? it all just became a Kabimba circus because the judiciary was in his pocket.
Whether we like it or not Nevers is right. Kabimba was to blame for the unprecedented by-elections and the delay in the release of the draft constitution. He wanted to become a ONE PARTY DICTATOR.
