MMD president Nevers Mumba has commended Minister of Justice Edgar Lungu for opening up dialogue over the constitution-making process.

Dr Mumba said Mr Lungu has shown willingness to expedite the constitution-making process by promoting dialogue.

He said this when he featured on the Sunday Interview on Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) television.

“I must commend Mr Lungu for being open to dialogue so that issues surrounding the constitution can be discussed,” Dr Mumba said.

He, however, said the constitution-making process should not be trivialised.

He urged Government to keep its campaign promise of delivering a people-driven constitution.

    • Its all talk, PF won’t give the people the new constitution they have waited for 50 years, of which Mr Sata pledged to, in 90 days?
Surely, with the running mate clause, with the happenings in PF currently, I see no new constitution and its all talk. For 3 years now, its new constitution and yet Mr Sata said, first he should be shown the animal one, we all heard about that.
As for Dr. Mumba, as usual, playing double standards and that’s the reason why his own MMD members are saying that, MMD is DECEASED, so long Nevers is at helm of bootlegging PF.
PF will never deliver a new constitution, that I promise.

    • @Skeleton-So with your limited understanding of political issues,a good leader is the one who’s always antagnostic, argumentative and opposing even what is right. These are the politics Dr Mumba wants to leave behind.Remain with your tribal HH,and see how far you’ll go in this era.

  1. Rare for the opposition to give credit to the govt… this is the way it ought to be and this behaviour must be nurtured. Politics should be about serving the people of Zambia and where credit is due by all means give it.

But it is too early to shower praises on Mr Lungu… let him walk the talk.

    • Vice President/president Lungu is very capable. He has proven himself time and time again. Great that Mr. Nevers Mumba Acknkwledges goodness when it is due.

  2. CONGRATULATIONS DR. MUMBA. MODERN POLITICS AT WORK WHERE THE OPPOSITION SHOULD COMMEND THE GOVERNMENT AND GIVE CREDIT WHERE IT IS DUE!!! ZAMBIA SHALL BE SAVED!!!!! EDGAR LUNGU IS A WISE MAN FROM THE EAST.

MR. KABIMBA HAS WASTED SO MUCH OF EVERYONE’S TIME WITH HIS POOR AMATEURISH DRIBBLING!! INCOMPETENT!
