Power Dynamos are said to be chasing defender Derrick Mwansa.
Mwansa has just completed a successful one year loan spell across the road from Power at Nkana.
Power officials have been very reluctant to talk about their transfer targets for the 2015 season as the 2014 FAZ Super Division runners-up prepare to represent Zambia in the CAF Confederation Cup that commences in February.
“Power are seriously interested in the player and Derrick is also eager to come back to Kitwe but they are some bureaucratic hurdles from his parent club Nkwazi who want him to stay following their promotion this season,” a source familiar with the development said.
The 24-year-old almost singlehandedly booked Nkana’s debut ticket to the group stage of the 2014 CAF Confederation Cup after scoring a late 85th minute equaliser from the penalty spot against CAB of Tunisia send them the mini league stage.
However, despite his impressive form at Nkana this year, the former Under-20 international has been overlooked by Zambia selectors for the ongoing 2015 Africa Cup local players camp while his former defensive partner at Nkana Christopher Munthali has been picked despite his modest performances and injury issues.
The boy is good… He needs to be given a chance in the national team as well..

Me iam a Power supporter Munthali is slow he can,t be compared with Derick he just booked a place in the N/Team becoz he was playing at Nkana which was a team to watch in 2013/2014 season ,mark my words and watch him carefully as he plays for our team Power.
