The opposition Zambia Direct Democracy (ZDDM) has apologized to former president Rupiah Banda for having not read the mood of Zambians before calling for his political comeback.

The ZDDM has also admitted that it did not read the situation on the ground that the people Zambia have not yet learnt a bitter lesson that not everything shining is gold.

In the open letter of apology addressed to Mr. Banda and made available to Qfm News ZDDM President Edwin Sakala has stated that his party should have known that Zambia is not dealing with a flesh and blood problem but an alleged spiritual problem which can be best handled by the Church.

He says it may therefore not make sense to some people who do not believe in the existence of God but that for those who do it is very clear that Zambia is in the midst of spiritual battle.

The ZDDM president has alleged that this spiritual battle started when late former President Fredrick Chiluba took a very spiritually dangerous decision to declare Zambia a Christian nation.

He says in the spiritual Reims this declaration put Zambia on a war path with the forces of darkness which felt challenged.

The opposition notes for those with eyes to see this spiritual war is even visible as it manifests in among other thing the extremely dirty environment, daily reports of innocent blood being shed, increasing cases of defilement and increase in Gender based violence.

He has observed for the average Zambian depression, hunger, being broke, unemployment, reading a demonic propaganda newspaper and watching confusion have become a normal part of daily life that they will feel lost if they traveled to other countries where life is free of the Satanic manifestation.

  1. Iwe, just keep quiet, there is no substance in what you are saying. You knew very well that short cuts are not acceptable in politics but you chose to be a parasite thinking that RB will scoop the presidential election and claim later a ka fimo, fimo, we know you guys how you operate. Mwamba is back again on centre stage, trick stars always emerge during elections.

    • Undeniably there is a spiritual warfare in Zambia that has engulfed every area of national establishment. But the political theater has “nothing” to do with that as its a case of leaders’ own failure to be strategic rational actors. What can you say of all the 10 candidates filing in nominations when they can hardly garner votes to win a ward or branch? Its just the ego of wanting to be on the ballot and hope they can con a few unsuspecting campaign donors f there are ever there. Look at UNIP’s Tilyenji, Sondashi, Nawakwi, Sinkala, Nevers Mumba, Brig. Gen. Miyanda, Elias Chipimo to mention but a few. They have no winning following atleast in this election, yet they can’t just accept it. A leader ought to be strategic. RB responded to the call but Malila has given MMD a candidate.

    • With RB out of the race, we all knows that this is a summarized race of 2 elephants; EL Vs.HH. The rest are just inconsequential spoilers to shred their money but halt at the tail spend. One of the 2 EL or HH will carry the ruling mandate period.

    • The winner here is RB as he enjoys warm relationship with both front runners. Losers are those who will only exit this race with their egos in the hands but without relevancy and leverage in the post election Zambia.

    • Senior Citizen, please reflect on what you have written. Greater people than you have been punished or killed by God for foolishness.

  3. Really we have a bunch of hypocrits in Zambia and it is high time people started concentrating on real issues and stop this madness. Just because some foools are indisciplined and hungry for power does not mean their is a spiritual warfare in the country. The problem we have in Zambia are a bunch of grown ups fighting for power and busy misleading the citizenry. People must begin to reason and thinking using their brains and put the religion behind them and will soon have some decency for once.

    • Why did ZDDM approach a retired president and why did they think that RB was the right candidate when he lost elections in 2011?
Am sure Edwin Sakala wanted something.

  4. …..too late,he’s already lost his benefits. Even if he takes this issue to the courts he’ll lose……the government has overwhelming evidence against him in the adverts he was running, attending the meeting for presidents which was called by ECZ,Nevers Mumbas legal challenge against him(RB) in both the high court & supreme court….etc.

    • If he announces another retirement he can get the benefits again. Kaunda made a came back then retired again and got his benefits.

  5. Pwahahaha..!! ZDDM are funny characters who Made a fool out of a Bwezani retired politician and thought they could bweza him.

    Perfectionist
    El Scot 2015

  6. HH vs EL only and the whole eastern power is for EL while southern is for HH,THEN MY MBUYAZwill vote for their mbuya its unfortunate that HH mbuyaz will also vote for EL so who wins …EL WINS MORE THIEVING

  7. His own son advised him to stay away from politics. Andrew told him that the people surrounding him were after his money. He didn’t understand. He thought he was indispensable.
