OPPOSITION Forum for Democracy and Development president Edith Nawakwi says she is the most experienced presidential candidate among all the candidates vying for presidency job on January 20.

And Ms Nawakwi has described as “stupid” and “rubbish” the violence which has continued characterising PF and UPND campaigns.

Speaking when she addressed a rally in Malole constituency in Mwingu District and Senga Hills in Mbala district, Ms Nawakwi said both PF and UPND would bring anarchy in the country if voted into office.

Ms Nawakwi, who said she had no apology to make for describing PF and UPND violent campaigns as stupid and rubbish, said both Mr Edgar Lungu and Mr Hakainde Hichilema were a danger to Zambia’s peace and security if put in office.

She explained that anyone who wanted power at any cost should not be given an opportunity to rule the nation as their intraparty violence would be extended to the entire nation.

“PF and UPND are abusing the county’s peace by engaging into violent activities,” she said.

Ms Nawakwi said she was very upset with UPND and PF for being involved in violence activities something she explained was unacceptable in the country which has enjoyed peace for 50years.

“If you vote for Edgar Lungu, you will allow a violent party to form Government. They have no heart for the poor as can be seen by their violent behaviour,” she said.

“Allowing PF to continue would be risking our children and those who will be born in PF era to violence as violence breeds violence ‘Umwana wampombo em empombo ene.”

And Ms Nawakwi reminded Mbala resident that she was the one who connected Senga Hills to the national electricity grid.

The opposition leader who served in 4 Ministerial positions during MMD government said she has proven track record which included taking electricity to several areas which includes Nakonde during the time she served as Minister of Energy.

And campaign manager who is former Malole independent MP Emmanuel Munaile, said there was no candidate in the presidential race who could be compared to Ms Nawakwi.

Mr Munaile said Ms Nawakwi had saved in UNIP and MMD Government on different portfolios adding that her experience was massive.

“Ms Nawakwi is a man in a woman and is a better candidate all other men who are standing on 20 January 2015,” he said.

Mr Munaile said if Malole and Senga Hills constituencies do not vote Ms Nawakwi they would throwing a big stone on their own foot.

He said PF had failed the people of Malole and Senga Hills and advised them to refuse giving them a vote.

Ms Nawakwi is in Northern Province on a campaign trial and she is this week expected fly to Muchinga province to deliver her campaign message.

  1. Indeed you are! Having failed lamentably to bring about a real change as Sata has done, maybe you’re the most failed!!

Tell us about your time at finance, about Aniil and KCM and why you are so supportive of Barrick threats

    • @pg you heard correctly. This means a woman is not capable unless she acts like a man. But why go for a pretender when we have many genuine men around? Kikikikiki!

  2. Experience or the length of time you spend in politics does not necessarily mean you are the best. There is also experience in doing the wrong thing.myour governance with Chiluba was terrible were you as finance minister was giving him the “slush fund” a chunk of taxpayers money that FTJ could spend recklessly without accounting for it.

  3. I’m better than you Edith, I just don’t want to stand at the moment. FDD is one party which was formed on principal by principled men and women, God rest their souls some of them.

  4. We know that you are the most experienced but have you listened to Pilatos campaign song?

    Ati experience! Experience iyashi?

    Viva #FlightHH2015.

  5. I KNOW YOU ARE AND YOU ARE ALSO BLESSED WITH BRAINS MAMA.IT’S A PITY ZED IS NOT READY FOR A FEMALE PRESIDENT,OTHERWISE YOU WILL DO WELL.

  6. Edesi Nawakwi Hambulo, UPND is not a violent party. The Palimbe Future thugs cant attack FDD and NAREP because you wined and dinned with them in South America in 2012. You r not their challenge as you are in the race just to spoil the votes.

  7. EXPERIENCE IN DOING WHAT? THE MMD IS THE MOST DISAPPOINTING PARTY IN THE HISTORY OF ZAMBIA AND THE EXPERIENCE YOU TALK ABOUT WAS GAINED WHILE YOU WERE IN THE MMD. WHAT EXPERIENCE?

    ECL – 2015 WAMENE WAMENE
    2016 – ECL NAFUTI

  8. I have great respect for this vibrant woman. The only person who can rival her in articulation of issues of all candidates, is HH. Edith Haambulo is a woman of substance and aggressive at that.

She deserves to be taken seriously, a she is for the first time since pre Independence days, mobilizing women to participate in politics…. as women. Never since the days of Mama Chikamoneka, has this been attempted.

Katuya bachembele, go for it! But we want that Tonga bull to be seen more with you, for behind every successful wife, there is a man!

  9. The red color in the national flag symbolizes the blood that was shed during the fight for political independent; you can imagine how much violence there was from both the then ruling government and opposition UNIP. so you cannot separate politics and violence.
