Janza backs his new blood as future of Zambia

Share

Honour Janza has said he expects the new look Zambia team to form the foundation of the next generation Chipolopolo side.

Janza has handed tournament debuts to ten players who have an average age of 22.

“This is not the last Africa Cup of Nations tournament we are participating in, so it is vital that we have some young players being introduced to competitions of such nature,” Janza said.

Amongst the new faces are Zambia Under-20 striker Patrick Ngoma and midfielder Spencer Sautu including 21-year-old Nkana striker Ronald Kampamba.

“The Ngoma’s and Sautu’s are the future for Chipolopolo and the experience they gain now will definitely pay dividends in our future continental assignments,” Janza said.

  1. There is COSAFA for that Mr. Janza. No Coach goes to build a team at Afcon. No results, both u and Kalusha are gone.

  2. A little too late, why didn’t you expose them earlier so that this time they woud be the focus of our hope for this AFCON? Were you mandated to to prepar the team for this or another un know AFCON ? So we are going for experience and not for gold. You have just gotten yoursel a red card chief

  3. Thats the problem with amateurs. They are always experimenting and building.Which bunch of amateurs ever won the world cup?As for Afcon you need more professionalism and a lot of serious training and hard work. The team looks good but lacks the mental strength and game time to defeat the best in Africa. The passing and movement on and off the ball left much to be desired against Bafana Bafana.A quarter final place would do for us but look at the latest FIFA rankings of teams in our group. Then you know that ours is indeed a group of death where you need to go with bombers not air guns.Good luck boys.We are behind you though.GOD BLESS ZAMBIA.

  4. I will say Janza is a big dreamer but i don’t blame him after meeting some National team player here in Johannesburg where they are camping now i know why Janza is the Coach as much as i respect Kalu on this one boss you have lost it, he talks first at half time before the Coach talks he is in control and Mr Janza is just his front no wonder he looks lost on the bench no ideas and i promise you if Zambia comes out first round Janza will be the one taking bullet and Kalu will act hey you wanted a local Coach and see what happened ,the Players say it never happened during foreign Coaches i feel for you Janza.

  5. From the word go Janza has already signaled to Zambians that he is not going there to win, but to prepare a team for the future. This is not acceptable, especially that a few years ago we were champions, how come today we are building again. Does it mean Zambia will always go Afcon tournaments to expose young talents, then when are we ever going to an Afcon tournament as title contenders or as favourites. It hurts mwe!!!!

After this Afcon, there is need to clean up begining with the Football Association of Zambia upto the technical bench. We need serious people to take over at FAZ. Fyabupuba fye ifi…
