Sports Munthali thankful for AFCON selection

Defender Christopher Munthali has thanked God after being included in the final Chipolopolo squad for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

Munthali is in Honour Janza’s 23-man Zambia squad that is heading to Equatorial Guinea this week.

The Power Dynamos defender said he expected his inclusion in the AFCON bound team.

“I am not surprised because I believe in God,” Munthali told Radio Icengelo.

“I give thanks to God he is the one who did it for me and the coaches. It is the favour of the most High God,” he added.

Munthalu is one of the ten players who will be making the Africa Cup debut in Equatorial Guinea.

  1. Yes ,but make sure you marry your opposing striker and speed up your game. You tend to give too much room to your opponent.

    • But Lesa nasebana. Everywhere its God. Even Edgar Lungu is same ati he was picked by God, and thats why Scott failed to bring him down.
@Munthali, learn to sell yourself, you need go to Europe after AFCON, even in interviews say what we know about you:
      – Clean player, well disciplined, gets less cards compared to Nsunzu
      – Good guy, likeable when not in a “taliban” beard.
