Power Dynamos beat Forest in pre-season friendly

Experienced winger Kennedy Mudenda scored twice as Power Dynamos beat Forest Rangers 2-0 in a friendly match played under flood-lights at Arthur Davies Stadium on Saturday evening.

Tenant Chilumba’s side is preparing to face Al Khartoum SC of Sudan in the preliminary round of the 2015 CAF Confederation Cup.

The away first leg enounter is expected to be played at night on 14 February in Khartoum.

Mudenda scored in each half in Power’s first 2015 pre-season friendly watched by hundreds of fans in Kitwe.

He opened the scoring with an early penalty resulting from the hacking of striker Alex Ng’onga in the Forest box before sealing the win with a late thunderbolt.

Power had beaten Forest 1-0 in the earlier friendly match thanks to a goal from midfielder Kelvin Mubanga.

Meanwhile Chilumba used this practice match to try out new players among them striker Felix Sunzu, defende Derrick Mwansa and midfielder Larry Bwalya.
