Response to Dora Siliya’s Comments on the Presidential Elections

Share

Edgar Lungu and Dora Siliya
Edgar Lungu and Dora Siliya during PF campaigns in Petauke

Please allow me to respond to the article you posted on your website written by Dora Siliya. Again, I have highlighted what Dora said and responded accordingly.

Dora: After 50 years of independence, we are still challenged in terms of national unity as shown in the Southern Province vote. Much work will have to be done for Southerners to feel included in the One Zambia One Nation aspiration. We wait for the day when, like Sinda in eastern Province, other parties, apart from the UPND, can win some constituencies in the Southern Province.

My Response: Again a direct attack on the people of SP. What’s your obsession with SP.? Here are the numbers madam Dora. In SP, Lungu got 20, 937 votes while HH got 33,882 votes in EP—a difference that can be attributed to the massive efforts devoted to the province by the UPND team. Lungu got over 20,000 votes with just a single visit to SP. Meanwhile, HH visited EP more than five times during this campaign period. In Kafue Lungu got 7,758 while in Livingstone he was offered 8,352 votes—almost the same number that HH got in Chipata. So what’s tribal about that? How can you use a different measuring stick for the people of SP?

Madam Dora, did you also consider how many votes HH got in provinces such as Luapula and Muchinga? It’s extremely prejudicial and offensive for you to think that the people of SP did not use reason at all and instead wasted their votes on their chosen candidate.

While you are it Madam Dora, could you give me names of people from other provinces who have held elected offices in EP? SP has had several elected officials who come from other parts of the country. From Kafue to Livingstone Members of Parliament and Councillors of various ethnicities have been elected in Tongaland.

Dora: The political instability in Western Province over the Barotse issue and general high poverty levels were clearly reflected in the anti-Government voting patterns there….On face value one would argue that the UPND has greatly increased its popularity. However, I think there is something else at play here…the high UPND votes are actually anti PF/Sata votes.

My Response: What exactly is your argument here madam. What do you mean the high UPND votes are anti PF/Sata? Isn’t that what elections are all about? You try hard to penetrate your opponent’s stronghold and if you do so then you ought to be commended. You just fell short of saying UPND ran a good campaign and had a good message to the people. Those that did not vote for PF understood the pain that they went through in the past 3 years.

You and RB and your tribalism
Dora, maybe you have forgotten but I would like to remind you what you told the people of EP during your recent campaigns. You told them to vote for Lungu so that EP has a second term. It is such language from politicians like you that is dividing the nation. The chiefs in EP went public on their support for Lungu and you were mute. One chief in SP goes public in support HH and you go crazy. Do not forget that it was HH who stood by RB when he was being prosecuted by Lungu and Sata.

If you look at history Dora, the people of SP chose to disband ANC to form a unity government in 1973. They were the people that predominately financed UNIP and other movements during the struggle. More than 10,000 cows alone were sold by the people of chief Mwanachingwala and the money handed to Kaunda and his leadership. Does that sound like tribalism to you?

Other Issues Raised
Sadly madam, our country does not elect leaders on issues raised. You Dora, an educated person, chose to support a candidate who clearly failed to address issues affecting the electorate. If I had to rate the candidates on how each addressed issues that affect the majority of citizens EL would rank number 11. Even Sinkamba did a better job at addressing how he would raise the GDP by thinking outside the box.

On the Constitution
Dora, your preferred candidate has failed to commit on having a new constitution before our next general election. When your party MMD was in power it failed to give the Zambian people a desired constitution. As an MP and former minister Dora, you have completely failed in your role to provide policy and create effective checks and balances. Instead, we all know the scandals that surrounded your portfolio.

On Corruption
How exactly did you become the richest minister under RB? Where did you get the money madam? You were minister of communications when Zamtel was sold to LapGreen which was not the highest bidder at all. How were you cleared by the tribunal and how were you reappointed minister even before the tribunal finished writing its report? Why did you fight so hard to remove the abuse close in the constitution? Dora, my conclusion about you is that you don’t mean well for the country. You are more concerned and consumed in yourself than in us.

Your support for EL
Again, your support for EL does not make any sense other than the fact that you both come from EP. Like you attributed in your previous article, you talked about being expensive to change government. My response to you was very clear. I mentioned that it did not matter who became president because there would be a new cabinet—a thing that has proved me right today. It’s people like you Dora that continue to take this country backward. You have retrogressive ideas altogether (assuming you have some).

MMD as Biggest Loser
In my opinion, the biggest loser in this election was your party the MMD. In 2011 your party got 987,866 votes while in the just ended elections they got 14,609. That’s only 1.48% of what you scored in 2011. Are you not ashamed that your party performed so badly in this election? Shouldn’t you, an MMD spokesperson, be talking about what went wrong and how you MUST regroup immediately in readiness for 2016?

What’s next for you Dora?
I am really curious about what’s next for you, Dora? It does not take a rocket scientist to predict what will happen next in your political career after all this is Zambia right? It’s very likely that in the coming months you will relentlessly seek a job from the new president or jump ship and leave MMD completely to join PF. Not because you believe in the policies of PF but because you need a job. This is coming very soon and I hope I will be proved wrong.

What’s next for Zambia?
This is perhaps the biggest question that we should all be puzzling over. Does the new president understand the huge responsibility that he carries for the 14 million citizens? Is he going to be devoted 100% to fight poverty, creating new jobs and raising the standard of living, healing the nation? Or is it just another donchi kubeba reloaded on the Zambian people? Time will tell.

  1. STOP IMPOSING YOUR VIEWS ON ZAMBIANS: PEOPLE FROM ALL APRTS OF ZAMBIA FALL IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER EVERYDAY, BECOME FRIENDS, EAT AND DRINK TOGETHER EVERYDAY AND CONDUCT BUSINESS WITH EACH OTHER EVERYDAY. THIS HAS BEEN THE CASE EVER SINCE AND NO ONE SHOULD INCITE VIOLENCE AND SENSETIONALISE THE TRIBAL ISSUE NOW. DO YOU KNOW THAT THE VOTING PATTERNS OF THE LAST ELECTION SHOW ONLY THE OPNION OF 1.6MILLION VOTERS OUT OF A POPULATION OF 14MILLION PEOPLE???? COME ON GUYS, GET SANE!

    • You see, Dora should not worry anybody. After all she’s just a high level prostitute and she should be taken as such. Many of your may not know why she was divorced, but that is the major reason. Please ignore her, lest she contaminates you with her prostitution!

    • Mr Ngwenya you have hit the nail on the head. Those were exactly my views when I said that Easterners better be watched because they practice open tribalism since KK days.

Easterners remained UNIP because KK is considered their own and only voted MMD after RB one of their own was given a top position in MMD by Mwanawasa a Tonga for that matter.

MMD under RB purged all the other tribes systematically, to make sure that, only those from East were close to state house and top government and Embassy positions to the point where the Bembas rose up to challenge RB by giving Sata a massive vote.

Eastern province recorded the lowest votes for PF and Sata in 2011. The records are there for all to see, but no one called them tribalist.

Now that Lungu is one of their own, they voted…

    • Don’t bother yourself with Fo.ols like Dora??. She is finished with no morals. A leader as she claims should not think in tribal lines. Moreover Lungu should watch out for people like Dora and Peter Daka. they are the fo.ols who finished RB.

Even Petauke Central do not like her attitude. A woman with no respect but full of insults.,

She is a waste of time and should just open a BROTHEL than being a politician.

    • @ 1.2 wanzelu. What you have said about Easterners and tribalism is precisely the point I have been making in my other postings. My cousins practice wako ni wako more than Bembas and yet it is us who are called names and blamed for every ill. I think HH/UPND lost the last election because of the likes of RB, Dora and other MMD MPs supporting their own – Lungu.

    • SOME ARTICLES OR VIEWS & COMMENTS ARE NOT WORTH PUBLISHING. I THINK ITS BETTER FOR ALL NEWS MEDIAS TO BLOCK OR FILTER OR INDEED DENY PUBLISHING OR REGARD AS UNWHOLESOME ANYTHING THAT INTERFERES WITH THE INTER-TRIBE COEXISTENCE THAT WE’VE ENJOYED FOR YEARS.. I AM HALF ZAMBIAN HALF SOMETHING ELSE AND I GOT NO PROBLEM WHATSOEVER WITH ANY TRIBE. I CAN SPEAK BEMBA, KAONDE, NSENGA, TONGA, CHICHEWA/NYANJA, ENGLISH, CHINESE, NORWEGIAN, & I AM LEARNING SILOZI.. THESE ARE JUST LANGUAGES AND CHANGES NO ONE… ACTUALLY U SHOULD BE PROUD HAVING SUCH VARIETY OF LANGUAGES- IT ADDS COLOR LIKE A BOUQUET OF FLOWERS TO THE COUNTRY.

    • The people of sp will vote for who ever they see as the one to 1, give them agricultural inputs on time.2, pay them for their products on time.3, put in place policies that will improve their livestock production. Try and allow them to export their products. They will stop participating in these filthy elections. These people are very intelligent and know how to articulate issues. It is not about pantu ni Ba Yama.

    • chiwoman ici chichisusu .
Dora easterners are the most tribalistic pipo mwe bantu twafweni ba muzungu anikonde no tucawa few ba bemba better than you ba ngoni/nsenga

    • @Impako; No Sir, and fu.ck you sir! HH has never talked tribe, but it’s chaps like you and Dora Siliya, together with your dead president that are full of tribal talk. You are a f00l sir, and you should never have audience on this forum. I repeat, fu.ck you sir!!

    • st jude! is it not your HH who said it is because he was born a tonga that is why he never won the election, now who has ever said those words after losing? how many times has miyanda lost the election or sata and blames their tribe?

    • You came from a tribal p.u.s.s.y so we can’t be surprised. HH has never campaigned on tribal lines. Actually the man spent more time in none tonga provinces than in SP. Tongas are farmers. PF has messed their source of livelyhood hence the way they voted. If Lungu improves the welfare of farmers and comes up with an inclusive government by ensuring that people from SP, WP NWP CP and LSK & Copperbelt Rural are allowed to play a role in the governance of this country, the voting pattern may differ in 2016.

    • @Impako
Firstly, let me apologise for calling you names. I see that at least you do think. However, HH said that in reaction or in agreement to what you chaps have been saying in your tribal talk. You have continuously said he cannot win because he is Tonga. Would you fault him for agreeing with your views? After all you are the voters

    • I don’t remember hearing HH talking tribalism apart from innuendos by Post and other political enemies.

The only issue at hand is that certain tribes don’t want others to ascend to power using numbers. But its a matter of time, Zambians are regrouping to stop this nonsense.

    • HH is above tribalism. Just look at the way he campaigned, by the way he can speak a number of Zambian languages. Can the leader who claim to be non tribalist speak a language from the east where he claims to come from and he where got his ‘winning’ votes from?? My prayer is, history should repeat itself, EL should erase RB & Dora from his memory. Levy (RIP) was a great leader.

    • @impako

Its Mmembe who should start denouncing the fake perception he created of labelling tongas tribalist. If you remember, when Kabimba his stooge, was dropped by Sata, it was Mmembe who cried tribalism again and labelled Bembas tribal clique.

Mmembe began labelling HH tribal when Sakwiba lost to HH in intra party elections. Has it worked? Big No, HH is winning and making progress in other parts of the country.

If Lungu is clever, he should start by attacking Mmembe for his lies and force him to retract the tribalism myth he concocted against the Tongas when in reality the true tribalists are the Easterners.

I will continue to label Easterners as tribalist until they change their ways and begin to vote for a candidate based on his ideas and not tribe. So far so good…

    • RB is to blame for what happened, he reduced himself to a cadre . Just imagine a former head of state dividing the country on tribal lines.

    • @Impako

You are missing the point; HH told us what was said to him by tribalists like you. You are blind to reality and you certainly lack the power of understanding.

  2. When Northern, Muchinga and Luapula were persistently voting Sata/PF, there were referred to as strongholds.
When Southern, Western and Northwestern persistently vote HH/UPND, it is tribalism.
When HH/UPND spend a lot of time (3 weeks) and resources in Northern, Muchinga, Luapula and Eastern provinces and get some significant votes, the people there are benevolent and generous.
When Lungu/PF spends 3 days covering Southern, Western and Northwestern and people don’t know him anmd his message, they are tribal.
When Lungu is a mediocre candidate with mediocre message and no vison, people of SP, WP, and NWP should still vote for him.
When HH is a strong candidate with a solid message and vision, votes from WP, SP and NWP are tribal. Sh.i.i..t!!

    • I don’t ride on tribal politics, but you will know that the PF gave livingstone and choma priority in development naturally they deserved a fair vote, but thanks to Vj and his minions,2016 you r under watch, we r aware of your activities which go against HH’s integrity claims yet he kept quiet hoping to win thru back door, shem,!

    • @Chinyama
Indeed uli Chinyama; a nondescript animal. You want the people of SP to roll down in the sand in ululation because the govt has taken a ka project or two? What about Namwala, Monze, Chisekesi, Mapanza, Kalomo, Zimba, Musokotwane etc; don’t they need development too? The mandate of govt is to take development to all parts of the country but that does not guarantee them votes. When the people fee insecure they will vote to chage govt despite the tuma projects. Do not expose you mental inadequacies here sir, madam or whatever you are. Uli mubwa wa muchila!!

    • Very good,Straight to the point. This must be a headline sumwhre.

While others see tribalism, SP sees quality leadership just like they gave Chiluba support.

    • exactly my point. you expect lungu to get votes from Gwembe, Namwala and chikankata where he never campaigned? HH campiagned hard in luapula, northern and eastern province and some people bought into his message. GBM, Katele kalumba, sinda MP ETC were on the ground and yet HH is accused of TRIBALISM.

    • This is the calibre of thinking which is lacking on this blog.critical ;thoughtful and well articulate.if zambia can have 5% of your thinking:it can become the hub of africa.well done sir.God bless u

  3. the response is quire right and on spot! read through again if you didn’t get facts stated outright. the only difference lies in the fact they both come from regions where with bad,if not, poor voting patterns where the basis of doing thing hinges on tribal lines…pathetic for my liking & that’s wat’s up!

    • Ngwenya is portraying his low calibre by arguing that Kafue is in Southern province. FYI, Kafue is in Lusaka province. Livingstone is in Southern province but not Tonga dominated. L/stone is cosmopolitan, so to argue that there have been MPs who are not Tonga is being duII.

  4. @Ngwenya
You have raised a concise rebuttal of Dora Siliya’s thinking. My view is that Siliya et al., (2015) have continued insulting the folks from Southern province. Siliya et al., (2015) think that tongas cannot identify a good candidate and only think in tribal lines. To me Siliya et al. exhibit something more troubling about this concept called Zambia. She was an MP and a member of cabinet with such shallow reasoning skills if any. As a concept, we are really literally and figuratively f#$ked up, considering that the likes of Siliya and Chama are currently running the show.

  5. Awe nomba iyi trobal talk twanaka nayo mwe…
Pipo get a life, we are ll the same, equal and just one pipo even though we differ in opinion.

    • Cacine, HH’s time will come. Zambians will not stop complaining. I do not know what kind of a leader will please them? No leader will ever feed your stomach daily. Work hard on your own.

  6. When we are chilling with my friends, the issue of tribe does not arise? whats wrong with you Dora and group? why do you hate SP? Do you want Zambia to regroup according to our historical boundaries like europe? Politicians should sober up even when they are soliciting for jobs. zambia is bigger than you and it will be there after you! For you it is ok for the president to embrace people who liken the people of SP to dogs and condemn citizens who used their democratic right to vote for a candidate of their choice. why do we have elections anyway?

    • Don’t worry my brother the president knows why he said southern province here I come, it’s not even the tongas it’s mwanga and HH’s sponsors who had dirty activities in the three regions including my own. Don’t blame tongas see 2016 voting patterns due to vigilance..

  7. While we celebrated at heroes stadium and eventually statehouse I was not fully taken by Joy because I understood how much work my president had before him.. we need to help genuinely countrymen.. RB & dora well done it’s was the right thing to do.. U stopped evil HH knows what I mean…

  8. Your present a logic argument and nail the point, I do not see any reason for MMD to support PF other than selfish individuals. RB and Dora are the same shameless characters who are busy talking about people from southern province when they exactly do the opposite.

Zambia is one and do not point fingers on others when you are the ones who stole from Zambians when they gave you the power to rule. shame on you.

    May you rot in hell

    • Because you have decided to be the Arresting officer, Prosecutor, Star Witness and Judge! And you still want them to defend themselves!!! Shouldn’t they vote for one of their own no matter how good he is just because, others will feel jealous. I voted for HH and I’m from Eastern Province. Give us credible candidates, I will be the first one to vote for a Bemba or Eastern province candidate…!!

    • @Watcherman

Southerners are part of our compatriots in North Western Rhodesia. They share the same heritage as the Mbowe, Nkoya, Goba, We, Lenje, Mbwela, Lushange, Ndululu, Simaa, Shanjo, Mashi, Kwandi, Mwenyi, Nyengo, Kwandi, Lamba, Sala, Ila, Lumbu, Soli, Toka, Subiya, Totela, Lukolwe, Leya, Lima, Kaonde, Lunda, Chokwe, Lovale, Lamba, Tonga, Lumbu, Seba, Ndembo, Makomba, Mashasha, Nyengo, Makoma, Luchaze, Lumbu.

United against the corrupt plunders of the Northern Provinces we stand.

We are already more civilised and developed than the economic refuges of northern provinces. They need us and we don’t need them. So its check mate.

I urge Southerners to lift their heads high. The Linyungandambo stand by your side!!

    • @11.3 Salamat – This is about Dora and Easterners. How have you brought Northern province into it? You see your problem? Also most of the tribes you have listed as sharing the same heritage as Southerners infact emigrated from Congo like the Northerners that you hate so much. I know you are looking for support in your futility but try to be logical atleast.

    • Southerner are business minded people who take politics like a wasted efforts. They always vote for candidates with strong economic-business message, just like the North westerners and Westerners. If there will ever be a good leader like KK and Mwanawasa , Southerners will go back to business as their target is to generate 40% of Zambia’s wealth. I am happy with Lungu. Dora is foolish and Du11. I was with her at UNZA.

    • @11.5 Salamat – I don’t know whether I should waste my energy educating you but if you were not ignorant you will have realised that mine workers over the decades have been predominantly from Northern provinces. If that is not contribution then you are too thick.

Economic success is not only about having resources but what you do with them. Also running businesses is a contribution. Are you saying GBM does not contribute to the economic table of Zambia? Running a business or a farm is a contribution.

  9. RB and Dora are bad elements in PF. This might cost PF in the near future. These chaps are well known in Zambia by their corrupt attitude.

How do you welcome somebody who has been condemned? We need to get serious……..Am seeing PF slowly becoming MMD just by the introduction of these chaps. Your excellence ECL, please don’t entertain such people or else you will loose your good truck record.

  10. it is very painful what is happening in zambia.

Just to remind dora, there was a door to door campaign, which was kept off the public, in luapula, eastern, muchinga and northern, door to door and among their people on texts all over zambia, that dont vote for hakainde because the people of southern, western and northwestern want to divide the country into two.

if you give hakainde the power, they will cut the country into two.

because my name is kabamba, they thought am bemba and came to my home as well in mansa.

we know what this country is all about now

  11. Reason is simple! Wrangling inpf cost them time and ground! HH campaigned for 90days while PF campaigned for only 29days,Let’s not get involved in fantasy

  12. Actually tribalism is only LT! Right now I am having a nice time with my office mates from various tribes Tongas included

    • It is only on ZWD,this tribalism thing..Before i travelled home i used to think Zambia was on fire , such id,its will put the nation on fire.

    • Mulenga tell her. Dora at UNZA used to go to hotels. I once hoked her for one night. Sure she is a prostitute, She was chased by her husband.

  13. ..in life at times you realise of a mistake soon after you commit one or realise much later ..at time you do something with a full knowledge that what you are about to do is a mistake but you still go ahead anyway because of emotions at that particular time or assuring yourself that things may turn out otherwise…
..on the other hand, what you may have considered a mistake may turn out to be a blessing in disguise at a later stage….that is a reality of life.
in every society, there are individuals who easily connect with people, their voices are the loudest but not necessarily the best of character….they easily persuade, convince and influence others….there are clinically mad people….but we all have some degree of insanity but it varies with circumstances…same with tribalism…

  14. More than 10,000 cows alone were sold by the people of chief Mwanachingwala and the money handed to Kaunda and his leadership. Does that sound like tribalism to you?
luapula only has 1800 pigs, 800 goats and 2500 chicken. Pigs are used to eat up the mess behind the 17th century hats.

I WONDER WHAT THESE PEOPLE REALLY VOTE FOR.

  15. Let’s call a spade a spade. We are all the same from east to the west, north to the south. If Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe was a Tonga he would have been a hero there without changing anything about himself. In the same way Harry Mwanga Nkumbula would have been a hero in Bemba land if he was Bemba. Don’t you realize that Nelson Mandela was a terrorist in White America until a few years back? Endorsements affect so called tribal voting a great deal. Iam happy that our King Kanyanta Manga II didn’t endorse anybody. The barotse land issue require a televised open debate with people phoning in by video so they don’t hide and insult. The people pushing Barotse issue should also help us understand what they really want.

  16. When Northern, Muchinga and Luapula were persistently voting Sata/PF, they were referred to as strongholds.
When Lungu/PF spends 3 days covering Southern, Western and Northwestern and people don’t know him and his message, they are tribal.
When Lungu is a mediocre candidate with mediocre message and no vison, people of SP, WP, and NWP should still vote for him.
When HH is a strong candidate with a solid message and vision, votes from WP, SP and NWP are tribal.
In SP, Lungu got 20, 937 votes while HH got 33,882…

  17. Mr, please learn to brief and concise . Not this meandering article of yours which lacks real substance. Coming to your arguement that Southerners voted well, any way I can just say wait for 2016 when Zambians shall vote in the spirit of Southerners thats when you know.

Peace and Prosperity to Mother Zambia.

  18. You people attacking Dora, take time to see nepotism at UNZA where Tongas are dominated! If a Tonga is head of department you will have a hierarchy of Tongas down to a sweeper. Even UNZASU presidents have been Tongas whether they had a good manifesto or not. Students used to vote purely on tribe. I don’t know this time. When the rumor came out that Mazoka has won, Tongas at UNZA bought T shirts with inscription Tonga Bulls. They started threatening Bembas. I was there at UNZA in perfect bewilderment. Look at how they demonized Sata thru ZWD! I came from the CB and never knew tribalism until when I was accepted at UNZA. Off course not all Tongas are tribal but the majority of them. I am not Bemba but I find peace with bembas. You can interact with them without trouble. ABASH TRIBALISM

    • You are spot on man. These guys they say they are educated and yet we have seen favours in Ministries, UNZA , Agricultural colleges etc. Can Lungu look into this please so that every person should be employed on merit not tribe??

    • What have Bembas been doing since Chiluba’s time? From nowhere Bemba is now the official language in Lusaka. Even Lungu campaigned in Bemba wherever he went regardless of the local language. All Cabinet, parastatal chiefs, diplomatic staff are now Bemba. Do you think non-Bembas are happy with that?

    • @ 25.2 Silumba-sa-Sata. Try to reason some times my friend.

      1. The spread of Bemba to Lusaka is not by design but by migration of people from C/B in search of employment/business.

      2. Lungu was born and bread in Kitwe and therefore he speaks Bemba better than Nyanja. My children were born in England and only speak English.

      3. If you look at Chiluba’s cabinet you will see how inclusive it was. The fact that Sata was tribal does not render every Bemba tribal.

  19. Analytical Dora should focus her energies in providing solutions to
redeeming MMD a party she represents in Parliament instead of
issuing statements designed at diverting attention from the mess and destruction her actions and RB’s have caused MMD, a party which had strong foundation and popularity since 1991.

Her, Muhabi and RB abandoned their own home (MMD) at the late hour to go and help strengthen the foundation of their neighbour’s house (PF), PF has survived the storm, whilst the MMD house has been left in tatters.

You have killed the fatted cow, drink the milk and join the feast.

  20. Ladies and Gentlemen, it is disheartening to note here on this forum the level of disrespect towards one another in the form of cheap vulgarities. This culture of insults is not healthy at ALL. Ours is a duty to provide analysis in the hope the other individual gets our point of reasoning. What we debate here could just be a recipe to that needed advice, but I fear the opposite is the truth when insults become a salutation. The propensity and appetite of a preferred tribal president is disastrous because then the content of character goes unquestioned. When it comes to which tribesman should ascend to the Zambian presidency, It is just a matter of time (time is a good teacher). How long did it take a black man to become president of the United States, so it shall be with any tribesman

  21. Dora u are one of the wist woman .Just go and sleep .stop talking about HH he is our president if you don’t like him go outside the country.Zambia belongs to all the tribes Lozis ,Tonga ,Bembas ,Tumbukas .Lets talk of development instead of Tribalism. It is not a crime to be born a Tonga Ok.

  22. The votes that EL got in Southern Province did not come from Tongas but rather from other tribes. That is especially is the case in Livingstone. It is a well known fact. Therefore, the article is misleading the public.

    • And how did Luapulans vote? What about Muchingans? These ignorant thieving tribalists voted for their “cousin” without regard to content if his character. Now we have a thief and drunkard for a President.

  23. My house boy, my house maid, my driver are all from Eastern Province (BANDA, DAKA, MWALE) and now my new most important servant LUNGU Chagwa is also an Eastner. I just can’t get away from these Easteners… Let breakup Zambia and see who will better off.

  24. Who coined the campaign phrase “wako ni wako” in the 1990s? Which people came up with the motto “Umodzi ku mawa”? Like someone said the easterners are worse tribalists, it’s true. Dora the Miss Piggy must be ignored because she just a desperate muppet.

  25. People are belabouring on this tribal animal leaving the person championing it. Fred membe is the one who has been championing against HH.

  26. Most of you are still in mourning and therefore engaging in a debate with you is like provoking a dog which has just delivered. Please respect the president Lungu. The reality is hate or love EL, he is still your VVIP that you cannot insult publicly. Cowards sit behind their computers and write nonsense because they are jealous. Viva EL, Viva PF. Abashala niba ngwele naba kolokombwa.

  27. @Salamat
whether people try to fight and reason with these guys from poverty stricken N/eastern Rhodesia no solution will be found, you can’t reason with a poor man, separation is the way forward let’s keep on strategizing and reclaim our land we have nowhere to run to this is the only land God gave us together with our generation we must get it back before all the resources are finished.since this One Zambia One Nation thing has failed they will resist for reason we all know but we have to do it whether it takes millions of us to be killed we have to do it

    • @ Bantu Botatwe, Rwanda had a war, they never separated, Congo has war, they are not separated. Your rhetorics and innuendos bore us. The world is becoming one global village. So you stup!d devilish suggestion will never work. Just concentrate on educating your uneducated tribesmen. Bembas are not poor. They are running multi national corporation. They are successful politicians. Let the lambas chase you away from the CB as well. Infact we will get more jobs from your backyard. This is the world my stup!d Bantu botatwe. Zambia cannot and will never split. How I would wish such people to be wiped out and leave young educated Zambians who will never know tribalism. So go to hell with your stup!d suggestion. May God have mercy on your soul.

  28. Another missed opportunity. Ngwenya has given bloggers food for thought but alas! Here we go again typical of cadres behaving like two year olds over a toy. I thought that Ngwenya’s argument in comparison to mama Dora’s was convincing and meritorious.

  29. Clearly Dora Siliya has touched a nerve in you..i personally am failing to follow your reasoning in reference to her analysis of last elections..she raised reasons in each province for the pf/upnd performance. .you however have gone on a verbal diarrhoea attack on her person…is it true Dora is richest mmd minister..what about mutati namugala situmbeko konga even Sylvia. .

  30. @joshua mweene
Actually, Dora was the richest MMD minister under RB. I was an insider and know what I am talking about. She pocketed a whole lot of change from the Lapgreen deal and the airport installation equipment deal. It’s believed she was worth a couple of million dollars then.

  31. Enough of this anti Tonga nonsense. Maybe the bantu botatwe shud break away from this failed project callled zambia. This covers southern province, lusaka province, parts of central province since some pipo hate tongas. I m not tonga myself but tongas are suffering abuse simply for being tonga. The tongas are hardworking, enterprising and intelligent pipo who can look look after themselves from the massive water, land and othrr resources. They wont need impotent pipo to survive. A motion to commence signatures to break away shud start as soon as possible. Enough is enough!

  32. RB AND DORA BENEFITTED FROM THE CORRUPT SALE OF ZAMTEL. RB GOT THE FIRST INSTALLMENT WHEN TRANSITED THROUGH TRIPOLI, LIBYA, ON HIS WAY TO ROME TO ATTEND THE FAO CONFERENCE. HE GOT HIS LAST INTALMENT FROM WHICH DORA BENEFITTED IN FUWE WHEN THE CHADIAN PRESIDENT VISITED HIM. IDRES DEBI WAS USED BY GADAFFI TO BE A COVER FOR LAPGREEN TO DELIVER THE LAST PAYMENT. DORA WAS PAID HER SHARE AND FROM FLEW FROM MFUWE TO SOUTH AFRICA TO HIDE THE LOOT. THEIR SUPPORT FOR LUNGU WAS ON TRIBAL BASIS.
