The opposition National Restoration Party (NAREP) has added its voice in refuting claims the just ended January 20th presidential election could have been a fraud.
NAREP National Secretary Jervan Kamanga says having been personally involved in the presidential election he finds it unfair for any individual or political party to claim the poll was a fraud.
Reverend Kamanga states as far as his party is concerned, the presidential election was free and fair.

He has told Qfm News this means all political parties that took part in the election must accept the results without throwing unnecessary and unsubstantiated claims that the election was stolen.
Reverend Kamanga says to this effect his party’s president Elias Chipimo Junior will be issuing a comprehensive statement on the just ended presidential election to state the way forward for NAREP.
He says his party also thinks that the just ended election has brought out the ugly face of tribalism which it totally condemns.
Reverend Kamanga has appealed to the President Edgar Lungu to find ways and means of bridging the gap to all the people around the country who were misled to vote on tribal lines.
Tell that to HH. He seems to have taken part in different elections – although he lost in these.

There’s alot of of discussion right now in the UPND about the possibility of replacing HH….are you not aware?
UPND should be very careful. PF is trying by all means to replicate the internal power struggle they experienced prior to the 2015 Presidential by-election. Such divisions would have been politically fatal to an opposition political party. UPND must employ proven strategies to effectively counter the calls for HH’s replacement. HH’s loss in the 2015 elections have nothing to do with his behviour and character. The loss had more to do with (1) “Mugabe input”, (2) HH’s inability to address rallies in the Copperbelt and Northern regions in Icibemba for which he was viewed as pompous (the man cannot speak bemba coz he grew up in a non-bemba speaking region), (3) RB factor, (4) poor understanding of politics (gullibility) by the electorate, etc. So sad, really.
I think HH has over played the tribal card . He seem a lonely wolf in condemning the elections. Even the international community have deserted him

…..credibility of an election may be looked at in different ways but the basic elements/milestone is violence, intimidation or disadvantaging the opponent in anyway including denying him or her to campaign in certain areas…..
….however, when it comes to manipulating the system(rigging), its usually done so professionally that it leave ambiguous evidence for any challenger to use as credible proof of malpractice…..and this only affect the affected….what can NAREP or 4R or UNIP cry foul for…??….how many times has PF cried foul..??…they cried foul in 2006 and 2008 except 2001 when they got only 3% of total votes…same situation as NAREP..
….ask Shaka Ssali of VOA, FTJ confessed that in 2001 they ‘dribbled’ Mazoka…so this rigging ‘thing’ is real..it can happen.
Calls for the replacement of HH are designed to sow a seed of discontent among supporters so that UPND is divided and weakened prior to the 2016 elections. PF will work very hard in the next 20 months to dismantle UPND. Small parties such as NAREP will be used extensively to create an impression that HH is just a bitter person. Remember that NAREP and FDD Presidents had labelled HH as a bitter loser in 2011 and had even gone to bed with PF in the hope that the late President might give them jobs. They (NAREP and FDD Presidents) only started speaking as opposition parties when they realised that late President Sata (MHSRIP) was not going to reward them. For now, NAREP is just jealousy of HH’s robust performance. We just have to hear what FDD’s EN’s comment will be.
