    • Please leave Bana Dalitso Lungu away from public. She needs to rest, she has been selling in Chawama markets for too long. Abene ni bana maliketi mu chawama.

    • Mrs. Lungu will soon discard that wetlook on her head once she gets to grips with state house life. She will soon hear about Brazilian Hair. Now LT, i know it’s a slow news day going by number of pictures published here without an article to accompany them. You can’t be treating us to trash when there’s a lot happening in the world – stop it!

    • Zambians, Leave her alone. Not bad and she looks local and descent?? remember Local is Lucker…. go Mama Lungu Go.. don’t listen to jealousy people.

    • @ ?TheEngineer (Australia now Germany)

You and your generations on earth shall forever be slaves to other people. You shall never see the good that the Lord has put before the humble because of your disobedience. You will toil and sweat but never see the fruits of your hand.

This humble lady is great in Gods eyes and all blessings shall be her husband and the family for God lifts up the poor and the widows.

    • Truth *****, her Husband is a Lawyer, he has been an MP for a while. She is beautiful elo bana sungapo Bokosi. She is probably more beautiful than your wife, girlfriends and sisters. Only competition is my president young Edith Nawakwi.

    • Go Esther. Don’t listen to these jealous haters. Esther is a story of hope, we are all on a journey, one day you can be a namaliketi in Chawama and the next day you are first lady, it is the beauty of life and it keeps us all dreaming.

    • Have respect for our Honourable first lady Ba Fiikaalaaa !!!

The only Descent and highly esteemed first lady i can compare Mrs Lungu to is the Late Honourable Mama Betty Kaunda..

      Respect !!

    • Iwe chi Engineer your comment exposes the self hating inferiority complex burdened imbecile you are. You despise africaness so much you associate backwardness with your staple food! How ill educated! So for you anyone who is not fit for the “modern” world of your imagination can only go home to cook nshima? Nshima is what you associate with inferiority? Stay in Australia where the racists can rightly cage you as a specimen for “primitive man pretending to be modern”

    • Iwe chi Engineer your comment exposes the self hating inferiority complex burdened imbecill e you are. You despise africaness so much you associate backwardness with your staple food! How ill educated! So for you anyone who is not fit for the “modern” world of your imagination can only go home to cook nshima? Nshima is what you associate with inferiority? Stay in Australia or germany where the racists can rightly cage you as a specimen for “primitive man pretending to be modern”

    • What is her real name? She has changed kaaa. Not the way she was in Chawama. Now she is a representable lady. Presidency can change all things

    • God works in mysterious ways. To all the chaps that are making disrespectful remarks, That’s why why you are struggling in your life with your work/ business/relationship etc….

    • I am not a fan of Lungu but leave her alone what has she done? . I don’t think the PF philosophy will help Zambia develope, with mentors like. RB, Mugabe and Angolan President , there is no hope for this presidency but worse still I see Zambia becoming more and more like a police state. Nevertheless leave the lady alone . She is just being a good decent wife.

    • Very humble and motherly – exactly what a First Lady should be. A First Lady is an embodiment of the decency, humility and caring nature of the mothers of any nation, hence the name FIRST lady. She’s certainly not a beauty pageant or a dancing queen. Am impressed and encouraged by Mrs E Lungu.

    • Forget about the 7th Lady of Zambia; Chiluba + 2, ni sangwapo kanshi Sata rightly said it. I am particularly interested in Picture number 9. I thought those Tele don’t exist anymore, long time I saw one of them. Actually the cabling at the back of that Tele is more of a DIY thing surely, at State House?

    • But ba Ester also, even carry ka black and white TV from Chawama sure? Even Mulenga Sata bout a Samsung LED TV when he became mayor!

    • Ba Engineer wosapunzila may be Bemba won’t take you anywhere but Nyana will. Nyana is an international language

    • Neo-Patriot, I agree with you that these guys are being disrespectful and must stop it, But what do you expect from people who are uncultured by their parents. These are people who are doing the same to their mothers. The have no idea of the word respect. These are the same who want at some point to govern this country. You can only imagine the type of we would entrust with power! It is for this reason I believe God will never give them a chance until they repent. You mar recall how the UPND has been talking ill about senior citizens of this country. These guys are simply sick in the head. They and their leader need a shrink.

    • Some of you are acting like headless chickens. Does it matter whether she was selling in the market. In fact that is noble. God has ordained her. If the truth be known some of you were educated through your mothers prostitution and are currently prostitutes and gigolo’s yourselves. Are we complaining! LIVE YOUR LIVES!!!! MWAWE SOME PEOPLE. ENVEY IS POISONOUS

    • @1.1 THINGS CHANGE. YOU THOUGHT SHE WAS GOING TO SELL AT THE MARKET FOREVER? YOU HAVE AMANO AYA BUTUTU SANA- NIWEBO KAMUSHI SANA. MIND YOU SHE IS NO LONGER SELLING AT THE MARKET. SHE IS OUR FIRST LADY. AND AS A FIRST LADY SHE HAS TO PLAY THE ROLE OF A FIRST LADY. JUST LEAVE HER ALONE YOU VILLAGE BUMPKINS.

    • She ugly honestly ????????????????. Chawama to state house it’s Zambia . Nsanda from vendor to minister of defence soon .

    • The one who will bring vipatala muma Hospitals ? you must be joking .NOTRA you are a F.OOL ,she is an educated woman . unlike your Mutinta the uneducated who is ever shunted in the kitchen ku chitofu.

    • Hahaha, first lady is not a job, it is a previlege so you cannot say one can make a better one than the other. Let’s be sober.

    • @3 OneZed!

What will Mutinta do for Zambia when she is busy in and out of some Indian cancer hospitals nursing her cervical cancer? May be you are talking of Maureen Kakobo aka Mwanawasa HH has been relieving himself in who has officially taken over her conjugal roles.

    • @@MWENYO 3.3

You have just provided an answer to why politicians go to foreign hospitals instead of local ones: There is no privacy in Zambian healthcare facilities. When you are public figure, your medical records become public knowledge. That’s wrong ba Zambia!

We should not complain when we hear EL went to London to jog.

  1. Our first lady cool.she understand what poverty mean.my hope is let her use her position to lobby private corporations to help the underpreviledge not govt money.

    • Atasee…kwena wabechinyo saana iwe ka Planso…Your IQ amazes me a great deal…eat your azzhole if you have nothing to think about…if you are a pucy, get laid and get HIV, you aint fit to live.

    • @4.1 you have typical ZWD brains, just insults and hatred no substance… that’s why your Master HH will never rule anything and you shall die ne chikonko… Iam sure you mother has the same thing you mentioned on Planso. maggot mouth

  2. @hahahaha,be reminded that State house has cooks.A first lady is the “mother of the nation” & she can play a very important role to appeal to corporates to consider the poor in our society.I am reminded of her name sake Esther in the Bible.Wish her the best.

    • You UPND cadres need to come to terms that you lost. The First Lady can speak very fluent English. I’ve heard her on TV. Just go back and start campaining instead of all this petty talk.

    • Another unthinking imbecille who thinks you get sophisticated or educated when you speak English. Thats what your colonial master bequeathed you: a brain that tells you to imitate a white man so as to be educated. Please go get educated. You may have gone to school to pass examinations

    • Ukafwa kuli hatred, she has done nothing wrong to you .she is not in fashion police, she is ku state to work not dressing competition.

  3. Are you looking for a flashy First Lady.
Mrs Lungu is humble just as her husband.
Yes she was marketeer. So what
    Nawakwi is a marketeer too.
Those of us who have known her we confirm that she speaks very good English, speaks slowly and moderately. That is how she is.
Being arrogant or talkative like Maureen and Kaseba is not being good first lady.
Having a rich husband like HH would not make Mutinta good first lady.

    • You are 100% correct JL. Some of us started calling her the first
lady before 20th January,2015 because we know that the favour of
God is greater than the background or the appearance of a person.

Me i was very poor, but now iam ok by the grace of God and if Jesus
tarries, i will die smiling not crying.

Fipelwa na Lesa and this is the truth.

    • @ JL…lol, kwena ulicipuba saana naiwe: wacila namafi!!!…have you ever heard of the word “probably”?

I doubt though because you could have used this word more effectively in you last sentence….G9…go to night sch, its not too late

But I can construct it for you. You must sing it 70×70.

“Having a rich husband like HH would probably not make Mutinta a good first lady”.

    • @7.2 again your maggot brains at work, you even failed to construct a simple sentence using the word ”your” … I quote ” I doubt though because you could have used this word more effectively in you last sentence” … wapatula

    • That’s the more reason some will die trying in opposition and in their bitterness! Lungu, first attempt and there he is President of our great nation and his wife the First Lady just like that.

      Lesa wamaka!

    • @7.4 Can also be rewritten like this
“Having a rich husband like HH, Mutinta would probably not make a good first lady” this grammar bro from oxford university UK

    • There is no honor among thieves and please stop using the name of God in vain in the sham election results we all know were stolen. Enjoy your stolen victory in peace and stop insulting the victims.

  4. She is a decent woman from the looks of things let us respect her just like our mothers she has not done any harm to any one. I’m UPND myself but will never insult her for what?

    • Yeah, I was thinking. If our former presidents are treated as ‘presidents’ with almost equal perks and privileges, why not former First Lady’s. I mean this is really sexist and against principles of equality. As long as the woman lives with or without her husband …

I am sure Inonge must be working something out now that she is VP.

    • The EU president Jean-Claude Juncker has this to say….

“its very clear that common sense is not evenly distributed among countries and human beings”

    • Include yourself in that “human beings” your ‘hero’ Jean-Claude Juncker was talking about. Because imwe baba you are filled with “COMMON NONSENSE” to the brim—filesempauka noku sempauka!!!

    • And how did the EU president come to know about a Zambian so called engineer and his lack of common sense?

  5. Well OneZed @ 3, Mutinta is not the First Lady, Esther IS!!! Keep on groaning untill cocks come home to roost. Pompousity & showing off because you are a sweet talker wont win you votes.Humble heart thats what Esther is. No matter how many critics , she is our lovely fine First Lady.
    VIVA EL.

  6. ‘Kalonga’ you are so backwards… language is not a barrier. If the first lady cant communicate in the foreign language of ‘English’, she has the liberty of using an interpreter. You are the same brainwashed chaps who think speaking in a foreign language means you are highly educated when you lack even the simplest of skills!!

    • And have you seen a white person speak your local language or even put their child on their backs? Indeed you are brainwashed. Speaking English does not mean anything and I salute the PF Government for introducing vernacular languages in schools for our children because their acumen will really get them to great heights. Ati Australia, cleaning white mans poop and you think that’s life?

Esther Lungu is the First lady which neither of you and your generations will ever be because you look down upon the humble and the poor.

  7. Please leave out the wives of our politicians from unfair criticism. Even in political competition we need some decency and fairness. I do not think the first lady and other women being criticised here have done anything to deserve some of the unkind things being spewed on them.

  8. Pipo stop buying from street venders coz they deserve to suffer for voting without thinking & drive in Cairo road u won’t see the white coz venders are standing in between piping inside vehicles waiting to see what they can steal….

  9. I must confess, I really like First Lady Lungu’s dress sense.
Authentic for Africa, & reminds me of Late Mama Betty Kaunda, who had tons of Class, & Style.
Mama Betty was, & still is a role model for how Zambia’s First Ladies should turn out, & conduct themselves.

    • Women like Esther are the ones you marry because when the going gets tough, she ll stand by you and hold it together. She will lower herself to help wherever she can because she knows troubles in life are like mist and they will soon fade away. Thats what she did for E.L. Those of you who dont know her well can insult because you dont know who she is. She is a shining example of what a wife and mother should be to us who know her.

  10. So you think if someone is selling tomatoes, then they will remain in that position forever. He’s a God of wonders, He raises people from nothing to something. From what I have observed in this country, our next President may be is no where in the limelight.Akesa dumukilafye ati “dumu”.

  11. I am not a PF supporter, but let people be fair. In case one has nothing to write, please stay away from the keyboard. First lady has nothing to do with our politics and voting.

  12. @7.2 flag Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis
Are we competing about writing English?
    Is it necessary?
I thought you got the point I was making.
Speaking fluent or writing very good English does not make someone intelligent or look educated
French, Chinese and Japanese people have very intelligent people who can’t speak English. What do you say?
I repeat Mrs Lungu is humble and speaks English. Whether she is a degree holder or grade 1, it has no effect. She is the First Lady. Mutinta will be First Lady if HH makes it as President but I doubt if this will happen. NSANJE WILL KILL YOU. LET GO. EL IS PRESIDENT.

  13. You uncultured disrespectful UPND lot. You are such a disgrace to the nation. No matter how you feel bad about losing elections this should not allow to sink so low morally that you should take your unspeakable insults to the First lady. What is was your mother, sister, Aunt how would you feel. Sometimes I wonder how some people were brought up. Do you really come from decent families, with parents who taught you good manners, or you were just brought up without moral guidance? Please think before you comment. May God deliver you from evil.

    • Does it mean that all these people who write negative stuff, are UPND? It’s so sad what we become of Zambians, it’s all hate talk. I love the first lady’s style, truly African woman.

  14. I just love this lady, so so cool. She reminds me of my mother. NOW, do you know what I would do to you if you insulted my mother? I can go and kill your mother.

  15. I know many a farmer that became millionaires from selling tomatoes. Stupid Zambians of the UPND brand, I used to think you guys had brains, it seems only a fraction of you do. You and the PF thugs are one and the same.

  16. See what jealousy does to people. Now they are peddling lies that the First Lady is a Form 1 and a former Marketeer. They are the same people who have been telling us that Engineer Mulenga Sata used to sell dogs for a living. Lol.

  17. The Engineer ( now in Australia ) I used to think you had intelligence, but now I see you are not wise. Being learned does not cleanse one of ignorance. Also the morons that think English is superior, you are the reason Zambia is behind in growth and education, talk about inferiority complexes of the most mundane myopic kind.

    • Engineer that too shall change. Local Languages are making a come back. You and you engineering shall be left in the steam era as we go digital.

  18. First Lady looks fabulous. Very Zambian culturally elegant. Very appropriate image.

On her Chitenge choice, beautiful riotous colours. The yellow pops on top of her Purples and good colour wheel combinations. Very on season colours even here in Europe popping colours are on trend as are African prints.

Her Chitenge top, construction is with a ‘Cosset’ effect to synch in the waist and I suspect as every top American woman knows, the secret of ‘Spanx’ for that shapely look. You can’t say enough on that etiquette. Political ladies in Zambia need to learn about cosseting and Spanx. In UK they can order from Her Majesty’s suppliers, Rigby and Pellier, who are experts in the figure shapers. Her hair is wrong , 9/10 She could plait or have short straight non fussy extensions.

    • Well done LT. good idea to put a weekly compilation of First Lady Esther Lu ndu, so the nation can see her Office working for the Nation.

      Very well done.

    • Obviously I meant First Lady Esther Lungu! Gasp shock!!

I have a cousin Esther Lundu so my editor must be picking up on previous words.

  19. Yaba, inferiority complex at its best. It doesn’t mean that if u stay in Chawama then u are backwards or uneducated. Most of u UPND supporters in Lusaka live in Kanyama and the same Chawama. Let us be real. In terms of decency, what is the difference between Lungu’s wife and HH’s wife? Can we say that they are backwards, no. Both of them are decent. Most of u bloggers who are laughing at Esther live miserable lives. We can’t laugh at u becoz u are God’s creation. Let us respect one another’s status in life.

    • Let the continue hating. Continue being bitter ba upnd it won’t change the fact that she is in state house. Na next year Ifintu ni Lungu. Infact, na mu 2021 Ifintu ni Lungu. And you’ll still be hating and getting nowhere

  20. Guys, the First Lady obviously looks uncomfortable with those people, but I have a feeling that she will quickly get used to her new surroundings. State House[and being 1st Lady] is not a place where you just fit in like that [click with the fingers]. People like Dr. Kaseba settled in very well within a short period because being a medical doctor, she was well traveled. Give her a chance! If you dont believe what I have just said, try taking your mother or your wife there and see how she fares.

  21. Some people must be sick, the subject is Esther, the 1st Lady. How do you rope in HH and his wfe? Others are even saying the negative comments are from UPND, please stop it. No wonder Charlotte Scott expressed grave concerns at one time on the lurid comments women are attracting from this and other sites.

  22. Biblically, Esther is a big name and hope she matches it. The really Esther should help the president to rule for the benefit all Zambians and small circle in PF.

  23. What is the level of education of HH wife,am saying this because I attended one of the UPNDs rally her english was pathetic, mixture of tongish and nyanja.

  24. Every one who is saying had thing regarding our first lady should upload photos if their mothers so that we can say some’n about them also.because this level of disrespect is pure nonsense

  25. # 36 Very great idea….. upload your mothers’ tuma pictures here so that we see the michene, maliposa, ma’nga, jalibu, fish mongers, and kumabala infested lives. Some of you comment here simply because you are on the internet, but your backgrounds are so tambe. We know!!

  26. Heb 4:13 ‘Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account’
Mat 12:36 ” But I tell you that men will give account on the day of judgement for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned”
Jer 17:10 ” I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct – according to what his deeds deserve”
    The Lord has spoken.

  27. I detest PF because of violence and street vending and I detest the PF police force but I celebrate mama Lungu’s elevation. just hope Lungu will keep his wife. Zambians let us attack one another on ideology or polices or any bad practice of governing but let us not pull down on anyone becauese of physical looks. For kabwili and GBM yes, we can tell them to watch their weight without demeaning them.

  28. Some people can be so doe. Surely you can be so ignorant and not aware that when the president moves into state house they just move in and find everything in place. Because of hate, envy and jealousy one can go to the extent of imagining the first lady moved with that TV shown in the pic. No wonder the bemba’s say ubututu tabwakata muti. Mrs Lungu’s living room room had a better screen than that one in the pic. That one in the pic is state furniture please!!!! Take your ignorance else where. Those are the same pieces of furniture we were seeing when Dr Kaseba was there. It could even date back to the times of Vera, Maureen and Thandiwe. Hate or what Mrs Lungu is the first lady and none of your hate will change that fact.

  29. All those passing bad comments do not know the Lord, GOD. GOD can lift you from a nobody to a VIP. Leave Ba Esther alone, you are not her maker, so you cannot decide her destiny, it doesn’t matter where she comes from, the fact is that, she is one of the Blessed ones, God has lifted her to the highest position in the nation. I personally come from a humble beginning I can testify to that, I may not be a first lady but my God has done wonders for me from a simple receptionist to an admin manager of an international corporation. Trust in the Lord and you will one day feel the way Ba Esther is feeling right. God Bless you all

  30. We need to know her educational backround.Edith Nawakwi is a graduate and a farmer and obviously sales produce at markets and how about Mrs Lungu.Shes okay for Zambia but not for international standards.I really miss Dr Kaseba and Maureen.I dont think will have such first ladies of international standards.I was proud of them each time they spoke at international foras.Bushe ba mama Lungu can be free to be interviewed by international journalists?Ba Vera was free though not educated because she had a free and out going personality and desired to polish up to fit in and she did.

  31. How do you compare mama Betty of 1964 to a mama of 2015 it means we have gone backwards because our mama Betty had humble education good enough for that period which can not be suitable for 2015.We can not dress the same way were dressing in 1964 in 2015 chakana unless if something is wrong some where.

  32. very true Bafude, God can take the humble and lift them, and can take the most educated and well built the so called ba somebody to a vegetable in the blink of an eye. God does not look at where you come from or the colour of your skin or how tall you are. Every one is special in His eyes. God chose her to be the first lady one day despite where she came from, and no one can dispute that.

  33. What UPND should dig is why the out 6 first ladies 4 are from Eastern province.
If HH divorces and marry from Eastern province, he will be President in 2021.
    Am serious
