Zambia beat hosts Niger 2-1 on Wednesday night in the two sides penultimate Group A match to keep their 2015 CAF Under-17 Cup semifinal dreams alive.
Zambia’s victory was its debut win at the tournament where they are making their first appearance after losing 1-0 to Guinea in their opening Group A match on February 15.
Patson Daka and Wayne Museba were on target in the 6th and 17th minutes respectively.
Malick Saidou scored Niger’s consolation goal in the 65th minute who were eliminated following the loss after picking up two defeats.
Zambia are third on three points one behind leaders Nigeria and second placed Guinea who drew 1-1 on Wednesday.
Zambia face Nigeria in both sides final Group A match on Saturday with semifinal places at stake.
