Fwayo plays in Romanian cup game

Fwayo Tembo was on the winning side on Wednesday but it was not enough to see his Romanian club FC Astra progress in the League Cup.

The Zambian striker who recently returned to Astra after a lengthy self-imposed exile started in Astra’s 2-0 win over Steaua Bucuresti on Wednesday night.

However, Astra bowed out 3-2 on aggregate from the semi-finals.

Fwayo was substituted in the 58th minute and replaced by Romanian Gabriel Enache who went on to score Astra final goal in stoppage time.

The forward has now played in four competitive games for Astra since ending his one-and-half year exile last month following a row with the club owner in August, 2013.
