ZAMBIA offers one of the most liberal economic policies in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region which foreign entrepreneurs searching for high returns should invest in, MMD president Nevers Mumba has said.
Dr Mumba has also said that it is time for Africa to “repaint” its colours from those of its colonial masters and package for herself an educational culture that shall ultimately produce an enviable continent and reduce on donor dependence.
Speaking at the 5th Global Business roundtable annual conference in South Africa last week, Dr Mumba said Zambia offers a 50-year culture of political and social stability.
“Zambia is a natural hub land-linked by eight sovereign nations with their combined populations presenting a huge market for any business, such as motor assembly plants, to set up its headquarters in Zambia,” he said.
According to a statement by the MMD, Dr Mumba also told the meeting that Zambia is currently undergoing massive transformation ignited by major infrastructure investment into the roads and bridges to unlock its massive potential.

We admire USA , BRITAIN, GERMAN, JAPAN even CHINA even though its not a democracy. One common characteristic of these nations and those developed is that they PUT THEIR NATION ABOVE personal aspirations and interest. You will never hear a Republican visiting a different country and say bad things about America. In the recent past some members of the opposition part in one of the Scandinavian countries visited Zambia, they never spoke bad about their Government. Does it mean they are happy with every government policy in their country NO. We are all responsible for the image Zambia has outside. God bless Zambia.

The whole political landscape in Zed is bi-polar to say the least, of course not to mention the schizophrenic tendencies as witnessed in the recent behaviors of guilty MPs being adopted to re-run, or pardoned convicts demanding a return to their former fortunes. It is small wonder then that an opposition leader who reviled his opponents is now their ardent proponent… go figure. That is Zed for you, where the squeeze need not be too hard to push you to the other side.
