Mighty win first game, Green Eagles top FAZ Super Division

Mighty Mufulira Wanderers picked up their first win of the season on Saturday.

The nine-time champions beat fellow promoted side Nkwazi 1-0 away at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.

Saturday’s win came a week after Mighty ended their ten year FAZ Super Division absence with a 1-0 home loss to Konkola Blades.

Mighty secured their win in typical Shinde fashion thanks to a late goal in the 87th minute scored by Eric Chibuye.

It could have been 2-0 had defender Warren Kunda not missed a penalty earlier.

Meanwhile at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola, defending champions Zesco United beat Napsa Stars 2-0.

Winston Kalengo scored in the 67th minute and Cletus Chama wrapped up the game with the final goal in the 88th minute.

Up the Dual Carriageway at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe, Power Dynamos thumped promoted Lusaka Dynamos 3-0.

Jimmy Ndhlovu, Alex Ngonga and Ignatius Lwipa were on target in the 33rd, 44th and 65th minutes respectively.

At Independence Stadium in Choma, Green Eagles to the reins as the early leaders of the 2015 season after beating Green Buffaloes 1-0.

Adamson Mulao handed the provincial side the win to replace Napsa Stars at the top of the FAZ Super Division after two rounds of games played.
