Choma Eagles circle on Shinde

Choma Eagles coach Justin Chinama says his side must beat Mufulira Wanderers in Saturday’s away FAZ Super League match at Shinde Stadium to remain top of the table.

Eagles, who have eight points from four games, have been topping the Super League for three week.

In an interview in Kitwe where Eagles have set up camp ahead of the Mighty clash, Chinama said his club was wary of its closest rivals in the league.

Eagle’s lead was at the weekend cut to just a point by Nkwazi following their second straight draw.

“We are on top but we need to pull up our socks because we are now leading by one point.

We need to win this one against Wanderers so that we can consolidate our stay on top of the table,” Chinama said.

Wanderers are coming from a 4-1 heavy loss at Zesco United in their last match.

“This game will be interesting because they are coming from a loss so they would want to compensate for their loss.” he added.

Meanwhile, Eagles landed in Kitwe on Wednesday ahead of Saturday’s match against Mighty in Mufulira.
