Zanaco beat and topple Power Dynamos

Sports Zanaco beat and topple Power Dynamos

Zanaco have gone top of the FAZ Super Division table after ending Power Dynamos 100 percent start to the 2015 season and brief reign at the top of the table.

Zanaco beat Power 1-0 in Lusaka at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka to topple them from top spot to end the visitors five-day reign.

Salulani Phiri scored the games only goal in the 44th minute.

Power came into the match unbeaten from their opening three games of the season on maximum 9 points.

Zanaco have now extended their unbeaten home run against Power to four games after picking their third successive victory against the Kitwe side at Sunset Stadium.

Meanwhile, Zesco stayed put in 5th place after a 0-0 away draw against Green Buffaloes across town at Woodlands Stadium.

The draw came just five days after they were held by the same margin away by Nkana.

The draw favoured Buffaloes who moved from 14th and out of the relegation zone into 11th position.

    • There is absolutely no need to ask for Tenant Chilumba’s dismissal. Power has had three wins and one loss since the league started. This is not a bad record at all especially that only four games have been played so far. Let us be patient.

  2. ONE goal, TWO games, involving FOUR big teams. A very bad stat indeed, which is replicated at national team level. Or maybe our defences and goal-keeping have improved tremendously…
