President Edgar Lungu says the Patriotic Front (PF) administration has fared well in his 90 days of being in office as Head of State.

President Lungu said there is sufficient evidence for people to judge for themselves of what the government is doing to uplift the plight of the people.

Speaking to journalists shortly before his departure to Livingstone where he is expected to officially open the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) Annual General meeting, President Lungu said it is not for him to judge himself but the people Zambia.

President Lungu said the party is now settled and delivering on the promises it made to the Zambia people.

The President noted that his 90 days of being in office as Head of State has been satisfactory and that government is moving forward in delivering development.

President Lungu was seen off at Kenneth Kaunda international airport by Agriculture and Livestock Minister Given Lubinda, Lands and Natural Resources Minister Christabel Ngimbu, Secretary to the Cabinet Dr Roland Msiska, PF Secretary General Davis Chama, senior government officials and services chiefs.

The Presidential challenger carrying President Lungu left Kenneth Kaunda international airport at exactly 15:30 hours.

  1. Somebody else should have said that on behalf of the President. By saying it himself, it is what they call blowing own trumpet. Let those governed and effected judge as to whether 90 days of his presidency has impacted people as expected.

  2. Your Excellency you have earned a straight A+ on all benchmark set up by rational actors of goodwill and reality. You got it right in democratic frontier, leadership in fostering national unity, tolerance, stability, political economy and economic democracy.

    More to you!

    • Its been a fascinating take-off cognizant of the fact that you took office at a time of national crisis, when the country was desperate for a decisive pro democracy leadership with national interest to arrest polarization and instead, drive renewal.

1). You have successfully re-positioned Zambia on the international arena, realigning Zambia for a big economic diplomacy take off.

2). Re-kindled market appetite for Zambia as an investment destination of choice for partnerships and Green-fields.

3). Successfully arrested a sense of instability and political risk

4). Revamped a national passion for a mature democratic order of free competition and rule of law than that of men.

Even your jaded opponents so accustomed to being aimlessly opposing are at peace under your…

    • When is he going to stop drinking Mosi your Edgar? The only interesting thing in that picture is name called Ntomba-sana.

    • Is it based on achievements, if so which ones since the Kwacha is down, wage and job freeze still on and no signs of a people driven constitution?

    • President lungu, issue directive to army and other officials not to rush to airport. How much fuel they are wasting, how much official time they are wasting on unproductive things? Cannot you quietly come and go? Stop the rot.

    • @Senior citizen is having senior moments here, forgive him for not being factual or rather realistic with the prevailing situation in Zambia. I can see he’s commenting from the United states and he’s mistaken Zambia for the United and Lungu for Obama!!

  3. mediocre assessment from a mediocre president leading a mediocre government in a mediocre country – mediocrity, mediocrity, mediocrity!

  4. I knew this is tha man we had all been waitin 4,he has done very well in tha 3 months he has been in power, the economy is back on track, farmers r happy, made a bold decision to prevent job losses in solwezi, health sector is ok,wat mor cn I say? He is the obama of africa and indeed the joshua of our tym

    • WHEN PEOPLE SAY THE OBAMA OF AFRICA, RAINBOW PARTY (WYNTER), RAINBOW COUNTRY (RB), THE OKAVANGO OF ZAMBIA (MEANING THE BANGWEULU SWAMPS), I REALLY WONDER WHEN ZAMBIANS WILL BE ORIGINAL AND INNOVATIVE IN THEIR THINKING. OBAMA IS OBAMA. THERE CAN NEVER BE ANOTHER OBAMA. SOUTH AFRICA WAS THE FIRST COUNTRY TO BRAND ITSELF AS RAINBOW COUNRY EVEN IF IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ZAMBIA WITH A BIG AND PERMANENT RAINBOW AT VICTORIA FALLS. BUT DUE TO LACK OF CREATIVE BRAINS WE COULDN’T SEE THE BEAUTY OF OUR RAINBOW. BANGWEULU WATER LANDS IN A WAY ARE SIMILAR TO OKAVANGO. BUT SAYING THE OKAVANGO OF ZAMBIA IN A WAY TELLS PEOPLE THAT ZAMBIA HAS NOT MARKETED BANGWEULU SWAMPS AS BOTSWANA HAS. BANGWEULU SWAMPS ARE EVEN MORE CONTENTED THAN OKAVANGO. THERE ARE EVEN BEACHES IN BANGWEULU WET LANDS AND SHOEBILL.

  5. Actions speak louder than words. EL, I hope it is a well meant sentiment compliant to the reality on the ground but not a mere feedback to HH who vigorously criticised you in his ‘continouos assessment’ record which was highly criticised as a selfseeking assessment.

  6. its seems our president will b always on the move to campaign pretending he is handing over shoping malls. Only work done in 90 days is appointments, travel nd cabinet meetings. Pse reduce costs of your weekly travel by stoping service and other officials seeing you at airport. How much fuel they are wasting, how much official time they are wasting on unproductive things? Cannot you quietly come and go? Stop the rot.

  7. This is pf president! He was not elected anywhere! M. Sampa the pf candidate who got over 900 votes at Mulungushi. Mealie meal price has not been reduced, the kwacha power against major currency ($) weak. No jobs, unemployment not even tackled meaningfully/sustainably. Only pf thieves shower him empty praises.

  8. We are pleased and proud.

Zambian politics has been lifted to a higher playing field. Our country is heaving with investment and our development projects still on target and financially secured. We are getting more inclusive at all societal levels.

Our Judiciary delivering Justice. Corruption cases targeted. We have respect among ourselves restored, at least the decent are high in numbers.

The tone of Government is correct and is inclusive to all Opposition and citizens.

Long live His Excellency President Lungu.

  9. Well what do you know! The president self praising himself. Hallelujah. Praise the lord and amen! Just an FYI it’s people who determine whether you’ve done a good job or not and not even people in your party. I think you’ve done a horrible job but hey that’s me since I pledge for development and education in Zambia. I will not and do not tolerate corruption and want equality to all Zambians. But that can not happen when we have PF in power, see with PF they think they are the only ones in Zambia capable of eating, sending their children abroad to private school through the use of government resources and have friends and family hired in prominent positions. But that’s just me while I sit and want the country plummet into oblivion because the president claims he’s doing an awesome…

  10. Typo mean “watch” But that’s just me while I sit and “watch” the country plummet into oblivion because the president claims he’s doing an awesome…
