Management of Kitwe’s Moba Hotel has denied that there was any disturbance at the hotel on Wednesday evening targeted at UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema and his entourage.
Moba Hotel General Manager Ronald Ngosha also refuted reports that there was gun fire and tear gas at the hotel to disperse PF cadres who attacked Mr Hichilema and his team who were residing at the hotel.
Mr Ngosha said he has not received any reports of disturbances at the hotel on Wednesday evening.
He said what is true is that some PF youths had assembled at the hotel but were quickly pushed out of the premises without causing any damage to the hotel.
Mr Ngosha said all the doors and fittings ?at the hotel are in place and no damages have been recorded.
Meanwhile, Copperbelt Police Commissioner Joyce Kasosa says she has not received any reports of disturbances at Moba Hotel targeted at Mr Hichilema and his team.
On his Facebook page, Mr Hichilema has narrated how known PF cadres attacked him and his delegation at Moba Hotel which led to live ammunition and tear gas being fired.
Mr Hichilema said the hotel corridors were full of tear gas as PF cadres aimed at killing him and members of his delegation.

I strongly believe that HH and his entourage had some cameras and they should have taken the pictures of the culprits. What really did hh see in the corridors of the hotel? hh saw three guys coming from his behind smoking while thumping their feet to dust off their shoes. Police in Kitwe last night launched a man-hunt for a MUVI TV Journalist Njenje Chizu following an expose in which the police officers were captured on Camera together with Patriotic Front-PF Cadres who went to attack UPND President Hakainde Hichilema in Kitwe.
According to sources familiar with the development, the MUVI TV Journalist is wanted on flimsy ground of having filmed the said police officers.
The police are claiming that the Journalist should help them with investigations following the discovery of Machetes and stones in the vehicle belonging to a PF cadre.
The police officers are also said to have stormed Moba Hotel where UPND President Hakainde Hichilema was lodging and allegedly used live ammunition in the hotel corridors.

Some Kitwe Police officers teamed up with some matchete wilding PF cadres and beat up Journalists that went to cover the UPND President.
Journalist from Sun Radio and Muvi TV were targeted as they filmed PF cadres who went to disrupt UPND meeting in Kitwe.
One car carrying PF weapons was impounded by UPND cadres but the owner is reported to be on the run.
HH knows too well he is losing the next elections not because he doesn’t have solutions to Zambia’s economic problems but because he panders to the “elite”. The story he told was clearly cooked up. Where are the pictures of his injured supporters?
If I where the owner of the hotel I will be first to report any disturbances or damages to my property to the police. I also highly doubt that HH will stay at a hotel whose owner is bonafide PF. So the owner of the hotel refutes the story and so does the police. Go figure!
HH has delusions of grandeur! In his head, he already is the president of Zambia. Fellow Zambians this man will bring civil war to our country let’s make sure we vote him in next year. The man will do anything to be called president. Evil face, evil intentions!

I checked in at Moba Hotel on Monday and am still here. I saw groups of people in the hotel premises , mostly youths yesterday, who later dispersed. I don’t recall any event of apocalyptic proportions yesterday as suggested by the reports I am reading, otherwise I could have checked out by now.

Please politicians help us. What really happened at Moba hotel? As skeptics are saying can UPND produce more evidence about the violence at the hotel? Surely there sharp brains in UPND who can handle these incidents in a more dignified manner.
