Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company (LWSC) says it has reduced rationing of water in most areas in Lusaka.
Speaking in a telephone interview with ZANIS in Lusaka today, LWSC Public Relations Officer Topsy Sikalinda said that the rationing of water supply has reduced following an agreement with ZESCO to give it more electricity for operations.
Mr Sikalinda said that ZESCO is supplying LWSC with adequate power to operate its system and pump water.
Mr. Sikalinda said that due to load shedding, the company started rationing water supply in the capital city and other towns in Lusaka province.
Some Lusaka residents have however maintained that they are still experiencing erratic water supply.
Iye! kwati ku Congo sure!
This is one of the most lazy bum country Zambia. With vast amount of fresh water. I mean FRESH water both underground rivers, Lakes, Swamps, surface rivers you name it. God is a very good Father who has provided all this for Zambians but we Zambians have denied it on ourselves.
I have stayed here in Australia 9yrs and water is always flowing 24/7 but most of water bodies here are salt water. and they depend on a few water bodies and boreholes which the local water authority has dug and distributed to all houses. The sewer system is also super no soak ways as they called in zed.
But us in Zed full of so called educated people with good spoken English. Awe kuwayawayafye.
that’s GOOD NEWS. ZESCO being very pro active and kudos to LWSC management.
