Captain and midfielder Donashano Malama says Nkana are relieved to pick up their first win in two months.
Nkana beat promoted Nkwazi 1-0 away at Edwin Imboela Stadium in Lusaka on Sunday to pick up their first win since May 30 when they beat Green Buffaloes 2-0 in Kitwe.
Malama said the victory at Nkwazi will instil confidence in the team.
“The victory was fantastic as we have been working hard and not getting positive results.
To God be all the glory for the win which has given us the confidence and morale to do much much better,” the Chipolopolo midfielder said.
Struggling Nkana are 11th on the FAZ Super Division table with 22 points as at Week 18.
“The victory means a lot and not only to us players but to everyone who is part of the Nkana family,” Malama said.
Nkana are scheduled to host bottom placed National Assembly in Wusakile on Saturday.
