ENOCH Kavindele junior says he has reconciled with President Lungu’s special advisor for politics Kaizer Zulu and regretted the scuffle between them that resulted in Mr Zulu firing a gun.
In a statement, Mr Kavindele apologised to President Lungu and the people of Zambia for the embarrassment that his altercation with Mr Zulu has caused. “I apologise most sincerely for the embarrassment caused to his Excellency the President Lungu; our fellow citizens, families and friends,” he said. Mr Kavindele commended the Zambia Police Service for their efficiency and professionalism in handling the matter.
He said that for the sake of peace and goodwill, he has withdrawn the complaint against Mr Zulu. And Governance Activist Maurice Malambo commended Mr Kavindele Jr for withdrawing the criminal complaints against Mr Zulu. Mr Malambo said President Lungu demonstrated good integrity and accountability by allowing the police to freely interrogate and arrest his advisor.
“I want to reiterate and advise all State House officials to conduct themselves above board as some people wanted to use this incident as an opportunity to attack President Lungu, who has in this case demonstrated integrity,” he said.
Mr Malambo said the shooting incident was highly unfortunate and citizens must at all times refrain from such conduct.
Meanwhile, Lusaka Province police commissioner Charity Katanga said in an interview that Mr Kavindele and his brother wrote to the officer-in-charge at Woodlands Police Station informing him that they had reconciled with Mr Zulu.
Ms Katanga said the case had been withdrawn informally, though the process of formal withdrawal had not been exhausted.
It is Edgar who should be embarrassed and watch-out for those thugs he can’t get lead-off, the likes of Kaizer and Chama. If PF had a cartel, that is the real cartel right there in Edgar’s office building.
Enoch Kavindele Jr should even change his name for embarrassing the Kavindele family for being such a coward to be threatened by gang leader Kaizer.
Ok, Kavindele has withdrawn the case. That is fine we shall speculate. How about the positive results of the search at Kaizer’s house Police Chief Katanga told us about? How about the false report Kaizer made to the Police pertaining to the incident. We want to see justice and equality before the law for all citizens. And this Malambo guy should leave Edgar out of this.
The next honourable thing to happen is either Kaizer resigns or the President fires him.

This is all trash. As others have already said, there is something fishy in all of this and it makes the work of the highly compromised PF police more confused and complicated. Can somebody tell me something, if Kavindele Junior withdraws his complaint, does it change Kaizer’s actions and make them legitimate for the President to still retain him as his advisor? Does he still desire to surround himself with people of such integrity?

I trust the judiciary is still independent enough to pursue this case that has to do with apologies. This also explains the nuisance in Zambia when victims apologise for being harmed.
So two married men start an argument at a hideout hotel in the early hours on a weekend where one discharges a firearm in public; a few days later one is arrested, his house searched firearms recovered. Now one decides to drop the case…. there is more to this story, knowing Kavindele Junior one can add one and one here and conclude there is a young woman in this equation. In fact even if Junior decides to drop the case I do not think it can change anything as this is not a civil case…the police should come out and clarify this.

He committed a criminal offence against not just Zulu but the Zambian public.

You may be on to something there, as Lazy Edgar shielded this Kaizer from ACC when there were serious allegations in the past involving misappropriation of millions of taxpayers funds.
Now this leaves the unprofessional ZP and the silly Charity Katanga in a very tight corner again.
