Mr. Lungu said government is aware of the many brilliant ideas from all sections of society that can contribute positively to the development of the nations.

He has however urged all Zambians to work together in national building and not to seek political success on the back of national failure.

  1. MOST ZAMBIANS DID NOT LET THEMSELVES BE USED IN THIS PARADE. INSTEAD OF DOING THEIR JOBS THESE LEADERS ARE GATHERNG THEIR FOLLOWERS FOR A LITTLE SHOW OF RELIGIOSITY TO THE WORLD. WE ARE JUST LOOKING ABSURD. HOPING TO TURN AN ECONOMY AROUND WITH HYMNS AND HYPOCRISY. OFCOURSE WE WILL HAVE THE USUAL IFINTU NI NONSENSE GOING ON. JUST DO YOUR JOBS AND LEAVE GOD OUT OF YOUR INCOMPETENCE. IF REALLY THESE PRAYERS ARE OF THE FAITHFUL THE SITUATION WILL START TO IMPROVE IF NOT WE AEE IN DEEP TROUBLE.

    • What a turn-out! I now completely understand why HH will never be a Zambian president. Zambians are scared of their own shadows and it will take the second coming of Jesus to tell them HH is not a $atani$t! Zambians would rather eat dirt than usher someone into state house with questionable religious beliefs!

    • Is that what you call a turn out? in a city of maybe 3 million people you have a few thousand religious pretenders ati its a turnout. Be serious!!!

    • @Dalitso, God te wiso, what do you know about God? Who told you God votes in Zambia?
If there was reconciliation then you better reconcile with HH and stop fyononwena on a Sunday the 18th the day of prayer and reconciliation.

    • You know nothing about the grace of God, how can any normal human being leave God out of anything especially country affairs.

    • All the surviving presidents are from Malawi Province (Eastern), i.e. Super Ken, Ala Bee and Jamasoni. Abena Malawi ndibopusa maningi!

    • so only 3 peoople reconciled ,,, KK, RB and Chagwa,,, strange!!!r,,, and what about this Dove business, is chagwa now like Noah??

    • Chiluba declared Zed a christian nation. Chiluba even cried when he did a prayer for Zambia. But deep down inside he knew that he was pamano yakwiba. This same holi man stole from Zambia. Bought himself containers of designer cloths at an expense of people. Chagwa too is a thief. so wait and you will see.
Now compare Australia, with more than 75% atheists, a country although has many water bodies but they are all salty water but the country is developed. Not because they steal from Zambia but because they are committed as one. The culture of Australia like many western countries is oneness and non dependent on others for your own troubles or issues and that is what lacks in us. In Zed you have these relatives who do not even want to concentrate at school in high school, once they finish…

    • Too much superstition in Zambia, while progressive countries are focused on improving the quality of life of the citizens, Zambia is distracted with superstition.

    • For the benefit of the younger generation. When KK started releasing doves at public rallies our economy got worse and worse until MMD took over in 1991.That crowd is nothing compared to the number of people that attended the UNIP Kafue Roundabout rally a day before UNIP was booted out of power.

    • Lots of Zambian are overdosing on religion whilst theirs “leadership” (lol) are under constant overdose of “power”.

    • @Chili_K, Karl Marx who is dead now and the Soviet Union and now Cuba and China his died hard proponents of his ideals have fully embraced God … They have all realised that it is him who was smoking opium and not the masses

  2. Ba Lungu naimwe. That is like telling Dorah now that the prosecutor won’t go ahead with her case. You have already made her minister. We all know that That means forget the case.
Today is Sunday. For your information In Zambia we don’t work on Sunday. Why are you decreeing it a public holiday? We haven’t gone to work because it’s a Sunday. Are you out to impress God?

    • The day declared is 18 October and not Sunday. This year the day falls on a Sunday, next year it will be on on a Tuesday (on account of leap year)

    • Gregory and Sponge Bob read your country’s laws. The day cannot be declared a holiday henceforth. It was only a holiday on Sunday. Lungu doesnt have the power to declare the kind of holiday you are looking for. A holiday affects a nation’s GDP so you just dont wake up and declare a holiday. You debate it in parliament. Industry has already complained that there are too many holidays in Zed

    • Thank you Uwatambile Baskopo. Most people can’t think beyond their noses. They like being spoonfed with reasoning

    • Thank you wewatambile Baskopo. Most people can’t think beyond their noses. They like being spoonfed with reasoning

  3. “He has however urged all Zambians to work together in national building and not to seek political success on the back of national failure.”

Surely does this lazy bum know what a multi party democracy is? Is this bum really a lawyer by training?

    • WEWATAMBILE BASKOPO, NOT ALL LAWS ARE DEBATED IN PARLIAMENT. HAVE YOU HEARD OF DELEGATED LEGISLATION/SUBORDINATE LEGISLATION SUCH AS STATUTORY INSTRUMENTS , BYE LAWS OR EVEN PROCLAMATIONS OR PRESIDENTIAL DECREES, LET ALONE JUDICIAL PRECEDENCE? ALL THESE ARE LAWS PROPERLY BINDING ON CITIZENS BUT ARE NOT DEBATED IN PARLIAMENT.

      GOD BLESS!

  4. I don’t whether to cry or laugh, honestly. How backward are we. No wonder we are one of the poorest countries in the world.

    • Do you even know where that word “Amen” was derived from? Do you know who Amen-Ra (or Amon-Ra) was or is? A god in whom Amen and Ra were combined: the god of the universe and the supreme Egyptian god during the period of Theban political supremacy.
The Romans heard the Egyptians saying this over and over in prayer to the Gods and they copied it today you are ignorantly saying it totally oblivious to the fact that it was stolen from your own ancestors after they banish your Gods.

  5. By fire, by ghost nayula, malaria yamukonke FIRE!!
In Zambia boosting about being educated doesn’t and will never get one to State House… Show the mass Zambians you love God and DON’T question anything said in his name, you are State House bound…
Disagree with Notions about God in Zambia, and weather you u-turn in the near future and claim you never said anything to give conditions to God at your political peril!!

    Kayamayo!

  6. Emotionalism at its best!!!! Does this mean no corruption and more equitable distribution of wealth from today? And I guess more tax exemptions for the church kudo’s ba pastor smart guys!!!! mafia panshi. My personal walk with Christ has revealed God expects hard word at all levels of society. Also God expects us to think and plan!!! Surely our brains are there for a reason!!! My goodness surely actions speak louder than words and tangible progress (development) represents outputs of hard work. Politicians are trying to invoke emotionalism which is incapable of moving Zambia forward!!!! Oh cry my beloved country.

  7. Thanks be to God in heaven for the nation of Zambia.
God bless Zambia and rid the Nation of evil and hatred.
God bless President Lungu. We pray in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. .
    Amen

  8. Here is one thing, the best has been said, the best has been proclaimed and GOD has heard issue lay before the alter. We ought to wake up anew to the sought issues before GOD. Our minds, our strength, our physical attitude should align in the packaged we tendered before GOD. if you are a hurting person. you just missed that train

  9. This is what PF clowns are good at.

    Renaming airports

    Creating new districts

    Borrowing money

    Bye elections

    Declaring a day or prayer

This is what PF HAVE FAILED at

    Mealie meal prices

    Creating jobs

    Load shedding

    Water shortages

    Kwacha depreciation

    Constitution

    Corruption

And Lungu says he has made NO MISTAKES!

  10. President Lungu should declare a national day of working hard…national day of anti corruption…national day of anti nepotism..

  11. Everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty. That is the rule of law not yours but the peoples’ law. I am not a fun of Dora and the influence of RB in happenings in the PF party. What a shame! I finally believe what is called a ruling click. This must never be allowed! We are recycling failed politicians… sad and sad indeed!

  12. THE DANGER IN THE MED.IOCRITY AND COMEDY THAT TOOK PLACE TODAY AT THE AGRICULTURE SHOW LIES IN THE FACT THAT NONE OF THE PROMISES AND EXPECTATIONS WILL TAKE PLACE. PEOPLE WILL EVENTUALLY START LOSING FAITH IN GOD LIKE IT HAS HAPPENED IN EUROPE. THIS PRAYER DAY, IN THE CIRCUMSTANCES IT WAS HELD, WILL NOT CHANGE THE LIVES OF ZAMBIANS FOR THE BETTER. THE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL SITUATION WILL ACTUALLY GET EVEN WORSE. WHAT WILL THEN BE THE PERCEPTION OF THE PEOPLE?
MANY WISHES WERE EXPRESSED WHILE NO CONFESSION WAS DONE, NO REPENTANCE TOOK PLACE AND NO RECONCILIATION HAPPENED. THE STATUS QUO WILL CONTINUE: CORRUPTION, NEPOTISM, ABUSE OF POWER, ABUSE OF INSTITUTIONS, LIES, STEALING AND ABUSE OF PUBLIC RESOURCES, TRIBALISM, POLITICAL VIOLENCE, ETC. WILL NOT ONLY CONTINUE BUT WILL ESCALATE…

  13. NA BA KAWALALA FULL PA PODIUM!!
I thought a good start for reconcilliation would be for some of these Ex- Leader Con / Crooks, to bring back the Money they siphoned from our state coffers while they served in office, to the suffering, & dying masses.
However I guess that would be too rich for these “God fearing reconcilliation seeking Children of God”
ZAMBIANS, YOU HAVE BEEN WELL & TRULY HAD!!

  14. there is little hope for our people with such mediocre leadership and discipleship. “the white man has put a knife on the things that held us together, and now we have fallen apart”. our culture, our language, our names, our beliefs, our religion are all forgotten. we have spat on the morales and standards of our ancestors. we know follow the imposter. And we think we can develop and be independent at the same time?

  15. Kagame banned plastics, ordered cleaning actions by all and leads by action – Rwanda is on a roll and ever more a gem of positive energy in Africa and is far better reconciled after the genocide than South Africa or Angola – stop the hypocricy…cleanse your spirit by DOING honest and egalitarian WORK! Prayer won’t solve ANYTHING material, a functional UTH or morality would have saved the siamese twins, NOT HYPOCRITICAL PRAYER by masses of false prophets and believers – sad state indeed!

  16. We prayed! We fasted! We left our requests before JEHOVAH!
Whether He answers US or not, is up to Him. But we shall trust Him.
I only pray that you all live long enough to come and laugh at us for trusting God or to come and watch as He prepares a table before us in your presence.

  17. We thank you the president ,let him lead us another two terms he is a good leader according to John chapter (10) He is leading to Jesus Christ not to money and riches without Christ.

  18. That’s all what these *****ss wanted. Now every time you speak of their failure you will be regarded as ungodly. No wonder Zambia remains one of the poorest countries in the world, it’s got stupidd citizens who are easily duped. Chiluba played that card when he declared Zambia a Christian nation then started stealing. Do you think God will answer the prayers if you make no adjustments to policy and keep the same inept and corrupt leaders. Just the other week this president went to New York with one of the largest delegations and hired a private plan to and from the UN.

  19. To all anti Christ,
Thank you for your mediocre comments and keep it up for your total diminishing existing quite soon. You see even hh your big-brain had to at last give in and attended the prayers…and not attended alone but urged you his supporters to attend too. If you still don’t appreciate this great beginning of the “Day of prayer for Zambia” please reduce your noise and do your work quietly. After all of you are foreigners in foreign lands. Fight your battles wherever you are & leave Zambia to the Real Zambians. We have a God to serve and he shall bless us as a nation. From now onwards…no mre BA agreement…no more secession of any part of Zambia as the new Constitution now to be adopted states…no more indoshi ukufwaya ukuteka abana ba Zambia twakana.
    We the Zambians…

  20. To all anti Christ,

We the Zambians thank God for answering the prayers those offered in Lsk and those affered elsewhere.

  21. Chief Chipepo ati mineral wealth you pray to God? We have done what Congolese have done, give mineral wealth to foreigners including seemingly foolish people like Indians. Are we saying Indians pray harder? To who? They are idol worshipers. Please ba PF dont fool people.

  22. Economic vs Prayer and fasting. I have done economics and business. even simple maths, if you were not studying and enter the exams room with prayer and fasting ,you will be dissapointed. Imports are going down, Balance of Trade, Balance of payment, external debt growing………………………..stop cheating yourself. Eurobond premiums are ready to be settled, miners are losing jobs.

  23. ARE THESE NOT THE SAME PASTORS WHO TELL PATIENTS ON ARV’S TO DISCONTINUE THE MEDICATION CLAIMING THAT THE PATIENTS WOULD BE WELL AFTER BEING PRAYED UPON? NOW THEY HAVE CONNIVED WITH THE CORRUPT POLITICIANS TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE SUFFERING AND HOPELESS MASSES INTO BELIEVING THAT THEIR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC PROBLEMS WOULD BE RESOLVED BY PRAYERS. PASTORS ARE DOING THIS FOR MONEY.

  24. Honestly a number of us who are being so negative about this day need to really do an introspect of our lives. If we are really Zambians and we are opposed to prayer then there is something not real in our lives. Prayer is a way of communicating with God. When you communicate with God and make a request according to His word, we should all have faith and believe that He has heard us and will answer our requests. Please let us not attract curses upon our lives by being so annoyed with prayers

    • DUDELOVE, IT IS VERY EASY TO SAY WHAT YOU ARE SAYING WHEN YOU STILL HAVE THE BREATH OF GOD IN YOU AND YOU CAN STILL SEE THE SUN. BUT WHEN YOU BREATH YOUR LAST, IT IS TOTAL HORROR AND ANGUISH!

I PRAY FOR YOU THAT MAY YOU COME TO THE SAVING KNOWLEDGE OF CHRIST BEFORE YOUR DAY COMES

  25. @ jay jay, dudelove,I pray that one day,God will surely forgive u and make u believe that he exists and loves u.I had a Zambian friend in the diaspora who had such absurd beliefs like u,but now is a converted christian.I wish u well in jesus name.
