Power Dynamos have announced the death of their ex-defender Michelo Malawo.
He died on Tuesday at Kitwe Central Hospital after an illness.
“It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our ex-player Michelo Malawo.
Michelo passed on at Kitwe Central Hospital in the early hours of Tuesday 3rd November 2015 following an illness,” Power secretary Ricky Mamfunda said in a statement released on Wednesday.
Uncapped Malawo joined Power from Ndola United in 2002.
In 2005 Power discharged him on medical grounds following a serious injury he sustained during a league match against Nchanga Rangers.
Funeral is being held at his residence in Ndeke, Kitwe.
The deceased is survived by a wife and four children.
