Zambia and Sudan storm Ndola for Sunday decider

Zambia arrived back home on Friday after Wednesdays win over Sudan for the quick-turn-around 2018 World Cup qualifier.

George Lwandamina’s team landed at 14h00 at from Khartoum via Addis Ababa at Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe Airport in Ndola.

The team were on the same flight as opponents Sudan as the countdown for Sunday’s second round, final leg match who lost 1-0 at home.

“It won’t be easy, they (Sudan) are wounded and we have to approach it with the seriousness it deserves,” Lwandamina said.

The team were joined by Israel-based striker Evans Kangwa who arrived in the country on Thursday.

Chisamba Lungu has not traveled for the match and Lwandamina refused to discuss his status.

Meanwhile, Zambia hit training just after 16h00 at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola where Sundays qualifier will be played.

Sudan trained from Arthur Davies Stadium where they are camped in Kitwe.
