The ruling PF has continued with its onslaught on western diplomats in Zambia with party Deputy Spokesman Frank Bwalya stating that the American government has not done anything for Zambia.
Mr Bwalya claimed that the only investment that America has made in Zambia is the construction of its Embassy building in Lusaka.
“The biggest infrastructure, in fact I shouldn’t say “the biggest” but simply “the big” infrastructure the Americans have built in Zambia is their own embassy building,” he said.
Mr Bwalya said this in a post on his official Facebook account.
“Looking at this from the perspective of cooking we can say the food the Americans cooked in Zambia was eaten by themselves. But the best meals the Chinese have been preparing in Zambia have been for our people. So the Americans have done nothing for us? No. The point is that their big investment in Zambia is their own embassy. So what? Nothing! Just stating a fact.”

First, in the Education Sector, the US has provided scholarships to certain promising students right from the time of the struggle for independence. Western education is useful and it is being put to good use in many countries, including China. Second, the US is active in the Health Sector where all levels of healthcare are benefiting through training, treatment, equipment, drugs, etc. Third, the US provides development assistance through private initiatives, including the Churches and other Non Government Organizations. If the statistics are not available at the Embassy, then these can be obtained from the Zambian government and NGO community in the country.
