No Foreigner will come and stop the Violence In Zambia-Tayali

I am still gathering facts and organising my mind on the issue of violence especially concerning Youth Day.

As I am doing that I come across a posting by Masheke Akashambatwa lobbying people to petition the International Community against Zambia for violence allegedly perpetrated by the Police and PF.

The first question that comes to my mind when I see such suggestions is what is the objective and expected outcome of such a campaign on Zambia and it’s people.
I wonder how the international community will come to end violence in Zambia when the big powers such as America, Britain and France have created more violence, trauma and deaths in African and Middle East than they have brought peace.

Let’s look in the history of Africa and the current times, who starts the wars and fuel it? Who supplies the weapons Africans and Muslim use to kill each other?

Isn’t the same International community in the of fore front of dividing nationals in the guise of planting democracy just so that they put their puppets into leadership?

Look around the World and see the violence going on, can you compare it to Zambia? Yes violence, even in its minute state, is bad and must be condemned but people like Akashambatwa must not exaggerate the situation.

If we are Zambians, let’s be proud of our peace which does not even exist in America or Britain among other Countries, where guns are all over, people living in constant fear of bombs because of treating Muslims like house flies which need to be wiped out with all weaponry sophistication such as dromes.

In Zambia foreigners walk in the middle of the night from nightclubs and restaurants back to their luxury hotels with no one harming them. Yes we have had a few incidences on some Foreigners and locals but surely that is no reason for the Country Representatives to issue Red alert to their nationals just to disadvantage us on international crime and economic ratings.

I am sorry to the victims of violence especially for yesterday but WE CERTAINLY DON’T NEED THE AMERICANS, GERMANS, BRITONS FRENCH OR ANY OTHER FOREIGN COUNTRY TO SORT OUT OUR PROBLEMS, we can handle our situation.

Akashambatwa and other people like Larry Mweetwa and Mwamba Payne should be thinking of how to help bring development in Zambia by showing to the World that Zambians are good people because that is what we are, including themselves otherwise they would have been deported but now they are even enjoying dual citizenship.

Zambia is the best Country to invest in because here we have democracy which works and it has been proved in the 50 years of our Independence and change of power from one leader to the next for 6 times. This year we will have peaceful elections again and life will continue as usual.

Of course tempers are fraying because we are in a political competition time just like in European football where fans exchange punches and throw bottles at each other while police fire rubber bullets (which we don’t have due to budget constraints), water canisters to dispense crowds during a match.

None of the European raises to lobby the European Union to intervene, so why do Akashambatwa and others want us to go to them.

Our African representatives in Europe and America don’t even dare say a word when there are racial or other meditated shootings of innocent people, but here we give these Ambassadors red carpet Headlines for whatever they say even if they came yesterday in the Country and hardly understand anything. America and Britain have relatively new Representatives but look how talkative they are in spite of not necessarily having the competence.

We are not anemical to advice but our dignitaries should know that they are our guests and we respect them but they should reciprocate the gesture instead of posing as our masters just because they help us. They should also remember how they exploited us in the past so a bit of help now should not cost our sovereignty.

Akashambatwa, when are we going to be mentally independent? Isn’t the food we eat which is a problem? Anywhere I will be back.

  1. You can’t even agree that there is violence and think it is exaggerated… That’s why the other guy wants a foreign broker.

I don’t think we need a foreigner to stop the violence. We just need a president with a functioning brain, who does not have a penchant for violence.

As ED entered the arena with panga gladiators surrounding him, he believes peace is achieved by silencing opponents, having no opposition, taking no responsibility for failure and getting all the credit for any success. A recipe for disaster.

    • Well articulated Tayali! FYI, South Carolina where Masheke is dreaming from has more serious violence than Zambia. I laugh with disgust at those in the business of padding the world map for saviours of own national issues. What is your role or when are you going to become a problem solver yourself? What do you expect from foreign Government’s when themselves are trapped in own endless national and communal quagmires? See what is happening daily at Trump rallies and across communities in cities and states. See where the likes of JFK, James A. Gartfield, William McKinlet, Abraham Lincoln were forcefully put into eternal silence, yet their country never go padding on the map for foreign solutions. Mature up and take own responsibility. Our problems are not insurmountable that we should…

    • At least Masheke is doing something what is Tayali doing about violence himself if his solutions are better.

  2. Oh bloody nonsense you shameless Tayali! You are discouraging peaceful efforts to put pressure on leaders to stop violence? Just what is your objective. Why do you people tolerate violence and blood shedding!?

All efforts to stop violence, including petitioning to church to speak up, petitioning donors, and petitioning even state house must be more than welcome before any further lives are lost. But you seem to oppose this?

Just what is your problem Tayali? What is your problem?

  3. How I wish when UPND comes into power that they could find a legal case against this imbecile, so that he is locked up in jail and taught a lesson. Surely, he must be carrying some skeletons in his closet, in one way or another. Such unprincipled characters are an affront to democracy and fair play. Additionally, there is need to enlighten the so called funders of his so called organisation about this fake civic organisation, so that they can cut out their funding.

    • This is what Zambians can expect. Revenge, another cycle of violence. We really can’t walk blindly into this group of peopl.

    • @Parrot Abroad: your Bemba attitude of not wanting to tell the truth is the reason why Zambia has child molesters, rapists and women beaters in homes and all is hushed up so that neighbours do not know the truth. That’s not clever. That’s why you are mental retards. Society cannot change if there are no whistle blowers to tyranny and mismanagement. Don’t blame the whistle-blower. Blame yourself and Lungu for going in the wrong direction and perpetrating violence and corruption. Really

  4. It’s sad to see unpatriotic Zambians talking down their country. It’s shameful that HH has used these desperate measures to get power. People celebrating interference will come to see how citizens of this country will be pitiful slaves again. There is nothing good about HH. Zambians will cry when even worse Tribal violence is played out.

    • Your hatred for HH will kill you very soon. You can’t just make any comment without talking about HH. Why can’t you talk about Lungu who is fueling the violence against innocent people. He is not the one caused you to be destitute.

    • This person called Patriot Abroad has brain of a chicken. Instead of condemning violence, he shows his hated for HH. How patriotic is he?

    • Listen, you, urine soaked bed sniffer, stop stalking me and find yourself a new friendvtomplay destitute with. I can hate whomever I want.

      It’s getting old and tiring.

  5. @(un)Patriot Abroad
How does HH come in the picture here? Have you conceded defeat already to HH? Please dont mourn (un)Patriot Abroad, HH shall surly takecare of your people in Zambia in the manner that you will feel cursed that he came too late caused by your foolish thinking!

  6. What has HH to do with thugery behaviour. In January 5 PF cadres were sentenced to death for killing a UPND cadre and these voilence has the blessing of ECL. In Chipata, 2 editors were almost killed by PF cadres and the list is endless. PF will be caged come 11th august

    • You forgot about Choma,Bweengwa and also Mazabuka where a musician was almost lynched!Of course to UPND that is NOT violence. Its only violence when PF is involved te?

  7. Aletinokuti…………..” In Zambia foreigners walk in the middle of the night from nightclubs and restaurants back to their luxury hotels with no one harming them.” Uhmmmmmmmm………….

MEANWHILE- Most Zambians are harrased and arrested for loitering after 21:00 hrs like they are not at home!!

  8. Editor,
    1. They claim to be pro-poor people, yet PF removed subsidies on food and fuel in the early months of attaining power.
    2. They followed this by increasing their salaries twice before imposing a wage freeze on civil servants.
    3. They call other parties tribal but their cabinet in the last four years has been dominated by same region and so have their recent filing of applications for nominations for 2016.
    4. They claim to be consultative but keep changing and reversing policies when stakeholders complain.
    5. They claim to be distributing development equitably but built two universities in one district.
    6. Edgar Lungu wants to empower women to leadership positions, but he is the one who instructed his MPs to shoot down the proportionate representation clause in the new…

    • I have been trying to comment on this opinion but LT will not pay any comments. PF are a bunch of blatant liars and misfits who have abused Zambians. Only masochistic gullible tribal¡sts will vote for more suffering from PF.
      #ChagwaMustFall

  9. Tayali why is it so hard for you to call the PF out whenever they unleash this type of violence? I can imagine the kind of vomit that you would have skewed if this had been perpetrated by UPND youth. And you wonder why you so regularly get roughed up?

  10. This is typical African nationalist nonsense. The west will sell you guns but Africans are mad and stoopid enough to turn them on each other. Africans have sold each other as slaves for beads and cowry shells for centuries. Don’t blame the fisherman for taking the bait. Lungu and PF are playing the typical African game of winner takes all and the loser has no place at the table. That’s why the losers blow up the table and you end up with Somalia or DRC. Wisen up, you talkative monkey.
    #ChagwaMustFall

  11. And the list goes on and on and on hence the strategy of silencing his opponents with violence and intimidation to scare the week but he shall be shocked because the resolve has already been made to remove this govt that has had no vision from conception..
All this talk of lungu stopping violence is a feeble his actions speak louder than words and he will not put a stop to it, He is playing the catalyst. He should be given an alitmutum by all the opposition parties to stop perpetuating the violence by his party cardres and state operatives maiming innocent abiding citizens practicing their democratic rights which ever way they deem fit.We are yet to see a leader who rise above all this nonsense that has been passed on by previous govts except for Mwanawasa who tried to extinct the vice…

  12. Opposition show solidarity to each other for the sake of mother Zambia come together for the common good of all the peace loving Zambians u are the only greater force that can end this violence if you show solidarity to one another.Today it’s Pf tomorrow it might be Undp mmd and other parties that might form govt in the future who will try and use the same vice and tactics to hang on to power or seek avenge on their aggressors of today.Lett the opposition lead the way United and speak and denounce violence with one mouth piece declaring one message that is zero tolerance not speaking from their respective platforms, but having all party spoke persons comimg together and making one United pronouncement then the incumbent will know that u mean business and clearly leave them as the…

  13. They will be found wanting and the majority out there will vote them out come August Zambians should allow this cadrism to go out of hand to perpetuated by every successive govt that comes to power.

  14. Should not allow this. Cadrism to bring turmoil to our beloved country. My constituency is mother Zambia and the ideals that will make a better country not electing to supporting blindly for the sake where the wind blows strongest

  15. Violence is bad, and must be condemned whenever and wherever it shows up. Yet, it should be clear that political violence emanates from intolerance and state security machinery being biased. The appeal to other international bodies is to ask them help address these injustices which ignite violence, and nothing wrong with that.

  16. Tayali obviously must be intelligent enough to understand that Lungu alone can bring about peace in the nation today if he wants. But Lungu doesn’t want that! This is plain enough even to those with half logical minds. Lungu believes sincerely that he won’t win the elections but he desperately wants the presidency even though he doesn’t know how to govern the nation. He knows also that the violent cadres can help him remain in power by allowing them to cause so much violence that he will declare a state of emergency and cancel the election. That’s Lungu’s plan and that’s why he is abetting the violence and probably actively directing it behind the scenes. Every one can see that except Tayali.

  17. Anyone arrested? The police where there. All you report is clash btn upnd and pf instead of saying pf beat up upnd shame shame. It clear shows that someone higher sent those carders. Otherwise we could have heard someone directing police to arrest people. Shame shame

  18. Comment:Bravo!Bravo!Chilufya Tayali.
I think for the first tym this year u have said right words.
I certainly agree with u that a foreigner canot and will not end violence in another country.Western countries espescially super powers are the pipo that plant seeds of division which later culminates in2 violence.
Peace should be guardad by the indegenous of any particular nation.jst like development the owners of a country should rise up and make change. The soul purpose of the west here in africa is to exploit our natural resources.Neo_colonialism is a strategy that has bin adobpted seeing that africans lack capacity to think. In the abundance of water but pipo are thirsty.i fail to comprehed this phenomena hw a continent that is blessed with so much natural resources but carring a tag…

  19. GATHERING FACTS MORE ESPECIALLY VIOLENCY WHICH OCCURRED ON YOUTH DAY. TAYALI PF HACKED PEOPLE FULL STOP. WHAT AR U GATHERING YOU MANGWAMU

  20. This PF cadre is becoming useless each day. You have the audacity yap yap against the West while enjoying Western money. Would this si-l-ly boy have written the above crap if it was his sister who was undressed by the PF cadres? Would he have written the above crap if one of his sisters or brothers was injured by the PF kaponyas?

  21. @18 Sam Imusho, You are so right.
Western countries……….. Americans, germans, britons, french, etc, etc are always at war. If not amongst themselves then they pick another country as a battle field. They are so happy to see countries like Zambia in situations like this, and they indirectly encourage it ( meeting people like HH who always runs to them like a cry baby). Still in the colonial hangover where you think a white man is always right

PF and UPND are both violent parties. UPND starts the fire and always wants to blame PF when they are beaten.

  22. a major charateristic of under five politics/behavior is to make irrelevant and often ill timed commentary even on obvious projections from well meaning citizens. honestly how does anyone in their rightful mind accuse govt. or police of harassment for ‘loitering’ after 21 hrs. loitering means moving aimlessly and to any alert officer you could be a thief or marauding rapist.tayali has a point and just like most peace lovers he cannot do more other than believing in the police to do a good job.
