Democratic Front President Miles Sampa has been ejected from the Orange Alliance where he was serving as President.
The development was disclosed by Orange Alliance Chairman and NAREP leader Elias Chipimo who explained that Mr Sampa and the Democratic Front are no longer members of the Orange Alliance.
On January 29 2016, the Democratic Front, NAREP and the Fourth Revolution announced the formation of the Orange Alliance with the aim of kicking PF out of power.
The Alliance has however failed to gain popularity on the Zambian political scene especially after Mr Sampa’s registration of the DF was overturned by the Registrar of Societies.
“The Orange Alliance hereby informs the nation that Mr Miles Sampa and the DF are no longer part of the Orange Alliance following the developments surrounding the disputes between the DF and the Pf over the registration of the DF,” Mr Sampa said.
He added, “This matter is now tied up in court Supreme, Mr Miles hereby ceases to be the Orange Alliance President. All Alliance business should now be addressed to the Alliance Chairman at the Alliance Secretariat.”
Efforts to reach Mr Sampa proved futile.

The mistake Sampa made was to go into an alliance with Chipimo. Chipimo has always been parasitical on PF and this turn of events was planned by the PF.

Sampa is quite a smart and genuine guy, but he made a big mistake forming a so-called alliance with Chipimo. This guy Chipimo stands for nothing. From the time PF formed government, the guy has tried to get into PF but failed. Not long ago he announced that he was retiring from active politics, but from nowhere, he forms an alliance with Sampa. I guess the expulsion of Sampa from the Alliance is a directive from PF. Chipomo has no leadership credentials and serious minded person would work with this guy.

So they have to change Orange Alliance name then, because “Orange” colors came from DF. If they keep the name “Orange Alliance” then Miles Sampa & his DF have a right to sue NAREP and 4th Republic, and case may end up with Registrar of Societies and eventually to Supreme Court. Miles Sampa will have 2 cases then.

This is a very likely and scaary prospect. We’ve set ourselves very low standards already and we should have only ourselves to blame for what we are going to have next IN STATE HOUSE. Miles Sampa was just glorified by UPND cadres for the chance of splitting what they perceive as the Bemba vote, purely tribal as we all know but that’s how their eyes see things. Whereas we see One Zambia One Zambia others see 73 tribes with theirs at the top. Coming back to the topic, if you are analytical like me you should have noticed two things on the political scene
1. Sampa’s party died the day it was formed. Sampa himself died at the PF convention with his godfather Guy Scott.
2. The second to die politically was HH and his version of UPND, he allowed himself to be bewitched by the Post and the burial took place at Bwinjimfumu earlier this year. (The true UPND with Andy).

Not suprised this is a very shambolic alliance. Firstly its President, Miles is an oversealous wanna be, whose role as deputy minister was down to nepotism. Then theres Elias Chipuno who let down his own supporters by chickening out of the presidential race. The least of all is Eric Chanda who thinks clinging to a cross in his presidential portrait will lure voters. Most disappointing is how they went in an alliance without harmonising thier manifestos. Df didnt even have one. Shame on them

Miles Sampa walked out of the orange alliance upon discovering that one of his alliance partners Elias Chipimo Junior was a Patriotic Front (PF) plant.
Mr. Chipimo Jr. Who is president of NAREP a few months ago announced that he was not going to be contesting in the upcoming general elections. It turns out Chipimo was bought off by one Edgar Changwa Lungu in form of a $3m printing contract for election materials. In exchange Chipimo pledged to offer support to Lungu in the second round.
An inside source disclosed that despite Elias approaching Sampa for the alliance, he has been elusive and avoiding meeting both Sampa and Eric Chanda.
