This year’s Zambian Music Awards have come with a lot of controversy. Macky 2 called them a mockery and a publicity stunt aimed at marketing Zambian Breweries to partners hence it did not come as a surprise that he was not nominated in any category this year. Macky 2 further went on to say the following in a post published on Facebook after the nominees list was released:
Congratulations To My Brother SlapDee.. He Has Made History Today. He Has Been Nominated For An Album That Is Not Even Out Yet.
These Are The Worst ZMAs Since Inception. These Guys Know Nothing About Our Industry.

This is fine, one silly artist should not hold the show at ransom, Those not nominated surely are not good enough, let them prove ZMA by being nominated for KORA or better still MTV AFRICA/BET awards.You cant impress everybody,the criteria for nomination was known well before now!

This spoilt Macky chakuti is becoming a pain in the neck. he didnt complain when he won these awards. Why complain about Slap dees album. My friend fame in music is not permanent. you had your time, let others shine now. Ask JK, Danny, Kamillion, Exile, general Ozzy, Black muntu, Shatel, Nalu etc. they were hot but they handed over to you. So your time to hand over has come.
