President Edgar Lungu’s daughter, Tasila Lungu has donated more than 200 pairs of shoes to vulnerable school going children in Luangwa district.

Ms Lungu said she donated the shoes on behalf of the Pabulayo project of which she was a member and that the project will continue helping the needy in society.

Ms Lungu who donated the shoes to pupils from fifteen primary schools and two secondary schools yesterday said she has a passion to uplift vulnerable pupils especially the girl child and urged them to take education as a priority in their lives if they are to contribute positively to national development.

She also paid a courtesy call on two chiefs in the area.

The chiefs who include Senior Chief Mburuma and Chief Mhuka said it was the first time that the child of the President had taken such a stance of helping the vulnerable in society.

Chief Mphuka told Ms Lungu that the shoes will go a long way in helping the children as it was a motivation to them.

And Area Member of Parliament, Patrick Ngoma also commended the Ms Lungu for the good gesture of donating the shoes as they were a motivation to the children.

Mr Ngoma further thanked the 1st family for allowing their daughter to be involved in such a noble cause of helping the needy in society.

And during a vote of thanks, Monica Mwale a pupil at Kapoche Secondary school said as a girl child she felt motivated by the donation adding that most of them could not afford to have decent shoes.

She also said the visit was a motivation to the girl child as it had inspired them to concentrate on education and be better citizens who can contribute to the development of the country.

  1. You are on the right path young Lungu. Some despots simply want to ascend to the Presidency without any practical experience whatsoever. Under-5 (HH) can learn from you, a young one.

    • Damn! This girl got ugly feet. For a second I thought someone had photoshopped her feet with that of a guy in this picture

    • What’s wrong with pf women face fanta her feet coca cola, what lotions do these pfool women use, Kudos what’s wrong with you women, too much diprosal? They all look congole colorful like what one pf musician once sang.

    • Damn pf women vocal and congole colorful, face fanta, feet coca cola, too much diprosal. Kudos does it mean you can’t afford to get your women nivea?

    • @Ndobo Hnnnnnmmmmm you are so detailed at looking. My eyes were on the school children waiting for mocasins.
Now you make look at my friend’s Lungu’s daughter’s toes and how she has not learn to close thighs. Abana ba mutauni sure imweeee?

    • For a second i thought i was looking at the picture of a man – with muscular arms and big, duck feet!

  2. May be she is a fire dancer! Or may be the boy friend is a charcoal burner! She could have stepped on charcoal embers!!

  3. Bloggers please lets learn to encourage people who are thinking about the less privileged in society. Tasila could have chosen to enjoy the luxury of being in state house, but she has chosen to give something to someone who has nothing. Let’s not politicise everything tukule bane.

    • Stupid tom, haven’t you heard she wants to stand as councilor, this means that everything she doesn’t now is political, kula mumano mumbwe iwe.

    • This organisation might as well use Kambwili and Mumbi to distribute this…the ethos of this selfsame organisation diluted with PF since she is standing on that ticket. The US founder should find someone else!!
      wake up!!

    • @ tom

Your point about the less privileged in society has been noted. However, do you realize the cost to the tax-payer of this political propaganda? And for what? Couple dozens of shoes when increase of poverty and destitution are only “achievements” of plunderers federation in the past five years.
If anything, instead of commending Ms. Lungu for her “charitable” spirit, you should ask yourself how much we (the tax-payers) have spend on her escort, close protection, motorcade and police officers pay? Definitely more than value of the donated shoes.
      Think about.

  4. When Edgar was home affairs minister she never donated anything now after ammassing corrupted money busy donating .Please ba Tasila hold fire sooner than later u ‘ll be out with your dad and your Ester

    • This is a non profit organisation established in 2007 by a US lady called Judy Kendall…if I was her I would cut ties with Lazy Lungu’s daughter by now.

  5. What I heard today from a Western diplomat attending the American organized panel discussion in Lusaka on energy solutions in Zambia shocked and embarrassed me at the same time. She told me point blank that western diplomats were not too impressed with being feted at HH’s residence recently. She said that in a country which is supposed to have high levels of poverty, they felt that the food should have been donated to the underprivileged children who sleep hungry every day. “It tells you a lot about the man”, she said and I tell you I did not like the look and twisted mouth on her face when she said that.

    • Liar! What people need are cheaper farming inputs. The meal that was had by the diplomats would not solve anything. Why are you not talking about the money wasted at the signing of the constitution? Chartered plane to USA? These are public funds! HH used his own money!
Stop being silly and looking for handouts. ECL is in government and he must give us the solutions to the problems prevailing. If he has failed then let him hand over the reigns to someone more capable.
HH has helped develop some places where he comes from. What has Chagwa done in Eastern province or Chawama?

  6. Instead of teaching people how to fish, they will always want to donate fish to the citizens, fish which they have stolen from the same citizens.

  7. @kudos you do well by not responding to these Upnd lunatics. They are the joke of the centuary. Anyone who takes these Upnd !mbeciles should have his brain checked.

    • @ 1mbecile above

UPND supporters may need they brain checked, but such exercise is futile for you and your friend Kudos as both of you are brainless due to genetically transmitted 1mbecility

  8. TRULY, TO A CHILD THIS IS VERY MOTIVATING. WINTER IN ZAMBIA IS JUST LESS THAN 2 MONTHS AWAY WHEN (THE DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN WHOSE PARENTS CANNOT AFFORD TO BUY THEM SHOES HATE GOING TO SCHOOL AS THEIR FEET GET FROZEN. THIS SITUATION IS EVEN MADE WORSE WHEN A CHILD ACCIDENTALLY KICKS AN INCOMPLETELY UPROOTED TREE STUMP OR A HALF BURRIED STONE. TRULY, THOSE PAIRS OF SHOES COULDN’T HAVE COME AT A BETTER TIME. TWATAIZYA, MissTASILA LUNGU. THAT IS A VERY GOOD AND NOBLE CHARITY YOU HAVE INVOLVED YOURSELF WITH AND THOSE KIDS SHALL BE MOTIVATED. THANKS VERY MUCH.

  9. @Kudos you are a thorn in UPND moron’s flesh keep on hammering them, instead of responding to the topic at hand, they respond to your comments. HH has misplaced priorities instead of donating money to the less priviledged, he goes to fete the diplomats who are now laughing at him. under 5 polician!! kikikikiki!!

  10. All are God’s people whether tall, short fat or whatever shape. It is silly, for lack of a better word, to laugh at one because they are made differently from you. If you are particular on people who have feet NOT like yours, you shall be alone because not even your bloody brothers have exactly the same features.
What Lungu’s daughter has done needs to be duplicated by those who can afford. A good example of birds of a further regards this subject is Mr. Kambwili who has been doing it for some time without publicity. The food donation to the clergy was publicized even before the plates they had used were washed. Prophet Mohamed said “a good deed is one that brings a smile of joy to the face of another”. Do you think the insults can bring about such a smile?

  11. Political move! Nice one but we know the gimmicks. You and your father could have done this before the elections were near. Even the tourism minister is talking job creation! How can you employ new people when you can’t even afford to pay salaries of employees and they wait 3 months lol. Ichalo baonaula aba bantu. Yangu bali jeribula! We know about the fake LinkedIn page with degree’s, the one you just recently changed. Ubufi muleke!

  12. @Pink Toe your above statement reads: A good example of “birds of a further” ??? Are you sure about this? I would have assumed it was “birds of a feather” but I could be wrong. The same way you spelling is incorrect is the same way you analysis of Lungu’s daughter and Kambwili are. We certainly don’t need these people in politics. But thank you for your comments. The difference in skin colour is obvious in that the lady is not comfortable in her own skin. Is this what we want our young girls to feel that being light skinned is better than dark skin? Mule-tontonkanya before you speak! She bleaches her skin.

  13. 90% of us Zambian are dark like her legs ,brainwashed colonial minded and enslaved tyga what are you doing here in zed white man in a dark coat if you may like, proudly black boi .keep the good works little girl dnt even drop yo head up all this dirty talk most cant do what you have done ,lets look in the inner being

  14. This is very sad, what African leaders are doing, subject the pipo to total poverty and then send their daughters or wives around with what other people have donated to handout as though they are giving them, instead of providing jobs for these kids parents for them to buy the kind of shoes they wish their kids to have.create jobs and not handouts
