President Edgar Lungu has charged that some opposition politicians are heavily possessed with spirits of destruction and chaos.
President Lungu has since cautioned Zambians to carefully scrutinise some opposition leaders as the country heads to the polls on August 11th 2016.
He said some opposition politicians are not fit to lead Zambia because they keep talking about causing havoc and destruction.
President Lungu said this Sunday afternoon when he addressed a rally at Chilanga’s at Kalundu Basic School grounds.
“You have to be careful with some of these people because each time they open their mouths, all they talk about is evil, havoc and Armageddon. How can you entrust the leadership of this nation in the hands of such people? Zambians be careful and listen to their words carefully,” President Lungu said.
At the same rally, President Lungu instructed PF officials to use civil language as they start their official campaigns tomorrow.
He said vocal officials such as Mumbi Phiri, Stephen Kampyongo and Chishimba Kambwili should restrain themselves even when they are provoked.
“Dr Kambwili, umuntu ngami shoba ati (If somebody micks you) that you are fat like a pig, simply tell them ati iyo am just big and don’t respond to them” We have to be civil and sober in our language. Let us show them we have changed. You have to realise that the words you use even in words you can provoke people, don’t be abusive in your language,” President Lungu said.
He also accused the UPND of using social media to incite Zambians to rise against Ministers who have continued in their positions even after the dissolution of Parliament.
“They are using social media to incite Zambians, they posted a fake story about Hon Katema at Woodlands Shopping Centre. It was not true, I called Hon. Katema and he told me that he was home with his family.”
President Lungu said the law is very clear on the situation of Ministers adding that he is confident that the constitutional court will agree with his interpretation when the matter goes to the court.
“My message to Zambians is please read, Ba UNZA PF please read. The law is very clear on the situation of Ministers, it is even unfortunate that LAZ went public with a wrong interpretation. I am waiting for the courts of law to interpret whether my interpretation was correct but I am very sure I was right. To my Cabinet colleagues, don’t be intimidated, if you are in doubt consult me,” he said.
President Lungu also confirmed that the PF will next week on Saturday launch its 2016 election campaigns.
He said during the launch, he will unveil the PF manifesto for the next five years.
“The other day during the press conference, I pointed at what we have done, so leaders, go and point to what we have done because ushitasha mwanawandoshi. Don’t waste time, go and explain what PF has done in the last five years instead of using foul language or how fat or thin you are, Zambians are interested in development.”
President Lungu also announced that the PF will unveil the list of aspiring Members of Parliament after receiving reports from all constituencies countrywide this week.
He reiterated that members using money to secure adoptions will be disappointed adding that the PF is not for sale to the largest bidder.
“Those who come with money will go back with their money. I will protect PF from mercenaries. If leadership in PF was for sale, I would not have been President. Money has no place in rising in leadership levels in PF” he said.
During the same rally, the PF welcomed former UPND Chairman for Defence and Security Cosmas Moono who resigned last month.
President Lungu said, “In welcoming Captain Moono, we have caught a big fish, we have a bream whilst they have caught Chisense (Sardines).”
President Lungu said the PF has delivered on most of the campaign promises although he admittedly that not all have been delivered.
“No government can deliver 100 percent but we have done well. This is no time for experiments, frequent change of government has cost Zambia’s development. This is when I am settling down as President. I have just finished my probation and now you want a new person, someone without any experience and he will be learning on the job. I went through the all ranks before becoming President. We need to stabilise government,” he said.
“Some people were given a part time in government during the privatization process, they ended up selling your companies, now what if you give them a full time job as President?”
And Captain Moono said he is joining the PF because there is a fundamental problem in UPND.
He said, “Zambians do not be cheated, I have been in UPND for over 15yrs, they are not forming government”.
Meanwhile, Chishimba Kambwili said Zambians join re-elect President Lungu because he is the right man for the job.
“GBM is saying I am fat like a pig. Imwe kwena, Umuntu uwaina pali ine na GBM ninani? God has given us a leader who listens and has a heart for the people not bambi abafulwa kwati nabalya amafi,” said Dr Kambwili.
And Christian Democratic Party President Reverand Danny Pule said his party decided to endorse the candidature of President Lungu because he is humble.
“As a party, we are supporting Edgar because we want to win. We are now 15 political parties and we are united because we want to see the development, peace and progress to continue and the reason is that President Lungu is a humble man, man of peace, God fearing man and he has honoured the declaration of Zambia.”
Dr Pule has since called upon the Christian community in Zambia to rise and vote for Lungu.
“I worked for eight years in the Ministry of Finance and I can tell you that he has worked.

HH and UPND are losing bad. HH and UPND cant win any election in ZAmbia coz HH is an under 5. He has never been in any political position in his life rather than the one he is holding as a failed president of UPND. It is really sad that again HH is losing for his fifth time. Sad indeed.
