FDD Spokesperson Antonio Mwanza said the evidence of foreigners registered to vote is overwhelming and that the ECZ have failed to prove that they are not colluding with PF to manipulate the results.
Below is the statement issued to the media.
The maneuvers by PF to rig the forming coming elections by using Malawians to vote for them will drive Zambia into a political Armageddon consequences are too ghastly to contemplate.
There is overwhelming documented evidence that the PF Government has registered Malawians whom they want to illegally vote in the upcoming elections. We as a Party have challenged the Electoral Commission of Zambia to come clean on this very serious matter and they have lamentably failed to prove to us that they are not colluding with PF to manipulate the outcome of the 2016 general elections.
We want to strongly caution PF that they should not take the people’s pacificism for granted. The people shall not accept their votes to be stolen. They will not allow Mr Edgar Lungu and his minions to muffle their voice. Peace does not fall from the sky. Peace has to be worked for. And what PF is doing an affront to peace.
They should never forget the fate of all those charlatans who have involved themselves in electoral chicanery. They should never for a moment think that they will rum away from the long arm of the law.
We shall deal with them individually. We want to call upon all opposition parties, the church, civil societies, international elections observers and all co-operating partners to close work together and monitor and carefully scrutinise the entire election process.
There should be no UPND or FDD. We have to work together as Zambians in ensuring that the PF does not strangle the people’s will.

Mwanza you are malabishi. If you have evidence of attempts by PF, using ECZ, to rig the elections, then do something about it. And by something I mean legally do something about it. Don’t sing to me about armaggedon, take the perpetrators to court and prove that they have connived to rig the elections. Otherwise, if I was in authority in Zambia, I would lock you up for inciting and fermenting trouble in the country. There are courts in Zambia and they can rule in your favour and postpone the elections only if you can prove your allegations. Giving National Registration Cards to foreigners is a very serious security risk. You won’t know what will hit you in this country. Some of you bloggers have no brains. How do you take such an important national security issue as a joke? Real Zambian struggle to get the NRCs but it is quickly given to foreigners for the sake of a vote. Please take that evidence to court right now and ask for a clean up of the electoral register rather than wait to cause trouble after election results. If you believe there is something wrong please take that evidence to court rather than wait,participate in elections and then come after losing to demonstrate lack of credibility in the system you endorsed by participating in polls! Sometimes I get surprised with the way some half baked Zambians in their heads issue praise comments about Edgar Lungu as a ”Humble President”. Truly, is there any humbleness in Edgar or are these praises issued because of kick backs which they receive from Edgar or they are issued dishonestly because of tribe ? What substance of good leadership are there in Edgar when every day he is busy abrogating the same constitution that he is supposed to uphold ? Zambia’ s peace right now is total jeopardy and the economy of the country is fast going into the woods yet some d u n d e r h e a d s in the country cannot see this. If Edgar is given another mandate to rule Zambia, there is no doubt that this country will be in ruins.
