Togo down Zambia

Zambia on Friday lost their first game on their two match friendly tour of West Africa.

Chipolopolo lost 1-0 away to Togo in Lome in a pre-2017 Africa Cup qualifying warm-up game.

Midfielder Mathieu Dossevi of Belgium club Standard Liege scored the lone goal in the 20th minute.

Zambia have now travelled to Gambia to play their last friendly on May 30.

They will alter proceed to Bissau to face Guinea Bissau in a Group E qualifier on June 4.

Zambia are 3rd in Group E on 6 points, one behind Guinea Bissau but tied with second placed Congo-Brazzaville who beat them to the number two spot on goal difference.

  1. Lossing a friendly match helps cover up the lope holes. Westerners are better side with many professional players based in Europe the place where our strikers are chasing their shadows

  2. Losing is bad for the psyche. Moreover the fact that we lost from a 20th minute goal and failed in the very many remaining 70 minutes to reply shows we have no tactics to counter. This tells us we must not allow Guinea to go ahead and score or we will lose
