Patriotic Front Kabwata Parliamentary aspirant Given Lubinda has expressed optimism that he will return the seat on 11th August, 2016, reports Pan African Radio Journalist Hermit Hachilonde.

In an exclusive interview, Mr. Lubinda said those propagating a message that he has overstayed at the helm of Kabwata constituency, suggesting that he must pave way for fresh blood with new ideas are just wasting time and their energy because it will not work.

Mr. Lubinda won the Kabwata parliamentary seat three times and he is craving for a fourth term.

But some of his political opponents are saying fifteen years running the affairs of the constituency is too much, hence he must allow other leaders with fresh ideas to serve the people.

Mr. Lubinda has since stated that judging him based on the number of times he won elections in Kabwata constituency is outrageous.

He stressed the need to instead judge some of those political players that have lost elections several times because such a record is clear indication of failure.

”I should not be judged for winning elections three times because it will not work” He said

And Mr. Lubinda explained that he has only been a legislator under the party in Government for one term and it is imperative that he is given another chance to serve the people in the same capacity because he will use his vast experience in politics for the benefit of Kabwata residents.

“I have only been a law maker under the ruling party for one term and still want to serve” Mr. Lubinda said

Meanwhile Mr. Lubinda has appealed to the electorates to vote for him because he is now politically mature and versatile with vast his experience in parliament.

He has urged Zambians in Kabwata constituency not to replace him by a novice who does not even know the inside of parliament because it will delay developmental projects in the constituency.

“Kabwata people should not vote for a novice” he said

  1. Tell the people what you have done in kabwata apart from farting in parliament and voting for more MP perks.

  2. And what has your nearly 20 years in parliament brought to Kabwata apart from night clubs and poor drainages? Kabwata is hopeless, no services, no hope. Go well Given Lubinda, the people should not allow you to destroy Kabwata further!

  3. When Lubinda went to Parliament for the first time, he was a novice too. What has changed? Is he saying there should be no first time parliamentarians! This Parliament full of forged grade 12 certificate holders? The people of Kabwata should replace Lubinda with a new person. 15 Years is long enough!

  4. Apart from shi.ting in parliament and collecting allowances we want to know what you have done for kapata.

    • Given has done alot in Kabwata…Roads have been done (even those we thought will never be done), streets are lit, pavings have been put in place.

    • IS that your president PF? Why is dancing in church like in bar? Congregants seem to know that the stage of song is not for dancing but reflection. Song is to remember the dead, and they mention Sata.. and both Lungu and Lubinda (whom Sata fired), jump into jubilation.

  5. Huh Bo Lubinda, the first time we sent you to parliament you were a novice. Its now time to send another novice. Its normal to retire veterans like you. Its inevitable.

  6. And who should we vote for?you?a thief? I did my literature in high school and i passed it-To my comprehension,i think that a novice is better than maize thief, because he will be scared to steal. But an experienced criminal like you LUBINDA will steal the whole maize stock in Zambia and then imported maize from Brazil. So,for now go to hell pls.

  7. Very illogical reasoning exhibited by this man. And zambians in 2012-2013 were saying this man is presidential material. sure with this type of thinking. Kabiyeni tata. lets try another person for our constituency. Atleast we can make one more person rich by voting him as mp. We would have reduced the poverty level by one person if we voted for a novice. noti just piling allowances and gratuities on one person named lubinda for 20 years and making him richer every 5 years. Vote for another, atleast if he doesnt deliver, we would have reduced poverty by one person in the name of the novice mp. To me that is development enough considering we are a lost lot as africans who dont know who they are. Trying to be white in a dark skin. Pure madness.

  8. LUBINDA AND YOUR CHIEF LOOTER KAMINAMINSA CHAKOLWA LUNGU YOU WILL SURELY PACK YOUR BAGS ON 11 AUGUST. PEOPLE WANT CHANGE OF GOVERNMENT. PEOPLE WANT HH AND THE VIBRANT UPND TEAM. VIVA HH VIVA!

  9. Lubinda will indeed win Kabwata. The real question is the margin. Mulenga does not pose a serious threat because he is not from Kabwata the only risk is that Lubinda and the former PF guy could split votes.
