Power Dynamos stayed unbeaten against Nkana for a third successive Kitwe derby and moved within one point of their arch-rivals following Saturday home win.
Power stunned Nkana 1-0 at Arthur Davies Stadium to pick up two wins and a draw against Nkana.
Nkana were favourites coming into the match armed with a rich depth of players to count on over a modest Power who showed character despite their lack of technical wealth on the pitch.
Patson Daka headed in the games lone goal in the 17th minute of a first half that Power dominated.
However, drama is never very far behind Nkana on such occasions.
The match suffered a 15 minute delayed after the restart when Nkana fans went ballistics during the halftime period when one of their supporters jumped over the perimeter fence to join a troupe of Power mascots performing on the pitch during the break before he was bundled out by police.
That didn’t go down well with the Nkana fans who showered the pitch with bottles demanding their friend be returned and only then did play resume.
That incident killed any momentum the two teams had who went on to produce a spark-less display in the last 45 minutes.
Meanwhile, Power stay third but shift to 49 points, one point behind second placed Nkana after 25 matches played.
