Konkola Blades maintained a two-point lead at the top of the FAZ Division One Zone Two table following a 2-0 win over Mining Rangers at Garden Park Stadium in Kitwe on Sunday.
Skipper Dickson Chapa converted from the spot after two minutes before Kilo Mwepu scored Konkola’s second goal in the last half.
Konkola leads the table with 51 points after playing 25 matches.
Elsewhere, second placed Kitwe United thumped Zesco Solwezi 3-0 away in Solwezi to remain in the race for promotion.
Regular scorer Emmanuel Chabula registered a brace with Chileshe Musonda scoring Kitwe’s third goal.
The Buchi Boys have 49 points from 25 matches played.
Roan United remained in third place on the table following a 3-2 away win at Chingola Police.
