PF in Shibuyunji condemns UPND

Headlines PF in Shibuyunji condemns UPND

The Patriotic Front (PF) party in Sibuyunji district in Lusaka Province has added its voice in condemning the opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) for allegedly boycotting the official opening of parliament on September 30, 2016.

On September 30, 2016, all the 58 UPND Members of Parliament (MPs) stayed away from parliament during the official opening of the first session of the 12th National Assembly.

PF Sibuyunji district chairman Joseph Kasonde observed that the UPND might be rendered irrelevant if the behaviour of its MPs continues.

Mr. Kasonde urged the Zambians to support the PF, President Edgar Lungu, and to ignore the UPND.

ZANIS reports that Mr. Kasonde said this in a statement released in Lusaka today.

“The UPND is supposed to be offering checks and balances to the government for the benefit of the Zambian people and not being troublesome. Otherwise, it will definitely not be a factor anytime soon through to 2021,” Mr. Kasonde said

He has since advised the UPND to accept the post-election results and respect President Edgar Lungu as a duly elected head of state.

Mr. Kasonde has further urged UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema to be realistic and admit that he lost the August 11, 2016 presidential poll

  3. Towards 2021, pf pangas will resurface . They use intimidating and force their way into power. The cost of life is deteriorating & each day that passes our lips dry up and crack. Pf lost the last election. Zambians must not encourage people to steal.

    • To steal what? Upnd has even failed to substantiate their claims
So that even us the by standers can be able to support them. We want to know which votes were stolen and from where

  4. Upnd M.Ps should also boycott Parliament session for all five years, than attending for sake of their own gain.We don’t like gold diggers.Respect for the Head of State Edgar Chagwa Lungu make be our priority for a well meaning Zambian.

  5. JOSEPH KASONDE. JUST THE NAME HAS A TELLING STORY THAT THIS IS NOT THE FEELING OF THE INDEGENOUS SHIBUYUNJI PEOPLE. WRONG IS WRONG, NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU MAY TRY TO DECORATE IT. THIS BOYCOT WAS A PROTEST BOYCOT AND IT WAS GOOD TO SEND A SIGNAL TO THE THIEF THAT WE DON’T APPROVE HIS CLANDESTINE THEFT ACTIVITIES.
