Struggling Mufulira Wanderers have set a seemingly audacious target of beating Power Dynamos in Sunday’s away FAZ Super Division match at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe.
Wanderers are currently fourth from the bottom of the 18-team league table with 29 points from 29 games played so far.
Power lost the reverse fixture 1-0 at Wanderers on May 21 with captain Francis Kasonde scoring an own goal.
In a pre-match interview, Wanderers assistant coach Moses Kashimoto branded the match against Power as a must win.
“At all cost we have to win that game against Power Dynamos,” Kashimoto said.
“We don’t want to drop more points. We need to win at least three games to survive relegation,” he said.
Wanderers have posted four wins, 17 draws and 8 defeats.
Third placed Power, who have 53 points after 29 matches, are currently attempting to recover from Saturday’s 1-0 loss to Zesco United in the Barclays Cup semifinals at home.
