2017 African Youth Championship hosts Zambia has two big tests ahead of the tournament in the 2016 Cosafa Under-20 Cup to be held in South Africa in December.
Beston Chambeshi team will get its first competitive test run at the Cosafa Under-20 Cup after they were drawn against archrival Zimbabwe and Malawi in Group B.
Winner from that three team group B will take on victor from Group D comprising of Mozambique, The Comoros and guest team Rwanda.
And at the Africa Youth Championships that Zambia will hists from February 26 to March 12 at venues in Lusaka and on the Copperbelt, Young Chipolopolo will face four-time champions Egypt, Guinea and 2015 semifinalists Mali.
Meanwhile, this years Cosafa U20 cup hosts South Africa will also use the Cosafa tournament as warmup for their CAF Under-20 Cup campaign in Zambia.
South Africa are in Group A at the December tournament and will face Lesotho, Swaziland and Botswana.
Winner from that group will play victor from Group C in the semifinals.
Angola, Namibia, The Seychelles and Mauritius are in Group C.
This years Cosafa Under-20 Cup will be held in the North-Western Province of South africa from December 7-16 at Moruleng and Mogwase Stadiums.
