Sakulanda confident of Cosafa U20 success

Under-20 star midfielder Chrispin Sakulanda believes Zambia can win the ongoing Cosafa Youth Championship in South Africa.

The Junior Chipolopolo have advanced to the quarterfinal play-offs after winning Group B with a perfect record.

Beston Chambeshi’s boys launched the campaign with a 5-1 bashing of Zimbabwe on Wednesday before overcoming Malawi 3-0 in their latest match on Sunday.

“We are aiming to winning the Cosafa Cup and we will go all the way. We have to be focused and win the rest of the matches,” Sakulanda said.

The Mufulira Wanderers player said Zambia worked hard to beat Malawi on Sunday.

“We did what was at stake- winning the game against Malawi. We had to put in more effort,” he said.

Sakulanda has scored two goals in two matches and was voted man of the match in the Malawi tie.

“I feel very happy. I enjoyed the game and played according to the coach’s instructions,” he said.
