It’s wishful thinking for UPND to think the Commonwealth can reverse the elections results

THE Commonwealth has no power to reverse the election of President Edgar Lungu because it was among the international bodies that monitored the 2016 elections and declared it credible, free and fair, PF deputy spokesperson Frank Bwalya has said.

Mr. Bwalya said the misrepresentation that was being portrayed to the world that the UPND won the 2016 general elections and that their victory was stolen will not materialise because it was based on ‘‘lies, incredible deception and wishful thinking’’ that President Lungu’s election would be reversed.

He said the portrayal by some media houses that the Commonwealth delegation quizzed Vice President Inonge Wina over the election

petition by the UPND and its outcome was baseless as the Commonwealth could not sink so low as to interrogate Ms. Wina when the adjudication was done by the courts of law whose judgment was in public domain and could be obtained from the courts.

He questioned the credibility of the story and the inconsistencies therein, saying the same Commonwealth which was being accused of pursuing the petition outcome was among international bodies

which monitored the 2016 general elections.

“The Commonwealth cannot go to the Vice President to query the outcome of the election petition because the courts of law that came up with the verdict are there and the ruling is in public domain which the international body could have obtained from court. This body monitored the elections, declared them free and fair and congratulated President Lungu for the victory.

“However, we are not surprised by these manipulations because we know that these are just ill-conceived intentions aimed at creating an impression that the UPND won the presidential election and that the victory was stolen from them but this will not work,” Mr. Bwalya said.

He accused the UPND of using the claim that it had won the 2016 election to psyche its followers across the country to believe that their victory was stolen so that they did not give up but turn out in numbers to vote for the party in 2021 with a conviction that the party was stronger than the PF.

“The UPND will go into the 2021 with the same claim that it won the 2016 elections as a way of psyching people in its strongholds that its vote was stolen last year and in order to counter the opposition from the ruling party and safeguard their vote. They need to vote “en masse” with the hope that by so doing, it will not lose its voters from the previous election,” he said.

    • Do these PF know anything like “celebrations”. People should discuss how much hang over they have due Under20.
Not UPND elections again. Move on PF.

    • Naimwe ba Father, why not just ignore these idyots kanshi, still talking about the elections to this day?….borrrriiiinnnggg!

  1. Upnd is the only party which thinks by winning in their region then they ‘ve won in the entire country. It started with mazoka vs levy. Then came OVAL HEAD who has been claiming wins from the past 5 elections He has featured. Zambians are not riotous by nature and no one will rise up and burn property because OVAL HEAD wants to be president.

  2. We are not asking to reverse the results of who won the 2016 elections but to do things right. Let the court do a right thing by allowing the petition to be heard. The problem is all these were planned for UPND. The bible says if you dig a ditch for your enemies you fall into it your self. Never plan evil for anyone.

    • @ Matao thats what the court did exactly. Do you want the law to change just to suit you? 14 days my friend is constitutional and that it was clearly elaborated to both PF and UPND when the court started sitting to hear the petition. Why do you people think that you are so special and that certain laws do not apply for you. This is why you are called under fives. Grow up and stop making wild claims.

  3. Well evidence says Lungu stole the election. And this fact is re-enforced by PF itself by not allowing the petition to be heard. Furthermore Lungu is a convicted criminal. He stole money from a lady. He stole the election. He has suddenly become rich, where do you think he earned it if it’s not dipping his grubby hands in state coffers? How long is Bwalya going to defend the indefensible? You are stuck with a huge liability in Lungu.

    • Lungu a convicted criminal?? Which court?? The High Court of Dundumwezi?? kikikikiki…..PF not allowing the petition?? The Constitutional Judges of the Patriotic Front?? kikikikikiki……IS THIS COMEDY CENTRAL LADIES AND GENTLEMEN?????

  4. kikiki the junior rat supporting things he has no clue of. When did this rat qualify as a judge or gain legal experience to be able to judge cases? Please fatherless wanker go and drown yourself you little kid fiddler

  5. Crooked fake fatherless!.U wil b busy sheeting in a pit latrine when the bells wil sound that HH has bin declared as Zambian republican president.

  6. Frank Bwalya you are afraid because your time for prison has come nearer. Just wait. There is nothing your can do about it. God will bring justice and you will fall in the pit you dug for others. What type of upbringing was yours since you are so full of hatred and deception.

  7. Meanwhile all snr upnd zealots are reading these comments and laughing at how ignorant it’s cadres on lt are regarding the case before the high court. They are laughing because they know there is nothing like hearing the petition but hearing the claim by OVAL HEAD that he was not heard according to the bill of rights. Concourt had already thrown out the petition and no other court in Zambia can challenge that decision. To think that a petition will be heard is wishful thinking because it’s neither here or there.

    • YOUR HEAD IS REALLY OVAL AND AM AFRAID, EMPTY. WE KNOW THE CASE BEFORE THE HIGH COURT. THE RIGHT TO BE HEARD IS ENSHRINED IN OUR CONSTITUTION. SHOULD THE COURT FIND FOR UPND, THE CASE WILL BE HEARD BY THE CONCOURT NO LESS. RERAD MORE OVAL EMPTY HEAD BEFORE YOU EXPOSE YOUR PF LUNACY TO THE WORLD.

  8. Fr BWALYA IS RIGHT WHY PEDDLE LIES TO INTERNATIONAL BODIES ATI VOTES WHERE STOLEN WHO STEAL MORE BEMBAZ OR TONGAZ OFCOURSE U KNOW THE ANSWER TONGAZ EVERYDAY STEL NG’OMBE

  9. THIS EX PADRE IS ASSAILED BY A BOUT OF SERIOUS MOON MADNESS. WE ALL KNOW THE LEGITIMATE WINNER OF THE AUGUST POLLS. THE TRUTH ALWAYS POPS TO THE SURFACE NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU MAY TRY TO SUPRESS IT. SO PADRE, TAKE A HIKE AND LATE THE TRUTH SET AS FREE.

  10. I have said it once here and i will say it again,These confused PF eat and sleep UPND. They talk about UPND as if they wished they were UPND. Frank,Davies and the rest of them scared that once the court rules otherwise ,they will have to go into exile. Thats why they have started talking about 2021 when they haven’t been in office for even a year.

  11. Couldn’t agree with you more, Padre. You see the problem is with HH himself. This guy thinks the presidency is his “birthright”. I mean, who can blame him: Andy Mazoka did the hard work and left it for him. Mwanawasa almost left for him and Sata called him to a pact which could have made him president today. Unfortunately it is his misunderstanding of politics that works against him. Don’t get me wrong the guy is intelligent, wealthy, and is a seasoned businessman but his UNDERSTANDING of politics is mediocre. IF HE HAD PERCEIVED THE PACT AS AN OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITH AN EXPERIENCED POLITICIAN LIKE SATA AND LEARN SOMETHING-he would be president today. Thus he feels Edgar Lungu stole his “BIRTHRIGHT”!!

  12. It’s now true HH won’t become president of Zambia any time in his life. He’s wasting too much time on impossibilities. The election is gone, so best thing is to set eyes on the next one.

  13. This chap is the deputy and he talks more than his superiors.shame fatherless to him he comments any thing,he better shaggy silia maybe he will be calm
